Seeing that it draws a maximum 45 amps, you might have mentioned how a Ham is supposed to connect it to power, e.g. which Anderson Powerpole socket and connectors should be purchased. I am surprised that the ARRL posted something this incomplete. What did you do: hold 10 gauge wires in place with your hand?
I've been looking for how I'm supposed to reliably attach power, especially in a vibrating vehicle. Mine doesn't look like that, but has some appendage that I'm not sure I'm supposed to take out. It has those awful elevator terminals with small screws to tighten, who besides Samlex thinks these are good connectors? Anyway, please comment if you have a good suggestion for power connection, since the manual is useless and I have yet to find anything on the internet about this subject.
Hello i have a old 440 amp that i had bought years ago on ebay , worked fine until last year or so , i msy have hit it with to much drive but my question is ... it looks exactly like the 2 meter version but the name is WEI Shiaung WS -130u , can you tell me if these are same insides or who can work on it cause i cant find no info on internet , thanks

Do anyone here has a HLA 305 and can do some measurements for me? I got mine used and the HF part works fine if I take out the microcontroller out of its socket. If it is in the system after a few seconds of transmitting the amplifier beeps and says "Error Power Filt" which corresponds to bad efficiency in the filters according to the manual. I took input and output power measurements which seem to be in the area you could expect from the manual. No filter gets uncomfortably warm. I would be interested in the voltage on pin 2 and 4 while transmitting and the corresponding input (pin 2) and output (pin 4) power. I would appreciate if anyone could help me out with this values so maybe I can find a foulty cap or resistor in the signal path to the microcontroller.
You like the color? Seriously? How about info like max SSB PEP with no distortion? Maybe something about it's harmonic suppression...

I thought this was a new amp ? Video says 5 years ago , if it don't do 400 watts pep on hf ain't spending crazy amount

A truly terrible review of what is actually a nice amp.
"Just great for QRP" ...pmsl..QRP in the USA is anything >500w ...almost drowned in my coffee
