@@Aerie40 NF started out dealing with a drug-addicted eventually suicidal mother and a (reportedly alcoholic) father who divorced, then placed him with his grandparents while his father raised a new family. He felt rejected, abandoned, worthless and self-loathing. He was lucky to be involved in church groups that provided emotional support and guidance (not all do). He also took to heart his mother's pill addiction and has steadfastly avoided them, even avoiding a number of prescribed drugs lest he be pulled into that maelstrom. I'm all in for your art/science fusion reactions because I'm able to apply what is routinely abstract in the field of science to our everyday lives. Yet this reaction hit differently, we often forget people on the other side of the screen face the same challenges we all do, thank you for trusting us with being vulnerable. You're not alone, I've been dealing with my own psychological demons, heck everyone I know has. I'm sure you know that, but I also hope it brings a little extra comfort to hear it anyway.

Thank you, Dr. Anna, for your reaction to Hope today. NF's slogan is Real Music; he creates music that is REAL, filled with emotion, and makes listeners self-reflect. He's been blessed with the gift to lyrically pull at the emotional strings of his audience's hearts. We may not relate to every song he creates, but there is certainly a song for everyone. His music relates and aligns well with the theme of your channel. I highly recommend that you go back, listen to his music in order, and enjoy the NF journey, as there's much imagery and symbolism embedded in his work. (at some point, a fan will list references in this song that tie back to previous pieces). His music is family-friendly, and he doesn't curse. You listened to one song and became emotional during the final transition; forewarning, you will experience this again, it's just part of the experience. It's honestly part of what makes NF's music beautiful. Suggestion: I would, and I am sure other subscribers or fans of yours would enjoy this. If possible, could you go back and react to some of his music? Certain songs tie to specific or a few emotions, and it would be really cool if you followed up and educated your community on how the mind plays a part in emotions. How do we feel what we feel, or how do certain emotions impact our rationalism? I know nothing about your field, but I'm sure you can create exciting/interesting content.

Love your reaction. If you haven’t seen his padre work he essentially makes music as his therapy and processes his mental baggage through it. By joining the Nf journey (fans have assembled lists of what to watch and listen to) you can see him progress and learn about his journey in life through it. It makes this song hit soo much harder knowing everything he had been through.
NF's songs have this thing about them, the more I hear them, the more they 'hit'. And watching anyone else react to them, magnifies that emotion. I feel like that's one reason people love watching NF reactions so much.
I am myself during my psychotherapy. I have been having OCD and depression for something like 9 years now. Only recently got to the therapy. Most of my life I've been listening to NF. Man, I am so very happy and excited that he recovered and it gave me extra motivation and hope in my journey to my mental health. Wishes for all mentally ill - wish everything best to you.
I would suggest you also listen to Why, The Search, and Leave Me Alone which is about a lot of what you were sharing. Loved your reaction Dr. Subbed hoping you will do some more NF.
It really is a great song. He has so much experience to pull from and has taken the time to really express that in his music. The last part “30 years of…” is so powerfully motivating. It’s that battle with your internal doubts that keeps you down and submissive until you can conquer them. The first step to overcoming your anxiety, insecurity, or whatever is holding you from becoming the best version of yourself is to tell yourself you can. And do so often.
From 6:28 to 7:28 i had the chills just watching how you reacted to that, this song is already powerful for itself but i felt everything you felt in that minute, it was beautiful how you shown your emotions Take this NF journey and you'll be amazed by what this man has to say Much love 🙏❤

Thank you for all you are and all you do SiStar. So many are learning to go within instead of seeking without. Ren and NF are having a profound impact on so many who are desperate to silence the loud voice of the Shadow so they can hear the still, small voice of reason within. On my own coming of age heroes journey, I have learned there is nothing to forgive and nothing to heal for each experience was to teach and now I can help others come to peace within. I see trauma so differently now for it is such an amazing teacher. The generational trauma ends with awareness that only comes when we go within. What an amazing sojourn through this perceived realm... Shalom to you and yours in these pivotal times.
"I pray to God. Yes... I do pray to God!" Subscribed. ☑ It takes so much genuine authenticity to openly admit who you are regardless of what anyone else might say or feel. Following your heart and it's exactly what NF sang

