i wish my friends and i gave this game more of a chance. i was off it within a month or 2 and they ended up adding some classic maps and a lot of dope content

Don't be fooled, it looks great but the sbmm was absolutely terrible and it had quite a few horrendous maps, not to mention terrible scorestreak system. it's only fun for so long until you get tired of the same bs
if u didnt like it coming back to it prolly wouldn't have changed that. i came back hella times and always hated it everytime. just wasnt shit compared to 2019 no matter what anybody says lol

I had way more fun in this game than MW2019 and MW2, I don’t care for the realism or the animations I just want a game that is fun and overall designed well. This game looks beautiful even without the newer engine, it still has better looking and better map design than maps in MW2. Definitely the best COD of the last 5 years even with its poorly designed scorestreak system it does everything else better than the other recent games.
Best COD out of the last 4. Has red dots on mini map, ninja perk, and the maps have flow.

Cold War was dope man. People hated it because it felt like a downgrade graphically but Cold War feels like a remastered BO2

@@jonathanmarkham1998 it doesnt have the detail or raw graphical fidelity of mw2 but imo the distinct and characteristic artstyle combined with the vibrant colour pallet make cw look MILES better than mw2 in spite of it

Cold War is definitely one of the better CODs in recent years but suggest It's even anywhere close to BO2 is ridiculous. BO2 was peak Call Of Duty.

Wrong combined arms is still searchable literally play a match yesterday but this guy “JetsRegrets” ruins lobbies in which he’s insane idk how do it but i rather play combined arms/fireteam than 12v12 mosh pit where all the sweats play

I'm eager to see what Treyarch is gonna do with the IW engine, their map designs are amazing. Besides the SBMM and Killstreaks, the game plays better for me than the MW games. They just outright better traditional CODs in terms of gameplay

Personal I think cold war was over hated, while the game does have problems. You have to remember that this game was made in 6 months.
bro this game was believe it or not in my opinion one of my favourite call of dutys. As someone who has experienced the golden era of MW2, BO1, BO2, this game was spectacular. I remember buying that anime blueprint for the ak74u. The first ever in-game purchase I made was actually in Season 2 where I bought the Ice Drake Necroking
i feel so bad for having called it trash...i was comparing it to MW2019 but now i realize its one of ther most fun cods. PS agreed with u on sbmm and scorestreak for free
Bruh, I'm telling you. If it didn't have SBMM and a traditional scorestreak system or something like MWll, this game could probably become the new BO2.
Man during COVID, MW 2019 and BOCW were my go to games. What a blast I had!

although it’s not the most polished game from treyarch and in retrospect it’s not the most enjoyable experience but it’s definitely a memorable one, i may be biased in a way but if i was given the chance to relive the life cycle of a cod game it would be this one. despite the pandemic being at its peak and hardly anyone could go outside, i loved the many times i’d stay up without a worry of going to classes the next day, grinding dark aether, talking and laughing with my friends, getting with my girlfriend. this period was probably the best i’ve been mentally in my life and i’ll forever be grateful for the friends and family i’ve known during it
This game's lifecycle was my favorite CoD cycle for sure. CW is one of the greatest CoDs of all time and Warzone was at its peak.
I also love MWII but CW is even better, it's the only CoD in which i unlocked the Mastery Camo (Dark Aether) on.
I just downloaded it 2 days ago and I am having tons of fun grinding the multiplayer.

This game is good, not so bad, people only look MP but it is decent ngl, campaign is good enough, not peak campaign but good enough. The best part if we talk about full game was zombies. The content came slowly but since the black ops 4 zombies, cold war zombies is a lot better, close as good as black ops 3 zombies.
They had like 6 months to develop this game and polish it, so it's pretty good if you look it that way, and COVID just struck the world which made thing much worse
Cold war was my peak point at sniping I never had this much fun of sniping in a while

Awesome game from the beginning to the end for me. The maps, the guns, the TTK, the enemy healthbars, the colors, the mechanics, the game modes (I absolutely adore prop hunt), the theater mode, the stats that display on the loading screens, the Zombies. This game had everything. Best CoD for me since 2012
Closer to 2 years than 3 years considering all new cods come out in late october or november and thats only launch so if you consider when people really stopped playing which wouldve been when the next cod came out (vanguard in late 2021) its only been about a year and a half

Bruh, I'm glad you said something about the annoying ass snipers in this game. It's the number 2 reason I didn't play it often and don't return to it often. The sbmm is the number 1 reason, but the insanely OP snipers completely ruin the 6v6 small map mode.
The game they decide to make quickscoping the easiest in has among the shortest ttk lmao
I can tolerate the quickscoping to an extent but when one has to play against a group of them, it can be extremely annoying. Especially on 12v12...

reason i liked this game was because it felt like classic cod to me minus the scorestreak system and sbmm the general feeling made me like it and i played it for a long time even through vanguards life cycle i played it

