    I think the competitive meta is healthy enough in pokemon right now, somewhat centralized but with enough variety; but these kind of results from online tournaments and city leagues really make me happy! It’s a good game when you can play well with a clever rogue list and take a top spot. Rogue decks forever!

    Been using this version of the deck for a little over a week now. I was able to get 2nd at my local (about 24 players). I fought against Roaring Moon Ex (won), Charizard/Dragapult Ex (lost), Festival Diplin (won), Greninja Ex (won), Raging Bolt (won), Iron Thorns Ex (won), Lost Zone (lost).

    I can’t believe that PTCGL still doesn’t automatically take your last prize cards for you like PTCGO did, if I’m remembering correctly. I haven’t played much since the switch to Live and I’m kind of just coming back, and I had a game recently where I won with an attack and went upstairs while the attack animation played. About 15 seconds later I realized I hadn’t manually clicked the prize card and rushed downstairs to see that I had been accidentally BM’ing my opponent.

    This is my favorite deck to play when shrouded fable came out. Once you get pecharunt and weavile/morpeko into play you barely needed to draw new cards from your deck. It's like you have switch, rare candy (cuz palafin ex is basically a stage 2 with extra steps), and boss's orders all in your board at all times. I tried cutting the baby palafin to two because they all got shuffled back into the deck anyways and I just maximized on Irida to consistently find them. I would also put two morpeko and a 1 of weavile and sneasle, only because you only play weavile when your opponent has a lot of bench liabilities. Otherwise weavile is too slow to build up with rescue board and you'd rather have morpeko as a more consistent option. I'm still torn between fezandipiti or bibarel for my draw engine tho, I noticed that once you have everything in play you barely need to draw at all.

    • @humourlessjester3584
      @humourlessjester3584 4 місяці тому +3

      @@Lordrakeenov It's literally just the list in the video with the changes I've described. Probably the other different thing in my list is that I play academy at night, it helps with putting palafin ex back in the deck or top deck a research in case of a bad iono play. I think there are better stadium cards for this deck that will be released in the future but for now you can use this as your stadium. Can't give you the full list right now cuz I don't have access to my account. But I'll remember to put it here once I get it recovered.

    • @humourlessjester3584
      @humourlessjester3584 4 місяці тому +2

      @@itsDragonBane It does need some tuning when I first piloted it. But I think if you focus your first few turns to set up your board state, it runs itself at turn 2-3.

    • @dracosummoner
      @dracosummoner 4 місяці тому

      I'm the reverse, I never knew about that Weavile but was using Fezandipiti consistently since it's both a draw engine and a free retreat (Rescue Board), to say nothing of how if you Switch a Zero to Hero Palafin into the active spot and then use Pecharunt's ability to send it to the bench and bring the Fez+Rescue up, you get another Palafin-ex and a free retreat at the same time. I've had mixed feelings about Bibarel in some other decks because it can get Bossed into the active spot and stuck there because of its retreat requirements, but in a deck like this, that may be a moot point.

    congrats on new sponsor LDF!
    weavile attack for 70 damage is costly at 2 energy cost and so no dark energy I guess. atleast pecharunt could be an attacker

    • @rebornreaper194
      @rebornreaper194 4 місяці тому +1

      Yeah I've tried this out quite a bit. I usually put in Luminous Energy + 1 dark energy, then 4 water energy. It almost never came up to a situation where I had time to build up the Pecharunt energy -- I always either needed to focus the attach for turn to Palafin, or it wasn't relevant (I was winning anyway). I really wanted it to work, b/c it seems strong in theory. But yeah.

    These variations improve a lot in the tourneys online, especially if you dont want to rely on meta decks and try a less than meta gameplay. Recent decks for single prizers are getting on the rage.

    Played this deck at a local casual comp today and go tied 3rd place. Its a really fun deck when it works. However very easily can hit a brick wall if you dont pull the right cards.

  • @user-fr3qo2gf5m
    @user-fr3qo2gf5m 4 місяці тому +2

    I've tried several times to play a deck a lot like this one, and I tried again today with this build. It may be my fault (probably is!), but I can't make it work. You've got to get out (quickly!) your finizens, a Pecharunt, a Morpeko, and an energy to make it run at all, and the deck just doesn't have enough draw to pull it off with any consistency. It *can*, but when it bricks, it seems to me it bricks hard. I'm going back to Regidrago.

    • @johnwoodard7963

    A good alternative is playing a Gastly/Gengar with the Night Gate ability. Helps get around any issues with losing a rescue board and it's only 100 damage but the attack can put them to sleep, if you decide to play dark energy. I play 3 in case I need Pech to attack. But this is interesting.

      It's so much fun to play and to watch since you're constantly moving things in and out of the active spot (kind of like that short-lived Ursaluna deck), and it does a better job of setting itself up than you might think it'd be able to do.

    I am curious about a rule or a bug in TCGL. In that first battle with your second palafin you knocked out the moon then on your next turn subjugating chains him back then retreated the snezel and were able to giga impact again. However the rule under giga impact is that you cant attack again with this pokemon on your next turn. Does benching it unlock that ability to be used again? I might be a noob or am missing something here.

      Yes switching it resets that effect. That’s the same way the old Miraidon decks functioned and why they used beach court to be able to always switch out and reset the “you can’t attack next turn” effect.

    Do you think it could be worth running Rigid Band and/or Lake Acuity in this deck? Just to make Palafin that much more bulky. Running both effectively puts it at 390HP, which is frankly insane on a Stage 1