You add such a unique perspective to the reaction space. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate that you provide really valuable information yet still allow yourself to show an emotional connection to the music and not make it clinical. Wonderful work!
I'm not religious but I love your message and his message. Everyone has to look at themselves and realize what they are getting wrong and what traumas you can pass to your children. Beautiful reaction.
NF captures how it's feels to be depressed better than almost anybody ever has. At a Kurt Cobain level. People who don't live with suicidal depression will never understand even if they're understanding people. Somebody suffering with depression that's on the next level and this artist gets it and it makes me feel better when I listen to him
Ren is another artist who picks up on the internal struggle with the mind. The song is called Hi Ren. Also, a lot of NF's music touches on his struggles throughout his life.
Sometimes the words of others, remixxed or stolen from I know not where...is just better than what I could ever say. "Be who you need to be, yet never forget who you are" - Black Thought(?), kinda recent. He did a sort of slam poetry type performence without any sound. Only history video clips. I feel like I have heard that idea before, yet that is my most recent memory of the concept in a single sentence.
Just had a serious epiphany and began crying. Based off the dialogue of the the strongest ones are the ones finding the bright times when their ain’t one segment
Light is brightest just before the dawn. The reason for that metaphorical aphorism is that we, as human beings, become accustomed to the lack of light during nightime. And especially if without fire. Spend one moonless night in the world, and when that sun rises, yet just before it peaks over the horizon...you will infact see the perception of some of the brightest light possible. Also, the idea is still just a metaphor. Don't stare into the sun.
Like others are saying, please explore NFs metaphors. Everything in this video (visual, verbal) are tied into a web of metaphor, black-white, fear-hope, journey-map, the house of his own mind's torments, the song playing when he's dumped into the mansion here in this video, the prison. You might be overwhelmed, honestly.
I’m happy to play this with Nate 7/18 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. I’ll be releasing my first rock album on 7/19. A decade ago on 7/19 my life changed forever and I got a T.B.I. I was given a number to write music with anyone I wanted to and I ended up writing with Nate.

Yeah it is and Yeah there was better times but at the End of each Part. It ends with Rock Bottom. Every Build ups I made getting Crushed to the Ground. I Pray 4 better Days. To all People around the World. That Someday everybody understands. We are not Born to Crime, racism, Hate. You can Not be a Friend with everyone in this World. But altleast you can Respect his Life and decisions, unless they are not negative Ruin your Life. Before you talk about other People's Life looks at your own without the Blue Sky Glasses on. (Maybe they just Scared about there trueself) Peace out ✌
This song hits so hard for me dealing with constant mental break downs finally made the choice to walk away from my job for 4 years for something different and this couldn't hit at a better time for me
its actually amazing that you react and give valuable insight and relatable concepts to apply to our lives and our psyches. But one thing needs to be amended, there is no such thing as rock bottom, cause you can always go lower. Always. Rock bottom is a comfort description allowing everyone to believe once you hit a few snags or go through a really hard time, you can make it back up, but there is no such thing as the bottom, because pain, anguish, suffering, trauma, misgivings and all the bad stuff we can think of to describe negatively altering events, they are all bottomless pits, they can continue to go on forever and ever. ROCK BOTTOM DOES NOT EXIST. ITS A LIE AND MYTH. What the key is figuring out how to climb out of the pit or stop yourself from falling, or letting someone else help you.
Another thing is I have seen therapist react to NF and it’s almost like they learn new things from instead of the other way around seeing it from a different perspective

A neuro reaction of NF - Mansion would be awesome. Enjoyed the real reaction. Look forward to seeing what’s next.
Thank you for your kind and encouraging words, Ed. I always look forward to seeing your comments and thoughts about my videos - they are always so thoughtful! Many blessings to you :)
This video has a lot of meaning behind it! Thank you for pointing that out!! Love your channel!
I am obsessed with watching reactions to this video. I've never seen a song visibly move people like this one. When he started talking about what having kids will do to you, your reaction was incredible. You almost being moved to tears had me right on the edge myself. Great reaction!
I watch all the reaction videos too and tear up throughout the whole song every time. NF’s journey is amazing.
I lost my 10 month old daughter in 2015. Seeing the bright side through the darkness when there isn't one, really hits home. I always thought to myself "I was lucky to get those 10 months with her. Some don't get any memories wether it be still births or no pregnancies at all. I also have epilepsy, had grand mal(sp) seizures when I was 15. I have focal seizures now. I will be following your channel 😊
Thank you for your thoughtful comments and great ideas, Brandon! I will happily add your insightful request to my list. :-)
@@neurogalmd I’m subscribing so i can watch ur nf journey. The perfect start would be with “how could you leave us”. Trust me, u will cry but it’s the biggest piece to why he is who he is.
Let you down is also great one bout his father’s low option of him. Very sad powerful video as his father just watches him drown
Lastly mansion is so important. Yes I too listened randomly until I decided to listen started with first album and each song till I was done. It took me long time since he wrote his pain and working through it. He’s incredible writing who helps people connect to real life situations

