Doesn't make sense, man, these are fanfiction tropes.
They'd never banish their greatest potential military asset, especially after the massacre of their strongest clan. At most he'd be jailed temporarily, but Danzo's mind could likely be scanned by a Yamanaka during the autopsy and self defense would be easily provable(especially with numerous Sharingan and Wood release imbedded in his corpse).
