you guys don't even know, when I saw them live back in 2012, they kicked so much ass that I still consider them to be the best live performance I've seen.
Met them and watched them play at Warped in 2010, really down to earth and a great performance. Bout to see them again this year in AC, came to this video for nostalgia/a refresher lolll
When all is said and done Where will you be You'll be staring right back Right back at me Never, never talk back to me Quiver at the sound That we scream. Never been a fan of goodbyes You know that I'd rather leave you here to die You know that. And when you say my name You get the best of me I feel, I can feel. You're bitter You can't get over me Deliver Her body back to sea. Won't let you be the death of me You know that before it's over you will see The waves crash. And when you say my name You get the best of me I feel, I can feel You won't be leaving anytime soon You're sewn into my veins I'm left with all the memories Behind the broken frames. Far away, far away I can see your face Out of flames you fly Out of broken frames Silence words you cry Left to wonder why I'm waiting. And when you say my name You get the best of me I feel, I can feel You won't be leaving anytime soon You're sewn into my veins I'm left with all the memories Behind the broken frames. And when you say my name You get the best of me I feel, I can feel You won't be leaving anytime soon You're sewn into my veins I'm left with all the memories Behind the broken frames. Behind the broken frames You're sew into my veins.
The first song I heard was Darling in like 2013 and here we are 11 years on, Eyes Set to Kill are still fitting into my playlists, absolutely love their songs
Hey, please don't hate. We respect your taste in music. No matter how many times you tell us what you like it is not going to change the fact that we still have our own opinions.
I just returned from these fellas live show and guess what? They were completely outstanding! *watch?v=ywhvj7UaDHo* That is so awesome! UA-cam the link and have fun!
i listened to their top rated songs. i like the screams and the girl's vocal. but there is just something that is lacking. the rhythm maybe. not so catchy
I think it is how loud their song should be... but it's not. My volume is completely up and this is.... disappointing for listening to this band for the first time. Next band....
Sorting thru hundreds of older reviews I wrote, putting together a compendium... This was one of my favorites. For CWG - Eyes Set To Kill - Broken Frames - August, 2010 A preface of all things: Eyes Set To Kill came into my life in the early months of 2009 by some chance technological encounter. Fucking around on UA-cam, early morning, hammered beyond all recognition, lit, and terribly depressed because of an impending divorce and full of raging suicidal tendencies… I happen to wallow my way across the video for Heights from the album The World Outside, and within that small dwelling I called my rotten shabby living quarters, I felt nothing but an immense and absolute love for the band, and most notably Alexia Rodriguez’s angelic voice. The video… A drab warehouse enflamed to a heavy bass-laid groove by a band that has come to define what’s been labeled the Scene Sound by some lame asshole at some major establishment media source. Regardless of what the Scene is and what its minions represent, Eyes Set To Kill has come to be a diplomatic consequence of its evolution. I take part in none of that shit… The labeling, the sweat-caked tight pants, the feminine men, the mostly unintelligible screaming fits, so on and so forth. That being said, I take nothing from the bands or individuals that doesn’t deserve to be taken. “If you’re going to do something, do it well.” - Charles Manson. Greatness is greatness, and to riddle that shit off to some fad or Scene is an outrageous act of bullshit to any critic or reviewing human with even a drop of blood pumping thru their heart. Hearing the brand new thing as I’d never heard music before, and the importance of the place I was at that exact moment in my life as I first became aware of such a fresh breath as Eyes Set To Kill (Hammered for weeks on end, suicidal, and in various states of depression, sick with grief, needing air like a drowning man, and in a room with only a mattress, laptop, a mini fridge full of cheap booze, condom wrappers, and scattered whore‘s numbers on the stained carpet...) was all some filthy cosmic joke that eventually went to work in my favor. I went to buy their first official release (forgoing When Silence Is Broken, The Night Is Torn with original vocalist Lindsey Vogt) Reach, and for no less than weeks on end, jammed incredibly hard to every amazing track on the album, to include the epic Darling as well as solid tracks like Only Holding On, Liar In The Glass, and Young Blood Spills Tonight. Reach is an evolution of sound from beginning to end, a progression of which I now know that Eyes Set To Kill will unfortunately never receive the credit deserved for such an amazing album. Following Reach and released in June of 2009 was The World Outside… An incredible album on par with Reach in every facet of the band’s sound. The world of Eyes Set To Kill grew darker and heavier with the time in between the two, bringing to fruition such groundbreaking tracks as Deadly Weapons with Craig Mabbit of Escape The Fate, The World Outside, Risen, and the all-too-somber Come Home. With The World Outside, Eyes Set To Kill began to receive escapades of much-deserved recognition, but it still wasn‘t enough for such a monumental group. It wasn’t until the release of their newest phenomenon Broken Frames, that the band has finally erupted from a third stage name mention to being known as the goddamn epic force that they are… I am not Objective when Eyes Set To Kill is the subject. They run thru my blood like the bands of my youth… A thickness that bleeds intensity, and under no circumstances would I have given them anything but my absolute best; a fucking triumph of sound that literally may have saved my life, but at the least, showed me that great change can still come in Metal. Just a year after the release of The World Outside, and with Brandon Anderson no longer with the band due to some throat concerns, and Cisko Miranda now in the essential Screamer position, Eyes Set To Kill released their heaviest and most varied album to date, Broken Frames. The album ranges from the surreal with Ryan and Let Me In to heavily complex and beautiful with The Listening and Escape. Broken Frames has underlining tones of maturity and a larger resonance than Eyes Set To Kill’s previous efforts… The absolute precision of instrumentation has evolved drastically… The straightforward sense of drive from beginning to end of every track has more fortitude than they‘ve ever possessed… They’ve grown some primal urge of “Get The Fuck Outta’ My Face!” (GTFOMF!) as if they’ve been in a static phase for far too long and about to break down and out with a murderous takeover all their own, and Broken Frames is just that first step! Solid from first to last and just as varied as the tide. Every emotion is touched in some way and at some point on the album. Alexia’s estranged vocal diameters coupled with Cisko’s sense of brutality when needed, but never overbearing mark a high water mark for the band. Everything fits. Everything is in place. As opposed to the usual and at times sickening need to downgrade every musical achievement to a Frankenstein-like structure, I’d like not to break Broken Frames into a thousand dissected shards. They are the eclectic sound of today’s Metal youth, most notably those that dig the Scene Sound for whatever that has come to mean because it means shit to me. They possess an incredible technicality of groove, sexiness, dirty breakdowns, a brand new bass foundation - which has been fought with honor and perfected by the beautiful Anissa Rodriguez - of heaviness, a rare elegance brought by a perfect mix of characters and true grit, and an honest sound like no other. A review dedicated to my brothers Jermyy Livingston Burgundy and Jonathyn Death Face for helping me to maintain some semblance of sanity, if only to find the rest in Arizona. Fans of Eyes Set To Kill may dig on some Bring Me The Horizon, Escape The Fate, In This Moment, Bullet For My Valentine, Alesana, Black Veil Brides’ We Stitch These Wounds, We Are The Ocean, Sky Eats Airplane, and The Word Alive.