You're so calming and actually have a "voice of reason", for that, I thank you.
I would suggest you also listen to Why, The Search, and Leave Me Alone which is about a lot of what you were sharing. Loved your reaction Dr. Subbed hoping you will do some more NF.
I really love how you break things down you are spot on
NF is one of my favorite artists. He really has good insight for being as young as he is. Thanks for the reaction. 😁
Your genuine, raw, and unfiltered reactions to his lyrics are something else. ❤❤
For anyone who doesn’t know from 5:00 to 5:27 in the background is one of his oldest songs mansion
wow > thank you for this reaction ! you were great with Hi Ren and here you come again !
Beautiful reaction! I loved how much you loved it. Keep on keeping on being a beautiful human being❤️
From 6:28 to 7:28 i had the chills just watching how you reacted to that, this song is already powerful for itself but i felt everything you felt in that minute, it was beautiful how you shown your emotions
Take this NF journey and you'll be amazed by what this man has to say
Much love 🙏❤
You are soothing, sha.....Its such a joy when someone gets NF. I hope you take the full journey. Makes "Hope" all the more EPIC!
i am glad you teared up also. you can see his dark side trying to break through.
Hey :) I´ve watched a lot of people reacting to this song, but wow, your reaction was so beautiful. As others said, thank you for showing your emotion and sharing your honest thoughts on the lyrics. Keep it up & have a wonderful day
Do more NF! He’ll become one of your favorite artists!
こんばんは、お疲れ様です。NFの曲、なぜか涙が出てくるんですよね。
love your reaction, very insightful opinions and views on his symbolism in the song. I want more NF from you ❤
I've made my rounds from so many reactors on this song - and am back to listening to your reaction again - full circle - thank you for your insights.
Great reaction to one of my favorite artist , I like that ♥️
Thank you for all you are and all you do SiStar.
Yes... I do pray to God!"

It takes so much genuine authenticity to openly admit who you are regardless of what anyone else might say or feel. Following your heart and it's exactly what NF sang
Woah mind blown 🤯 of what you mentioned @ 2:46
Appreciation for this song is exponential when you've heard/watched Mansion too.
I can see your empathy in your eyes ❤
Best song yet.. this ties just about every single song\album as of yet.
You really should listen to all of his stuff in order lol. I know you started about 2 weeks ago and I really hope you continue! I love your videos!
NF gets a lot of hate but he's amazing. He tells a story through all of his albums.
i love all of his music its so deep. great reaction
You add such a unique perspective to the reaction space. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate that you provide really valuable information yet still allow yourself to show an emotional connection to the music and not make it clinical. Wonderful work!
OMG! What a beautiful reaction!!! You are angel!!! 🫶
I'm not religious but I love your message and his message. Everyone has to look at themselves and realize what they are getting wrong and what traumas you can pass to your children. Beautiful reaction.
Wish you would just let these tears go
Great reaction tho
These Reactions are always so Emotional Powerful.I Love it !!KEEP IT UP!!!!!
I feel like I have heard that idea before, yet that is my most recent memory of the concept in a single sentence.
thank you for another insightful reaction.....nf is from another planet
How could you leave us by NF will have you sobbing 😭
This is so good so insightful and so motivational thank you
Just had a serious epiphany and began crying.
I really hope we get to see you react to "Happy"! Been hoping you'd break that one down with your expertise.
NF music is about mental health, I think you will appreciate his music , please take the journey
4:39 👏👏👏👏. You're wonderful, you're wonderful! 🙏🙏❤❤✝✝
So beautiful, i subbed because your rewction is so genuine
I loved your reaction ❤️🔥✌️💯. NF is different. Nobody does it like he does.
Hi Anna ! :-) you are doing great ! wow ! keep on sharing the good word .
Your videos are amazing. Please don't stop making them.
Please do the NF journey
You should start getting to know Nate(NF). I really hope you reach to more of his song as this guy is worth it. The NF JOURNEY. Much in this song is based on his life... "mom I forgive you"...that is so insanely powerful knowing Nate. Check out his song 'How could you leave us' and you get a glimpse of who he is.
The mental breakdown part is sooo true, the lowest points in my life pushed me to seek therapy and finally face the disfunctional parts of my mental health.
Love from Melbourne Australia knackers ♥️🇦🇺
Hey , i Really enjoyed your Reaction. You'r the first one who really felt his Music and Lyrics. I just dont know why People are so hatred against each other, besides so much People feeling like he is singing. Like you said when having Kids you realize or deny your True self. I went to 30 Year 's of hope and now i lost it. When you try to be positive and not giving up. After every Smile comes a Punch in the Face. (Stand up go on. Live i tough. There Coming better times.) Yeah it is and Yeah there was better times but at the End of each Part.
(Maybe they just Scared about there trueself)
Peace out ✌
This song hits so hard for me dealing with constant mental break downs finally made the choice to walk away from my job for 4 years for something different and this couldn't hit at a better time for me
One of the hardest things for me is to not think about what other people think of me…sometimes I hate it
its actually amazing that you react and give valuable insight and relatable concepts to apply to our lives and our psyches.
I would love to see your reaction to the entire search album. That entire album takes a deep dive into the darker parts of our own psychology
You should go down the NF Rabbit hole. Its a ride that will have you in a bubble of emotions. But its worth every second. Love the reaction.
Another thing is I have seen therapist react to NF and it’s almost like they learn new things from instead of the other way around seeing it from a different perspective
An Epic Comeback, Loved this song..the music video gave me chills…
I know this song hit her the way of face expression and it's an amazing song 🔥🔥 NF is goat 🐐
