I remember being confused as to what a "zither" is, but it's been a while since I made this video, so if you're trying to point out something specific, I'm afraid I don't know what you're referring to.
Fun fact... Germany made 3 demands on Poland that were rejected before the invasion. 1. They wanted Danzig back. 2. They wanted a corridor(3 miles wide if I recall correctly) for free travel to/from Danzig. 3. They wanted the Polish government to sign the anticommintern pact (to prevent another neighbor from falling under Marxist control).
Hey Dan, glad to hear from you! If I recall correctly from the novel, which went into fairly detailed exposition at times, Poland refused Germany in the hopes that their refusal would lend them the support of the west, which sadly, it didn't (not in any practical way, at least). America sung their praises, as I'm sure many others did, but that's just about all they did :(
@@coreyhuffman7607 yes, good to hear from you also and see you posting more. Yes; that seems like a legitimate political consideration that was made, though not necessarilly wise. What is really odd about how history is taught is that the mainstream historians cite WW2 starting due to the invasion of Poland, but they neglect USSR expansionism into Poland, Finland, etc.
@@dancoles2235 Yes, unfortunately, I'm sure there are many issues with the way we're taught history in the public education system, as well as just about every other subject 😅. In the wise words of Mark Twain (if the internet is to be believed): "I was educated once. Took me years to get over it." Since graduating from university, I've felt much the same.
You are massively underrated
I really appreciate your tutorials, thank you.
Pug's daughter Madeline was working for a radio show host. The butcher with the zither was one of the acts in a show.

Enjoyed this, and found the examples useful, thank you.
Glad you took something away from it, Ken. Means a lot to know these videos help people, if only a little 🙂.

Music is detracting
Yeah, I've had a few others say the same, so in recent/future videos I'm only including it at the beginning and end.
