Warriors are outstanding machines. We had one that we bought new in 1989 and it ran flawless until it was hit by a sandrail in 1997. We JB welded the case replaced the swingarm and off it went again for another 4years until we sold it. Great find Joe I love these bikes.
Cleaning the carb would always be the first thing i would do
Carb cleaning can wait until bike or quad is clean cuz if any of that dirt gets in the carb you scrood
He bypassed the carb by going directly to the spark plug opening. I have never done this nor seen anyone else do this. I always pour fuel through the intake valves to bypass the carb. These days with ethanol the carbs and gas tank are always a mess plus when you add time and years of neglect. Battery connection also always come loose so that is always high on the list.
The one way starter clutch bearing is shot...
I hope he reads this. It's so obvious theres a starter issue.. it sounds horrible cranking
@@mxbeanz1206 ive been working on atvs for 20yrs. I can tell just by how its cranking that the starter clutch bearing is slipping. Why it doesnt fully crank over fast enough
@@cimotorsports-atv mine was wayyyyy worse it would slip for like 4 seconds then grab once then slip again then she gave out eventually it would just slip
Wow I'm excited for this project 1996 warrior 350 that's one of my favorite color plastics for that machine 👍
nice tires on this one too 🤟🤙
Just broke a ramp that’s worth more than the quad... i was sooo waiting for a f..................k😂
This is the comment I was looking for 😂 he didn't even say anything not even a reaction 😂
Good luck, hopefully it something simple or soon enough you’ll be adjusting valves, doing dumb things like oil pump, stator, intake boot, had a mint 99 that ran amazing but had some weird quirks that 3 experienced owners could never seem to be figured out even after rebuilds. Wiring is funky on them sometimes too check your neutral and parking brake wiring. If you have any questions on where to start if it’s just giving you weird results I may be able to shed some input!
Ps that’s my favorite warrior color scheme ever, my 99 was all red with gold rims, decent.
Step one pressure wash step two drain all gas out of the machine step three try for spark step four clean carb step five try to get it to run the rest is water under the bridge
uh didn’t he say there was no gas in it and then tries to fire it 5 minutes later?
Def the most reliable engine ever assembled.
Loved the videos don’t let people tell you otherwise! Great job always want to be like you!!! 👍🏻
You didn’t check for fuel and didn’t clean carb
I ♥️ the measuring cup and straw used for adding half a drop of gas into the cylinder!!👍😂😂 spray wd40 everywhere it should start after that!!🤕
I love warriors. And i WATCH ALL YOUR VIDEOS. I just rebuilt my 35o warrior all thanks to you. So thankyouuuuuuu
You are a very optimistic person lol. $400 a great deal but all I see is trash. Cant wait to see the transformation though honestly. I bought a perfect running 07 KX250F for $629 lol. Such a odd price I know but my haggle game is insane. I plan to do future rebuilds as long as this one goes as planned
He likes his worriers lol
@@purplehayze420 Not only was your grammar correction unrequested annoying, it's also about a year late.
@@temporalnacho2606 and did I ask for your feedback see every these days get Nothing but butt hurt over little stuff pathetic
@@temporalnacho2606 you make it sound like a big deal lmao
I've owned 2 warriors an 89 and 95 loved them,had them for a couple years but sold them(kind of wish I kept one)and upgraded to a 2019 Raptor 700r
Did he clean the carb? This dude really cleaned it the exterior before the interior first thing to do check spark, gas and clean the carb it cant run if the jets are clogged
Power wash in the side yard would save you a lot of time. The Velcro was probably from 1 piece, over the tank, saddle bag. Velcro would keep bags from flopping around and still allow you to remove bags easily if needed. Your next project should be a small work bench 3'x2' and waist height. Possibly even on wheels to move it around. This way you aren't working on the ground. You'll really appreciate it when you are working on carbs and small items. Hope you get it running.
that ramp has been bent up since the quadzilla. heat gun will fix it, and the carb failing that get the wd40 on it
Well I like it better than the last one. Good luck
I love watching your channel and how conservative you and explain as you go thru each project but on this one first step directly to the car wash would have saved hours . love your channel .
You actually think grease fixes loose bushings on your a arms? Wrong
stabbing that thumb throttle while you were trying to start it was really triggering my OCD. All I could think was "please please stop doing that for the love of god." I never had to touch the throttle on my warrior, pull the choke, hit the button, let her rip.
Here's a tip for the cleaning up oxidized plastic wash them down and let dry spray them with nonstick cooking spray let it sit for about 20 min and then wet sand wipe them down done i came up with the trick and it looks factory and cleaning up after a ride is easy and the finish last for years
It would save you a lot of time if you cleaned the carb first. Then you know it’s getting fuel. Or see if it hits off starting fluid or carb cleaner. Function is more important than looks. Still in a lot better of shape than the first warrior project
I put a cone filter on ours Joe, made a huge difference. Kept original airbox but leaving the cone on. Easy yo clean.
Love your videos! Have you thought of doing a honda atc 185s-200s-200x- or 200es build? I would love to see you build one! They're super easy, to work on and dead reliable. Plus they're really cheap
to bump start a high compressed bike you put it in 4th and push it will turn over
2vintage I have a Honda 300ex the starter was gone and didn’t have the money to buy a starter so I had to bump it for 1 yr and my bike never started in first it would never turn over it had to be 3rd or above that’s all I know about bump starting
Love the videos bro
Swapped out gold wheels for a set of douglas low pro's. Put some hole shot racer tires on all 4 looks pretty sick, just rides a bit low, warrior thing. Great vid@
By the way, messing with the throttle sometimes makes it not start because when i had my four wheeler when i applied throttle it wouldn't start
Why does it sound like the battery wants to die every time when you start it..?? It happened on your other warrior too mine doesn’t do that???
