@@tanvirshaikh7043 Why would EVERY mechanic who knows what he/she is doing insist that it be not left hanging by the hydraulic line? There are enough videos on UA-cam you can refer to, or ask any mechanic worth his/her salt. The hydraulic line may look robust enough to hold the calliper's weight but it is likely to spring a leak at the joint. The brake lines are not designed to take longitudinal stress that way.

This is a stupid idea if,, rack repair is the main problem. Steering rack and pinion can be remove and repaired without removing the unecessary parts.
