This has been the best video comparing two and four strokes that I have ever seen.
Congratulations and thsnk you very much, Keith!
I got very clear that two strokes are much better for me, since the main drawback is burnt oil pollution in lakes but I am not using boats in the lakes ever.
    This doesn't count on me.
The second drawback of two strokes is fuel efficiency. Of course two strokes are less efficient but I can't believe that four strokes are 2 or 3 times more efficient.
This doesn't count for me either, because the number of miles that I make every year is ridiculous. Any other expenses are much higher than the fuel burnt.
One ststue mile per gallon means that the engine must be very powerful, maybe a 200hp two stroke engine delivering 150hp on average because the boat is very fast and very heavy.
Same boat at same speed with a four stroke delivering 150hp on average may make 1.5 miles per gall9n but I cannot believe that it will ever make 2 or 3 miles.
I have measured one nutical mile per liter (around 4 statue miles per gallon) in a 21 foot boat with four people using a 130hp four stroke Volvo at an average speed of 18 knots (4000rpm).
Same light boat at same speed with a two stroke would be lighter and my estimate is that would make 3/4 of a nautical mile per liter, never 1/2 or 1/4 of a mile per liter.
I can't accept the 2 to 3 times ratio, but 1.5 times instead.
The third advantage you mentioned was that four strokes don't vibrate at idlle because they are smooth, which is very true and very nice.
On the other hand four strokes arw more harsh and make more noise than two strokes at planning speeds.
My conclusion is that two strokes are great for planning soeeds but shouldn't be run idling, while four strokes are fine for idling.
On the other hand we have important two stroke advantages.
    1.- No rusted engines.
2.- Less maintenence (never having to replace oil, nor oil filters).
3.- Lighter weight, which is important if there are only two persons on board and boat is light, like my Pursuit 2550 which weight is only 3000 pounds.
It's true that sooner or later everyone will have to buy a four strok, but I hope that I will never be forced to buy one.
