When I got the Holy Ghost in 82 I recorded out of thos world and weve got the power by Lavern Tripp and I love these Payne's newer stuff too.Brings back great memories.
A shame that the Conversation wasnt included :( My Mom used to play the original non stop. While she was Pentecostal and very involed in the church, I never have been to church since I was made to go when I was 17. I'm 51 now and still not saved, but hearing the Paynes brings me back to the good ol days. This world has finally flipped over on its head. I swear at times I hate that I'm still here.
The Paynes are retired as a singing group but founding member Mike Payne and his wife still travel as evangelists as far as I know. That was the case a few years ago. Thanks for checking it out!
Mike and Loreen pastor a church in North Ridgeville now. Cathedral of Life. Matter of fact, the whole crew got back together for a reunion concert there not long ago

Man. What memories this brings back. I was a teen when the Paynes were full swing. Always loved their distinct sound, and their great songs.
