Doruk Meriç Well, I am German. And no, I don't support the old Greek position either. Cyprus is one (1) sovereign country. I don't have "an opinion" on that at all, I simply state what the international law is. Read UN Security Council resolutions 353, 357, 358, 359, 360, and 365, all from 1974. When the conflict started, Greece was a military dictatorship. Today Turkey's democracy is fading into a one-man-dictatorship. It's the most unpopular country, and I can hardly believe that a decade ago I supported Turkey to be a part of the EU. Up to 30.000 Turkish soldiers in Cyprus plus 9000 conscripts under Turkish command. Let this beautiful island live in peace. They don't want to be a Turkish or Greek colony.
Doruk, we agree. I am just studying the Falkland war and the way it started. Cyprus one day may also suffer the same fate: A long ignored conflict suddenly errupts because two weak governments in Ankara and Greece want to deviate from their home grown problems. As we know "patriotic" citizens are always easy to be manipulated.
imagine that if Germany's "Rügen Island" had occupied by the Russia in WW2.After the war Rügen was controlled by "UN".Germans and Russians lived together safely in there. After years Russians civilians supported by Russia attacked the German civillians and their associations and forced to immigrate.Despite this events nobody stand by Germans. Finally Germany send troops to help and defend the Germans rights and stop to immigrate and civilian deaths in whole island.UN stopped to Germans also tried to get them out of island and UN was not unbiased.Nevertheless Germany was determined to stay and protect people. Do you think Germany is right or not? (10Rügen=Cyprus,British Empire instead of UN,)
Now that you're back in the area, you gotta visit Turkey again, this time outside of Istanbul in small beach towns such Fethiye, Marmaris, Bodrum , etc.
I forgot to add the city of Gaziantep which is famous for its kabaps and baklava type of pastries. You'll love the Mediterranean and Aegean coast. Too many small towns to list. And then there are those Greek Islands. If you make it to the Black Sea region, you'll be surprised how different it is...especially the cities of Rize and Artvin at Northeast. You can easily cross into Georgia from Artvin.
Driving on the other side makes for such a strange feeling at first! I remember Kara and Nate getting lost also. That road looked like the same one! The pool behind you at the end looked really nice! Ash how do you manage to always be busting out a new outfit? Love it! Great video guys! - Thomas
"I'm not very happy about it even though I sound like it" 😂 I never knew North Cyprus was different than the rest of the island. Super cool you guys are there, can't wait to see the next few videos!
Love that we can show and explain a bit more about this country and teach people a bit more then common knowledge. To be honest we are learning a ton we didn't know. -Ash
I agree, car is definitely the way to travel. We've been renting cars/camper vans lately in many destinations and the freedom is just amazing! Love it. Cyprus seems like a nice destination as well. Can't wait to see you scuba dive! Lotta/Lanttimatkat
Ashley and Josh, you are moving up in the travel vlogging world it seems!!! so happy that you are getting to experience the good things in life while travelling!!! Great video! Are you almost caught up to "real time" vlogs? and that lil baby puppy was sooooo cute!!!!
We drive on the left side of the road because between the years of 1878-1960 we were ruled by the United Kingdom so because they were driving on the left side in england they made our laws the same and we never changed it when they left cause the locals said that they were used to it being that way 😊
Ohhhh, that bed is just my size!! I remember when I HAD to drive when I lived in Alice Springs, AUS, since there wasn't much traffic, I would often find myself on the wrong side of the rode...my kids finally decided they weren't riding with me any more. Ha! I learned to always keep the steering wheel on the inside of the lane. I don't think I've even thought of traveling to Cyprus...now on my extensive bucket list! I think Ashley is part--or maybe almost all--mermaid--she loves the water so much!
I'm completely in awe of all that you guys are doing with your life! Your videos are so freaking amazing... think you just inspired me to buy a plane ticket (i'm actually serious tho lol).
Ahhh kim!!! I never would have guessed that this would be what we're doing back in the day at the London. To be honest I just got room service the other day and It was a big moment for me and I was so excited. haha When will you be here? -Ash

Hmm I'd say it's abit balmier there than at your previous destination! (And I definitely enjoyed your Icelandic adventures!) One thing is constant...Ashley's radiant smile and indomitable spunk. She is such an absolute bundle of joy, never failing to light up the screen no matter where you guys are. Maybe that extra bed can be used for a certain white little fluffball that Ash was making friends with :) The bow in his/her hair! Adorable. Kicking music in this one too :)
oops. when I said "bundle of joy" I didn't mean like a baby. Well, I think you got my gist..and I meant it. Ash lights up the room..screen...night or day :)

With hotels it always depends on the time of year you're traveling. In high season you will end up paying much more then if you are there in low season. You can take a look at their website www.acapulco-cyprus.com/ and choose the time of year you're interested in. So cool to hear from someone in KUALA LUMPUR MALAYSIA . Thanks so much for watching. -Ash

No, it is an unrecognized entity created by the Turkish military. It is not recognized by the UN, the EU or any other country in the WORLD.

yeah it was a total surprise to me! And yeah, they were essentially a colony of the UK for a LONG time... since Richard the Lionheart I think. /J
Crazy. Yeah, I had no idea that Cyprus had any U.K. connections whatsoever in its past, forget for that long and that recently.
Actually Cyprus was in Ottoman Empire between 1570 and 1914. After that It was under British Empire till 1960. So the British history isn't that long in the island
