How good is Redacted's voice acting? So good that he can take a charcter whos usely loud, hyper, and playful, put him in an audio where hes quiet, calm, and gentle, yet, if this was played at you from a black screen with no clues, youd still IMMEDIATELY know which character it was.
For me, the most comforting thing about this audio is the amount of trust Ash and Babe have in each other. Not just the ability to fall asleep together, which in and of itself is such a sweet show of trust, it’s their ability to be comfortable in silence with each other. I really value and appreciate relationships (platonic or romantic) where you can be comfortable in silence, not feeling the need to come up with some half-baked conversation because without it there’s no need for you two to be in each other’s vicinity. For me, being comfortable in silence isn’t just a “walls down” thing, it’s also a sign of equality in the relationship. No one person feels the need to take the reigns and steer, you’re both on equal ground. Equality, communication, and mutual respect are present in every romantic relationship in these audios and it’s changed my perspective and expectations when it comes to relationships. These qualities aren’t some pipe dream, they’re crucial to making a relationship work. And that’s something I want to lead by example in.

Incidentally, the fact that Asher and Babe met in an elevator means a lot to me. I’ve been trapped in an elevator before and it’s led to some issues with claustrophobia. Makes me wonder what would have happened if I had been trapped in the elevator with someone like Asher to help calm me down. I’m glad Babe had someone there to help them. ☺️ It’s, become strangely comforting to listen to that first audio of them meeting. Ash may give the impression to the world as being a clown or a goof but he's got a loving beautiful heart. You can't get beat that and for the cherry he's loyal to his friends/pack/brothers and his lover. This was just such a fuzzy feel good audio I literally just woke up from a nap and was in that relaxed mode before you get up and start moving.
