"Welcome to the world of Pan Sweet Pan, the national musical instrument of Trinidad and Tobago," - excerpt from The Rhythm in Steel Documentary - SANCH VC 9302 - starring the late Brian Honoré aka The Midnight Robber. It is also an undisputed fact that SANCH possesses a legacy of "The Supreme Sound" of steelband recordings which needs protection (music & artwork) from merciless social media pirates, worldwide.

Yes! For sure T&T is the birth place of Pan, please, I see another ethnic group in your country putting his opinion of what is not his, this is the only innovative Musical Instrument created in the 20th Century and it was created by the Black Man no one else. The Petro company discarded those oil drums, and as always it's a Black of Trinidad who discovered the sound of this discarded oil drum and the rest is history. It's yours, the decendants of the former enslaved Blacks mostly kidnapped from out of Nigeria and no other group in Trinidad created or discovered this melodious instrument out of what was considered to be garbage. You have given this melodious instrument to the world, and do not let anybody try and claim it, because it is not of their creation. The Pan is an extension of those who were enslaved in Trinidad who basically were of the Yoruba from out of Nigeria, so give thanks to the Motherland for your creativity the only new Musical Instrument of the 20th Century. Give God all the glory. I love Trinidad I use to travel there and I have played in a Mas Band, I don't remember the name just now, but it was a large band. God bless you all. ❤

We must understand that the same pan has been electronically improved. Check out Japan, Switzerland, and more countries entry promoting the entertaining industry. VIP. is intellectual property protection, of these musical instruments. Must involve the young children in the manufacturing too. Skills, skills. Training is so vital. Hands on internship, including the actual making of items, is the survival of the industry, and youth entertainment . Maintain and sustain generational interest. Sure make mini pans, for the young ones, starting at kindergarten and up. Again make pans, and have them play the pans too. Add this to all educational programs. Music is a career. Of course must work on mindset too, as many parents view pan, as not a career. Recalled reading of a Trinidadian student, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida Sun Centinel Newspaper, who decades ago, went to a Mississippi University, did well, entertatained in USA **post graduation**. He pursued music, with pan, being his instrument, of choice. He followed notes** music on paper* too, taking pan, to another level. Why not. He himself remarked his parents disuaded him from doing just that too.

And yes enslaved africans, mudda father! because that was our reality, we didn’t come here to cut cane for wages, our ancestors were enslaved, and we their progeny still suffer the ills of slavery from being poor and landless. So phuque off with your nasty hateful comments, you are phat nanny!!

BTW that’s the only thing you took away from this whole documentary?? A whole wealth of information was divulged, but the race factor is the only thing that peeked your interest??
There’s a certain demographic in trinidad who are the only trinis that is keeping this nation back from moving forward in every way. In terms of unification, ending corruption, cleaning up the streets from criminality, bringing legislation in order to fix this place, and this demographic keep standing in the way of progress in this nation.
why allyuh doh leave this nation and seek asylum elsewhere, since allyuh hate this country so much, what is wrong wid allyuh?? Aye we sick ah allyuh and allyuh meddling ano!!
