These would've been fun as a 20-25 buck item, meaning you can't expect much of it. Fun for someone looking for some random slabs, maybe their first one, but this feels like a company that wants to make 25 bucks profit for 20 dollar items.
If they made it a $20-25 item, then they would make no profit. 🤣
@SoLiX I disagree, no one is chomping at the bit to buy 90% of those slabs/lightly played cards/chilling reign booster packs at market price. If they didn't throw these in "mystery" packs they'd be sitting on most of this product for years. Most honest sellers would hope to get $20 ea. on this unwanted bulk, maybe even settle for less just to move off of it. Even at 25 would be no go for me. Your just paying market price for other people's undesirables.

Mystery means you don't know what the outcome is but in this case, the people who make those junk mystery packs know exactly what they are doing.... selling their garbage. 🤔🤔

With a lot of your viewers being younger I think its awesome you use your platform to expose them to the idea that these mystery packs/bundles have a high likelihood to be a scam. Most of his revenue comes from the content he creates, not the Pokémon cards that he sells.

Sadly most mystery boxes are horrible. But there are a few diamonds in the rough. I did find a good PSA graded mystery box on ebay. It cost $30-$40 but you will at least get around $50 value
Don't do it. Buy the card you want no mystery stuff.

I would say it's the opposite of trustworthy. Putting a random 15 value on different cards, based on the cheapest eBay listing in the world is a way to manipulate the market and get sympathy and drama views and support. How both a modern 0.5 dollar card and a ultra 8 dollar card worth 15 graded, especially when the grading itself costs more than 25 per card for most people around the globe?
This is why grading companies are charging so much right now. These companies doing mystery boxes submit literally anything and back everything up.
Some literal last pack luck to even come close to breaking even 🤣 couldn't stop chuckling throughout that, thanks for taking the hit to show us everything. It just shows me there's potentially deals to be had for graded cards to add to my collection 😍 Love the content Rev, can't wait for the next video 🙌🏻

Thanks for biting the bullet and exposing these shitty mysterybox practices, imo these boxes should generally have about the value of the contents with some occasionally have a bit more or less value, not hosing customers with thier extra trash and doubling thier money

Thanks for opening those. There are so many Pokemon scams on eBay these days. You really have to be careful what you buy - to avoid being scammed.
These types of custom products are almost ALWAYS a waste to buy to begin with
there's no way some person would chuck in a 200% profit card/product/pack in a very cheap product
it's mostly just bulk junk or cheaply found junk just to make it sound as enticing as possible
its badly worded but you get the idea

Thanks for taking the hit on this one. I was looking into these just the other day and got cold feet. Luckily I did because 13/15 of those cards should’ve never been graded. The damaged cards are pretty scummy if you ask me lol and of course it’s either Chilling Reign or Battle Styles… like at least throw in a Evolving Skies, Crimson Invasion, or heck even a Steam Siege.
I gotta say I had been eye balling these too, and after seeing this video they are brutal. Thanks for taking the hit so we all know these are so rough.
Gold standard grading is a german grading service, but I am a bit confused, usually they have gold labels and logo looks different, when you look up gold standard grading on eBay 🙈😅🤔

As much as I love you and your content pokerev. You and other big UA-camrs are driving the prices up on mystery boxes. After you did the iconic mystery boxes people started charging even more. Ive seen people post in description as seen on pokerev latest vid. They just came out with new 2 pack mystery box from Walgreens in blue or green box edition and those are already going for 60 on eBay. So sad people are buying these up and selling them for 4 times the amount . I can never find for myself n refuse to pay that . Would rather pay for an older pack. Still love you though rev
I understand the appeal but they just aren’t worth it for normal consumers anyways. You’re better off not getting the mystery stuff
@@thefirstguyjaek255 agreed if I could get them for what they originally go for in store it wouldn't be bad. But they're made in such a limited amount and pokemon company has nothing to do with them so the consumer market determines price and I guess people are willing to pay

The problem with these is they never ever let you get a win where you end up with $100 value in a $40-50 box. They literally just send you their cheap junk and think they're gonna retain you as a customer. If they threw you a bone once in a while, people would actually return even if they lost most of the time like any other lotto ticket type mystery box.
Could be fake slabs potentially fake cards in them as well ,weighed packs and inexpensive singles anyways the fact you saved us from buying these is invaluable thank you poke revvvv!!! Much love bruh

I feel like they have the super rare in stock somewhere, and as people buy them, they refresh the number of packs to keep the odds the same. Meaning, they can legit have the shadowless cards in the mystery set, but the set is updated quarterly to keep quantities up.

This is exactly what I always worry about when it comes to "mystery" packs. It doesn't make sense for the guy selling it to knowingly give away money.

Getting back $20 in value kind of makes sense. The company has to buy the packaging, possibly pay to have the graded and they still need to make a profit so maybe they are making $15ish per mystery pack and selling them for $40 and making $15 - 20 profit. Most companies do a X2 mark up whatever various items so the value sucks but makes sense.

The only reverse holo from Vivid Voltage that's worth grading would be the Charizard reverse holo from Vivid Voltage I guess. Other sets I don't know out of my head. But I guess there are some holo rares that could be worth grading. But reverses not so much I suppose. 😅
You pretty much bought very fancy drink coasters hahaha! That's what I would use those slabs for!!