I got the game to play with a friend and never ended up playing with that friend but I fell in love with the game only reason I dont play now is because I hate how much storage new cod games take up

this game was sooo underrated. if they added the movement mechanics of bocw to mw2 and kept dolphin diving it would be so fun. obviously not as good as slide cancelling but better than nithjng

I had more fun in this than both mw games but I did miss the new engine and thought the sounds sucked. Hopefully the next treyarch release on the MW engine will improve that.
The next Treyarch game is going to be on the IW9 engine since all the games are going to be unified under the same engine. I agree tho I had more fun on this game than the newer MW’s but if it was on the new engine it would’ve made it even better.
The Blueprints for this game are so cool.
My biggest problem I have with cold war is it always felt slightly clunky with the movements and animations it just wasn't as smooth as mw but other then that it's still a very fun game and one of my absolute favourites still having fun on it now in 23

I can’t even go back to it anymore. The game has a memory leak for some setups and I’ll have like 3 out of my 11GB allocated but it’ll use 8-9GB of my Vram and a good 15GB of RAM. RAM is fine because I have 32GB in dual channel but the Vram usage just creeping up every match is horrible. MW2019 has the same problem. Mw2 does as well but only jumps like 100MB every few minutes. And no the galil wasn’t in BO2 MP it was in BO1 though. And of course BO2 zombies.

Biggest issues of Cold War:
- Lackluster amount of launch content
- Lack of original maps
- Lack of good Cold War era atmosphere with too many BO2 aesthetic maps
- Bad Scorestreak system
True it has more of a cartoony bo2 vibe which was when cod fell off, should've been like bo1

I started playing cold war against also lately. Killstreak or strong yes but are managable. Only thing that really anoy me is the tec 9
Cold War zombies was really fun and the campaign was fire too.
On the multiplayer side, I had a 50/50 experience. Sometimes, I get good games. Sometimes, my entire team where bots and I had to carry them against a full 6 man team.
Still I enjoyed Cold War and MW19. Glad I never bought Vanguard.

Cold War got a lot of hate for no reason at all. Me and my friend would spend hours a day playing the game, and I have to say that it's one of my personal favorites in the franchise. But sadly, since MW22 came out, we've just been playing that. I really want to go back to Cold War and I might actually do so. Thank you for reminding me of the fun moments I had with my closest friend

I loved it since it first came out. Campaign was amazing, zombies was simple and nice, and a decent multiplayer. Overall I think the best COD we had since BO3

How are you able to get into a multiplayer game? I bought Cold War on steam for £16 yesterday and after hours I still cant get into a game. I've turned on cross-play and I'm on European servers.
Same problem, I got it on steam but couldn't join any game. They also removed the ranked mode which is why I returned it and got a full refund. I have to stick to csgo and valorant now but alas I love cod. Call of Duty Mobile is quite popular in my area though but I am not a big fan of mobile games. I would love to see a cod mobile style game made for pc.
maybe its your games but when I went back I had a fun time the scorestreak system is so annoying however and even was during its life cycle. It felt nice going back to the old cod engine kinda nostalgic but im excited to see what they do with the new engine. I feel like the warzone influence hurt the game a bit. Even with that the maps in this game is better than the vanguard mw2019 and even mw2.

"you can get your scorestreaks even if you die 20 times" By far the best system we have ever had. All of you had to ruin it. The ac130 requires 11k points, even if you get on a 15!! streak and die, you still need 8 or so again to get it. the fact that the devs listen to you guys, is the reason cod is dying so hard atm. Scared devs, and stupid customers.
I got Cold War in January of 2023. Last COD game I owned was MW3 and last COD game I played was Ghosts. It’s safe to say when I played this for the first time in 10 years, I was very satisfied and I got a lot of nostalgia from BO1

@@maksdrake5698 oh no online is certainly alive! There’s 1,000-3,000 players online daily. So you won’t have trouble finding any matches. Rarely you’ll run into a hacker that’s using aimbot but the hackers are usually on the Nuketown 24/7 mode, any other game mode is rare you’ll stumble across one
cold war is the only recent cod game I enjoy
I prefer the look at feel of it over anything on the MW engine

I love cold war I just didn't like the zombies also some of my camo challenges like kill people while detected by uav wasn't tracking
In terms of grafics and animations it's a complete downgrade compare to MW2019. Another thing that annoyed me was the lack of some unique cold war guns - like the FAL, SVD, Makarov and the Olympia and the fact that I can only play the game while using a wired internet, because the lag was very high.
Besides that the gameplay is great, better than Mw2019 to be honest.
Honestly its one of the best more recent cod mw2 is just i love it but i hate it the annoying ass spawns for some reason its just teleports enemies in your spawn even if their are like 7 other players sieses to confuse the shit out of me honestly i had more fun on coldwar