im all for screaming and all, hell i even listen to some grindcore, i love death core. but this band would sound sooooo much better without the crappy screaming from that guy. sorryy man but your screaming is no good. just a little constructive criticism
I find the contrast of the screaming and the clean vocals is what makes the song, not what ruins it. If they honestly cared about having hit songs, don't you think that they wouldn't have the screaming in the first place.
I remember seeing this music video on time Warner’s music video section, I was obsessed with this song I was trying to get a yellow flannel like what the guy wearing plus I thought the girl singing was hot af. This song still slaps in 2019

The guys who still listen to this in 2020 are the real fans !!
This song still kicks ass. And the female vocalist is amazing in that chorus :) Perfect amount of vocal distortion & emotion
2018 anyone? Alexia recently replied to me on Instagram she's and of coursed i fangirled so hard. Let's continue to support her and the band guys! 🤘
Love the setup. Gruff, male screaming/growling vocals and smooth, female clean vocals. Nicely done.
I’m still listening to this in 2019..and never get sick of this!
When all is said and done
Where will you be
You'll be staring right back
Right back at me
Never, never talk back to me
Quiver at the sound
That we scream.
Never been a fan of goodbyes
You know that
I'd rather leave you here to die
You know that.
And when you say my name
You get the best of me
I feel, I can feel.
You're bitter
You can't get over me
Deliver
Her body back to sea.
Won't let you be the death of me
You know that before it's over you will see
The waves crash.
And when you say my name
You get the best of me
I feel, I can feel
You won't be leaving anytime soon
You're sewn into my veins
I'm left with all the memories
Behind the broken frames.
Far away, far away
I can see your face
Out of flames you fly
Out of broken frames
Silence words you cry
Left to wonder why I'm waiting.
And when you say my name
You get the best of me
I feel, I can feel
You won't be leaving anytime soon
You're sewn into my veins
I'm left with all the memories
Behind the broken frames.
And when you say my name
You get the best of me
I feel, I can feel
You won't be leaving anytime soon
You're sewn into my veins
I'm left with all the memories
Behind the broken frames.
Behind the broken frames
You're sew into my veins.

What
i listened to their top rated songs. i like the screams and the girl's vocal. but there is just something that is lacking. the rhythm maybe. not so catchy
good, they aren't going to be just another mainstream band :P
I think it is how loud their song should be... but it's not. My volume is completely up and this is.... disappointing for listening to this band for the first time. Next band....
Theyre like the female version of Alesana.
HoodyT1991 I just saw them with Alesana
Sorting thru hundreds of older reviews I wrote, putting together a compendium... This was one of my favorites.
For CWG - Eyes Set To Kill - Broken Frames - August, 2010
A preface of all things: Eyes Set To Kill came into my life in the early months of 2009 by some chance technological encounter. +Josh Baker the "new" album goes to that
it fit the best with them, imo
Amen... their old screamer suited way better.
his scream suits very much with this sound .
lol "constructive"? saying something is bad and not explain makes sense, right?
I can listen to this song over and over... and over!
EYES SET TO KILL: one of my favorite bands that envolve screamo and singing, they are awsome.
I have watched them live on puerto Vallarta Mexico :3 they're just awesome! I can't still believe it! Haha I love them..
2021, remeber the good stuff
2020 and recently found myself BACK - BEHIND THOSE BROKEN FRAMES!!!
I find the contrast of the screaming and the clean vocals is what makes the song, not what ruins it. If they honestly cared about having hit songs, don't you think that they wouldn't have the screaming in the first place.
Been looking for this for 10 years
I like the chorus, been a long time since I last checked out this kind of music.
Why is there even a dislike button, either you like it or walk away no one cares for your opinion. They're really good.
I love this song and I find the screaming really adds to it!
The first song they played live at a concert, the first song i heard until i fell in love with their music
I remember when this album came out. I think I enjoy it now. Super enjoyable!
woah! goosebump when she start to sing! love you!!!!!!!!!
2022 and still here 💪
Oh, I remember that song!
I would love too meet them. Amazing music.. the vocals are what has me hooked.
I remember seeing this music video on time Warner’s music video section, I was obsessed with this song I was trying to get a yellow flannel like what the guy wearing plus I thought the girl singing was hot af. This song still slaps in 2019
i remenbered the name of this band after 6 years... can't believe it
2023 and still going
😂
