I'm nearly 50 years old, so it's safe to say I don't fall into this artists main demographic.
Don't care...I may not be a part of her generation, but I can recognize artistic beauty and pure talent when I hear it.
This girls soul is *intact*, and she is an absolute joy to listen to. I wish her well.

I agree with Vincent's comment, age is just a number. I am nearly 64 and absolutely adore Aurora and her music. Later this year Aurora will be doing a UK tour, and I am very much hoping to be able to go see her live.
Everyone has a home in her Queendom, regardless of anything.
When I saw her in concert there were people of all ages there. People who were likely in their 60s, parents with their children, and everything in between!
Aurora doesn't care about demographics in the sense of attending to a certain group of consumers with a view to maximize appeal and hence sell a product as profitably as possible. She's a pure artist in the sense that she creates art primarily to express what's inside her and to process things, and secondly to enable others to be helped/moved/uplifted/inspired/empowered. With a view to those people becoming a force for good in the world. She's a warrior of love leading a revolution of kindness, to help people and to fight injustice. Within this scheme of things, within her Queendom, all are welcome. She loves old people, as she has stated in several interviews. She loves young people too, and everything in between. Nobody listening to aurora needs to feel like they're gatecrashing or eavesdropping on what's going on. She is for everyone. Everyone is invited. Everyone is welcome.

The single version is like a victory cry: raising your voice in ferocity and joy and exultation. This version is more like relief at finally having a place to come home to. Neither is better than the other, but they're two sides of the same message of belonging. The single gives me the feeling of how hard we must work to carve out the queendom in a world that is so unforgiving of such places and the people that would live in it; this version is what happens after all the work is done, when we're aching and tired, but looking on in wonder at the beautiful home we've made. They shouldn't be pitted against one another, but work in harmony together.

Yeah, they are both great in their own right. And they have both been released to purchase as studio-versions. ;)
She likely released the other version as the original because second versions rarely get radio play and that one is more suited for it despite this one being better.

Thank you so much for this beautiful version. Both versions are great in their own right. My 9 year old daughter and me, will come next friday and see/hear you, at the Northside festival in Aarhus Denmark. And maybe we (with my oldest daughter too, she is 14) will come to Stavanger on the 29. August, and see you there also.
I wish i could have experienced you at the concert, inside the Nidaros Dome last year. But have seen the concert here on youtube instead. It was magnificent to watch/hear, and can only imagine how wonderful it would have been to have been there and experienced it, in person.
