Definitely an underrated Disney couple. I really liked Vixey. Its common for foxes & other animals to mate right away as soon as they find someone they want. I thought it was cute that she was counting baby birds & wanted some of her own as she was with Todd it showed that she wanted him to be her mate. Its a really touching movie. One of Disney’s good underrated animated films. Vixey one of the best underrated female characters
@@draccoonxcii1288 Burton normally does Halloween creations in movies like The Nightmare Before Christmas. I never would've imagined he'd create a character that gorgeous
Vixey is very underrated and overhated due to her being a "forced love interest" when in early concept art she was going to fight the bear with Tod and Tod did have a female mate in the original novel.
@@SpideyFan-onst Which one of the reasons why I would never ever want to see a book faithful film version remake of the Fox and the Hound. The novel is depressing as Schindler's List. Instead in my version of a remake I'd rather see both Tod and Vixey first meet each other as kids but they grow into equally strong characters fight the bear together, give Slade a proper karmic retribution and liberate Cooper from his crutches as he gets adopted by Tweed.
@squallrowlandson8028 my thoughts exactly. But then again, the novel was supposed to teach people about the consequences of hunting. Or at least I think that was what it was trying to teach us. It's been a while since I did research on the book.
@@SpideyFan-onst Sometimes I'd wish I lived in alternative universe were Daniel P Mannix never existed therefore there would be no The Fox and the Hound novel but consequently there would be no animated Disney version of the Fox and the Hound.
@squallrowlandson8028 I wouldn't say I wish he never existed, but I do sometimes wish he didn't make his book so dark and depressing. I'm the kind of guy that loves dark and depressing, but not when it comes to animals since I'm a huge animal lover.
I wish Tod will go back to his owner but he would bring vixey with him so that his owner could see her and be back together that would be amazing a make the film better🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊🦊👍😄😃
Brale That would be perfect for a live action remake here's the changes I want it to have Chief being nicer and getting to know Tod and Vixey have Tod and Vixey already know each other since in this version they would both be orphaned and adopted by Tweed. They would both meet Copper and become friends especially Chief. Amos Slade becoming nicer and saving Tod and Vixey from the bear and they all defeat the bear together and Tweed and everyone becomes friends and everyone is happy.
I can’t help but feel sympathetic for Tod when he enters depression and becomes heroic BSoD and gloomly after Widow Tweed releases him into the hunting preserve and leaves him and Copper disowns him as his friend for causing Chief’s injury, and Big Mama lucky helps Tod feel happy again by giving him a new friend to replace Copper, Vixey, who Tod forms a romance with and later marries. I also hate Copper for foolishly and stupidly blaming Tod for Chief’s injury when it in reality was Amos’s fault because he was the one who shouted at Chief to jump on the train bridge leading to his death, not Tod! Luckly, Copper realizes this and apologizes to Tod and reconciles his friendship with him at the end after Tod saves him and Amos from the bear and Copper redeems himself for his behavior by stopping Amos (Initially an ungrateful bastard towards Tod for saving him and Copper from the bear.) from shooting Tod while he was weak and gave his human owner the space to rethink his actions, have a heel realization and realize that Chief’s death was his own fault, not Tod’s, Tod saved him and Copper from the bear and he was being an ungrateful bastard, and realized how much damage his obsession with hunting animals especially foxes caused to his life and he misunderstood and was wrong about foxes, reforms and spares Tod and Tod and Copper part ways for good, Copper and Amos return to their home where Amos is healed by and reconciles with Widow Tweed and Tod and Vixey continue their peaceful life together in the woods.
In Disney’s Robin Hood (Animation), Robin told Marian she’ll have six. But what’s really curious is that Foxes are known to have only 3 to 5 babies. And that makes me wonder “Why 6?”
You think thats odd? In the german version of the movie at 3:10 they say "what a beautifull morning vixie I never felt this happy before " "it was really wonderfull" and gramaticly it wouldnt make sense if she means the morning. This with her voice basicly tells you "hey viewer we already went to work on getting our 6 cubs last night"
Vixey: _"Oh...I think six would be just right..."_
Her and Todd literally just met, and she already has plans. 😂
Animals don't wait. :)

Vixey is absolutely adorable. I don't know why she never appeared in the sequel and Tod and Copper were still young and still best friends
I mean look the second movie isn't canonical to the original story so it won't matter if she would be there or not
I think she's pretty.
Hard to believe she was animated by Tim Burton!

I love it when Disney adds things that only teens and adults can understand.

He actually had two mates and had kids with both of them in the novel. But sadly, both mates died along with the kids.

Vixey is so beautiful she reminds me of the girl squirrel from Sword in the Stone
The only difference is that she wasn’t too pushy like the female squirrel

No. The ambiguity and bittersweetness of the ending is more powerful.
