Why Sundown? : • What happens at Sundown?

I think the hole intuitive thing in the beginning is supposed to be like once per combat
Yeah I don’t really seen an issue with the initiative mechanic for boons, especially when you can only do it once
Roll for initiative is actually very clear. When you begin combat everyone rolls initiative. When you pick up your dice to determine your order in the fight, you have the epic boon back.
Also I’m super surprised they actually buffed a lot of the epic boons. I thought they were going to downgrade them into the dirt.
"Look, man. I've got no beef with you. But I want to use Misty Step, so I'm going to punch you in the face."
I don't understand the issue with "until you roll initiative"
when your DM says "roll initiative" it refreshes
Now these are for 20th level?
Some interesting feats or boons for sure.
I think only artificer, cleric, fighter bloodhunter, and rogue will be the classes that are worth going all the way to 20 in. Maybe wizard but they do need another class for survivability.
I Have A Question Is The Pokémon Aerodactyl A Wyvern?
Is Irresistible Offence really that great? Currently there’s only a handful of creature that is resistant to magical bludgeoning, piercing, and slashing damage (the most common damage type for fighters). And at lv 20 i would assume you have magical weapons.
Initiative being rolled is really up to dm interpretation. I wait until a player or enemy attempts an attack, then they roll Initiative before the attack takes place
1:30 I wound just count it as a surprise round
Bringing back some 4e mechanics I see. Not opposed, it seems interesting.
Halfling + Epic boon of recovery = immortality out of combat
Damage while unconscious will still make you lose saving throws. That can come from traps, being under water, etc. Also, good ol' falling damage will still insta-kill you.
@@delightfulbanana well if you are a 11th level Way of long death monk, you can say no as long as you have Ki. Like as long as you have ki, nothing can kill you and only can reduce you to 1 hp.
How are any of these Epic Boons appropriate for level 20 characters? Wizards of the Coast has never figured out High level Character advancement.
Yup. It's really hard i guess. Also, not worth the trouble. Most Stories/challenges fall apart when you throw level 20 Spellcasters at them.
They might be classing a priest to mage
I think that abilities that are regenerated by rolling initiative should be instead regenerated automatically after so much time. Like once per minute, 10 minutes, or hour, depending on type of ability
It's probably time to change the title
Day 6 asking about pointy hat ;D
as usual warrior group gets shafted who else is surprised?
also once per initiative exists because onednd is meant to be more video gamey
