i am the same way with my airbrush i am paranoid i am not gonna clean it well enough or break it in some way I have been trying to convince myself to use it but i never feel like i have enough time to properly clean it when I'm done or at least that is my reasoning to myself
That was how I felt too! For me once I learned how to take it apart and clean it properly I got a lot more comfortable. The main things to be careful with are the noddle and the needle.
