FACTS.
As far as I'm aware, WWE does not own Metalingus. Edge just has to ask the band that made it, and they said yes. I don't think WWE gave any sort of "permission" so to speak. Also, I liked how Edge said that talent can come to HIM. It seems like CM Punk went out of his way to give people advice who never asked for it, which could explain why he rubbed people the wrong way. It's better for people to approach you because they want to rather than you forcing your way into their space.
Correct, Alter Bridge has said in prior interviews they’ve kept the rights to all their music. The only thing WWE owned was the “you think you know me” intro so AEW re-dubbed it to “you think you know him”.

He said already in the interview the right to use metalingus is the bands as its their song all he had to do was ask the band to use it in aew
Good to know Edge didnt actually randomly retire, but it is a lil sad seeing that Edge will more than likely just not retire in the wwe after everything nor being able to win the belt one last time sinxe he had to retire as chsmpion. Hope all goes well for him though in AEW!

He had a great comeback in WWE imo. He should've won at least one title again, but it was great seeing him work with Randy Orton again and obviously helping out the younger guys and the people he never faced like Finn and AJ and he had a great match with Sheamus to go out like he was still 25 years old.
Won a Royal Rumble, one of the few people to win from Number 1 too now. 4 WrestleMania matches with one more main event and a 3-1 record there and more amazing matches of course.
As a fan of WWE for more than 14 years and not liking AEW that much this really changed my perception and i got actually excited when i saw Adam in AEW so im actually starting to think that ill be AEW fan sooner or later and for WWE i still love it just feels like an empty hole year after with little excitement

I'll probably start only watching AEW for Edge if the booking is good throughout. My main problem with AEW is the booking. It's all over the place and they throw in way too many obscure wrestlers that only the most hardcore of fans know about. Hopefully Edge has some consistency with his booking.
Can we appreciate the fact that Edge's entrance before Metalingus started playing, the AEW production did a hella of a job with the Tarantino references like "Our feature presentation'" which is a gig from Tarantino's and Rodrigrez's Grindhouse and the Death Proof reference with Edge and the muscle car. Man, i don't know who came with the idea (most likely, Edge) but I absolutely LOVED IT!!!!!

WWE is my favorite since childhood. However, there are moments in AEW that truly are amazing. It’s okay to be a fan of both. I am excited to see Edge continue to wrestle and can’t wait to see what’s next.
Exactly 100 percent. Why are people so triggered over liking one company over another? I enjoy wrestling and for me AEW is more exciting to watch i like the high risk stuff if i want to watch a soap drama I watch WWE if I want wrestling I watch AEW

The fact that after over 4 years in the business AEW still relies on legends debuts (and not just from WWE) every PPV to boost ratings brings to light the reality that after 4 years they have not been able to make a single star. No one to really draw. It was fine in the first year, as they just started and they were building their brand, but after 4 years? It's still the same formula, every PPV.

Im not surprised at all. Had a feeling he was going to AEW. After his last WWE match with Sheamus he never announced after that he was going back to retirement. His WWE contract expired. Didn't think at all that he would re-sign with WWE. The fact that Christian is apart of AEW is another reason I had a feeling Adam was going to join AEW. Also in his AEW intro it says " you think you know him "

I still get goosebumps by rewatching edge making a huge debut last night, It makes sense that wwe had no other plans for him after he said his contract was gonna expire in September, so I love the fact that he is free to now do what he wants to do. This is such a game changer for AEW that can help change the landscape of the product.

So glad i got WrestleDream! It was a great PPV and another AEW memorable event! Edge's debut is undoubtedly the highlight of the show! Can't wait to see what they have in store for The Rated R Superstar and it's unreal that he still has Metalingus as his theme song!
i don't watch aew, i barely can keep up with wwe weekly shows, but i'm happy for edge, he's done everything in wwe, he gave us an amazing farewell tour and like you said, there's almost nothing else left for him to do in wwe, i wish christian came back to wwe and they both retired there, but if they can go out together in aew i'm all for it, they deserve to go out the way they want

Wrestling been the best it been in YEARS, whatever company you watch this is a massive W for us wrestling fans, people crossing over or going to independent promotions makes it all the more exciting.
This is what wrestling fans meant when they say competition is good for business. Having two big wrestling companies creates lots and lots of moments like Edge debut or AEW's own star Jade Cargill showing up on RAW. Imagine MJF at his peak right now switching over to WWE. It's gonna create buzz.

Their are many things for edge to do over at AEW. as someone said, it's very "healthy" to have a culture where a wrestler can move between brands and bring their stories to other company's. I don't know what would be available for Edge in wwe, though believe he would have made anything work, but for the most part I am excited for Adam, despite not watching since I do watch WWE more, and I don't have time for another brand to pay attention to.
