It's been a year since I lost my sweet Sheltie to Bone Cancer at age 11. RIP precious Wendy girl. Only Sheltie owners understand what wonderful dogs they are and the terrible pain of their passing.
Awww! This made me miss my Sheltie boy so much! He passed in 2020 at nearly 14. He was such a sweetheart and used to do the exact say things when he wanted loves.
Couldn’t image our home with out our two shelties. They are so loving, affectionate and above all sooooo smart. Our vacuum gets a workout every day but that is part of owning two shelties!M
The multi black and white tan looks just like my Angel baby boy oh boy how sweet I miss even more when I see that one she had to go to doggie heaven, Cancer they are Soo loving
Beautiful shelties. I have one that looks very similar to the lighter sable one. Shelties are so affectionate, one can't help but fall in love. They can get very possessive, though. Sometimes she hates it when I have company over. Like she wants to make sure people know she's my dog :)
These are my absolute favorite dogs in the world! They are just so sweet. Makes me want to get another one. I can totally see 3 Shelties in my house. By the way, did you notice that not even one of these beautiful Shelties let out a single bark?
Awww...the little fluffy angels...they can do NO WRONG! :D Although I would recommend you buy a large fluffy rug for that tile floor hun so they can lie down on it. Tile can make dogs feel uncomfortable. Just a suggestion. ^_^
Aww so cute. We have a sable and white sheltie as well. Ours looks very similiar to the one in the video. Ours is very sweet as well. She loves to play with the kids in the neighborhood and the other dogs.
I'll tell you what--own, or spend time, with one hundred breeds--and you will come back to this one. No breed-no breed, is perfect, but this one is pretty ideal IMO

I had a girl Sheltie growing up. BUT-you have to Socialize them early! She hated strange men, and chased cars (we should have leashed her-I know-but, it was the only exercise she got.) She got hit once, kept chasing, and then died a natural Death of Doggie Lymphoma at twelve-just before I graduated high school. She was laying around, panting and throwing up.. We should have put her down a month before that, but we waited for the tissue diagnosis (which came back the day she Died.) Mom bred her twice-two litters of eight (six girls/two boys both times) before Dad insisted she be spayed. It's also best to spay/neuter dogs within year after they're born.
Our sheltie is 14 1/2 and not doing so great. She's been the best companion and we love her soooo much but will have to say goodbye soon. Suzy will never be forgotten.
Awwww!! Mine lived until 12. That's the thing-except for some bird breeds and Galapagos turtles-along with Tarantulas (whom I'm NO fan of!) pets don't live so long. Like the Late George Carlin said: "you go to the pet store and you KNOW you're bringing home a little tragedy!"
I have the same problem w/ my sheltie. She drives me and my husband nuts so I know what you're going through. There's nothing you can do w/ their barking since we even asked our vet about it.

I LOVE MY Sheltie too! She's right by my side and always such a HAPPY DOG ! Honestly having a Sheltie changed me in ways I can't explain.

My Sheltie lives for butt rubs. She first presents you with the head but then turns around so you can rub her lower back. Glutton for pets and rubs.
I guess that's another thing they have in common with rough collies.