But you didn't let it warm up...Bro!
I will get mine on friday and im so hyped up from your Videos. I will drive 7h (one way) to get it 😂
Yea I like that one old school nice vid bro
U otta pressure wash the whole thing and try to get all of the gunk off... I think it would turn out pretty nice
My moto 4 would crank forever, just make sure the jets are clear
Spray some carb cleaner or easy start down the air boot if it goes to start you know the jets in the carb are probably blocked. And fuel isnt reaching the combustion chamber. If it dont, do a compression test. Hope ya get it working!
Disconnect carb, squirt a bit of gas directly into the spark plug hole and get it to burp off.
This will give you a lot of information.
Here's a tip to find the year. I'm not 100% sure but if quad VINs are like car VINs the 10th digit will indicate the year.
You did put gas in it right?
Did you fix all those vehicles your self if u did then dang I'm your biggest fan
Do a 400ex I got one for 690 06 runs drives road it all day you can find some good deals
Lol on the way home he said lights worked got home let’s see if the lights work yeah lights work that’s good lol
Great work keep up the good vids
Banshee running on one cylinder "OH BABYYYYYYYY THIS IS FAST" wont touch the cr lmfao. Little nicky you are a funky dude. That tri zinger is more your style.
The reverse lever wasn’t fully engaged in forward
I like the spidertracs on the tears cool tires you don’t see them much anymore
I love 350 worriers there cool quads good video
You flooded the cylinder with gas then expect it to start 😂😂
I’m just here for the comments 🍿
FYI instead of the shaft shifter you can use a yz250 2 stroke direct shifter
Why would you use a flat head screwdriver to clean off all the oil on your frame
Starter is not turning motor over fast enough it’s to weak.
The one way bearing on the starter clutch is going Joe you definitely need a new one but reading the comments you obviously know that now... and if you get another machine dude check out a Honda 300EX they are probably the ultimate Trail machine or an lt230
I got one do 400 in way better condition it just smokes a lot what can I do?
Reverse lever always get stuck on those and th3 crankcase is usually Beat!
Oh yeah the battery pack works amazing 😅😅😅
The decompression valve is only on 87
Normally u have to have the clutch pulled in on worries to even get them to turn over that's kinda wired??
No dought a bad starter clutch. Y olly could try once removed to clean it and hope its "build up" causing fault. Ive seen it broke a couple ways
Already knew it was ganna another Yamaha Warrior 350
Yes another one as soon as i buy one
Looking like it should clean up well!
Hey you forgot the nice rims it's sypposed to come with like you said in the begining
Im just going to buy a rm 80 1983 for 400€. 40h piston and crankshaft (They have been used for that time)
U need a battery jumper u need a lot of power to get it to crank over fast enough for it to start it up
The last time I met someone from Craigslist at night I bought a "blue" Stratocaster that turned to a purple in the daylight.
You could roll it off thats what I do with my four wheeler when I don't have a battery
Will get it off the truck and start digging into it 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣7:10
joe I hope you have to use to drill to start it like the last one that was funny as crap when it started keep the videos coming
I have a complete seat for th hat as well, n eeds a new cover but complete.
Sounds like the Woodruff Keys broken the one way bearing/ flywheel is spinning on the crank
Did u get this bad boy running? I am about to buy one for the same price.
It’s still not a 400ex... I’m gonna keep nothing you until you own one lol. Keep up the work though man
You'll get er running again.
Before I watch this yes ,it will.
A another Warrior 350 oh my God I didn't know you were going to get another one lol
I'm interested in lt500r quadracer had on your video
Not to be a little bitch but quadzilla is the name homie. The quadracer is the 250 2 stroke and the quad runner is the 4 stroke.
Just asking what do you guys & girls think about a Honda 2000 XR 80 R 4 Stroke Just would like to know your opinion? Thanks
No petrol in the tank you said so is that why it ain’t starting ?
I would stop at car wash on the way home with one that dirty saves time
You need spark, fuel, and compression. Not spark fuel and air, fuel is air and gas, when they mix that's how you get fuel
Sooo many people fail to realize rhese engines were ment to HAVE regular maintnaince including valve adjustment.
Good job
I miss my warrior. I've been looking for another one
Check compression, soounds limpy. Might have stuck valve.
New channel name. "Junkyard Buys"
Bud you need new ramps haha
I new it was a 96 but the looks I had the same machine there not bad quads
Where should I go to buy randown and non running bikes and quads for projects
what was that name of the channel you wanted use to look into was it mickymouse something???
Awesome vid love watching u on here first comment on your vid I'm 18 years old and i have a UA-cam channel #notificationsquad
How did you guys like the video? If you guys want to see more about the warrior I will be posting updates to my Instagram throughout the day: 2_vintage_ instagram.com/2_vintage_/
2vintage Ilm form Denmark
What’s up with the ratchet??
Love the video 👍 great machine glad you picked this one up 🤟🤙
Love the videos 2vintage keep them coming ive actually learned a few things after watching them thank you guys from down under
Hey joe I've had a few of those quads back when I was a kid, yamaha failed on something when it comes to start em, you can pull the side cover off and heat the magnotta and it will start very easy, but 1st you need a starter it's really not turning the engine over hard enough, and those older warriors like that 1 have to play with the choke and barely give it throttle
