Im an unemployed college accounting senior and in my free time I love watching Nima-Arkani Hamed give physics lectures LOL
It is nice to hear that I am not the only one who is not a physicist and Find the topic very intriguing, although there are many brilliant theorists, not all can convey or explain the topics in an engaging manner as I find with Nima Arkani Hamed or Kyle Cranmer
I don't have a doctorate in physics but Nima tells an interesting story about where physics is these days even if 95% of it is over my head. Good stuff.

This version of improved Standard Model is fascinating, though not yet 'absolutely complete'. Nima provides an interesting insight into 'fine tuning'. I wish, my grandson Jacob becomes a particle physicist and pursues the future of physics, outlined here.
I sense that if our Universe was ready to dump all its data and understanding, theories, etc., it would select Nima to receive its gift.
Shirley Mason it would become the highlight of yesterday’s discussion.
The only parts I get, are that the LHC isn’t offering any surprises, many smart people are working on esoteric questions, and Nima is talking about that “thing” we call the Universe: OUR Universe. He must be exhausted after these lectures. They are interesting and I’m fascinated, don’t really need to understand the bits.
I’m in the same boat, but I feel like these lectures help me a lot despite my lack of knowledge in the field. It mainly points me in the right direction to topics I want to learn more about in physics. It also gives me a sense of where physics is currently at and what are the major steps ahead that would progress our knowledge if we solved them. I’ll surely listen to this lecture some more times in the future when I understand more of the details and can fill in the gaps of my understanding. Even someone who knows nothing about physics could learn a thing or two from watching this lecture, or at least it would motivate them to learn more.

Come on everybody, show Nima some support. As I type this he has 3,621 views and only 39 'likes' and 1 'dislike.' That should read 3,620 'likes' and still only 1 'dislike'. The 1 'dislike' was probably a Christian who thinks that the universe is only 6,000 years old. If you watched this video, before you read any more comments please give him a 'like.'

Tbf I watch a ton of lectures and greatly enjoy them while still forgetting to like the video. And a lot of the views come from people who aren’t signed in to their account or don’t have one. I suspect that there’s a lot of silent appreciation here and the real number of people who enjoyed this lecture would be much higher if everyone was forced to like/dislike the video. I can’t prove it but that’s my guess.

I mean, hey, that'll be a fine descriptor if we (humans) ever build an object or device that is so intrinsically awesome and cool that people are forced to describe it as "being almost Arkani-Hamedly in nature". However, right now, nothing in our known observable universe currently qualifies - other than Nima himself. 😆

Nima's idea of amplituhedron is the closest insight we got to quantum field, which leads him to quantize space and time.
Usually indicates an adverb; maybe because of what I had been watching, but I did get a stand-up vibe from this lecture that's unusual in most particle physics lectures that have a "...nagging elephant in the room....", hierarchy problem, and "...nagging, niggling worries..." about finding particles either as candidates or in collisions. Always wondered about confronting stand-up audiences and lecture crowds with a combo of learning and laughing. Some podcasts do it, but mostly not at the same time. Being a native English speaker rules, almost everybody can talk to us.

Time does not exist as it is currently thought of. Everything that exists only exists because the energy from another higher dimension-aka Einsteins Aether, Dark Matter/Dark Energy-flows from there to here in order to sustain the physical existence in our universe. This flow rate of energy is regulated at a maximim peak directly tied to the speed of light. The occurrence of time is in actuality a side effect created as energy flows from the higher dimension into our universe to sustain a object(s) physical existence. This is also why gravity arises as poolsOf energy from the Aether flowing into our universe catch one another eventually forcing andrag and drift effect upon physical objects in our universe in which energy from the Aether sustains it. It is why Einsteins Theory of Relativity works but is nevertheless incorrect. His models are easier to conceptually visualize but when we look with our own eyes they dont ring true. Spacetime does not curve nor dip due to Unseen Gravity wells. Gravity is a tidal flow of energy akin to a 3 dimensional whirlpool of energy that flows from another dimension sustaining existence in our universe wherein a highly massive object or fast moving object will demand more energy from the aether to sustain its physical existence at which this flow is maxed in a ratio in proportion to the speed of light. Thus the heavier/faster a object(s) are the larger its energy demand is thus its expeirence of time is. So the more mass/velocity something has the slower its time occurs due to the limitation of energy trancer from Einsteins Aether to this Universe. The more Mass/Velocity something has will also result in heavier tidal flow 3d whirlpools in the Aether thus what we see as gravity in our universe. This is the correct model.
Sounds unfalsifiable. Can you cut off these supposed flows and observe whether an object winks out of existence?
Now develop a consistent mathematical model and write a paper. Maybe spend your efforts on that instead of looking dumb on UA-cam comments. Best of luck, I look forward to reading your paper on arXiv.
