To be honest I don’t recommend that CPU for anything really. If you are looking for the best current midrange gaming that’s 7600 or 5600. If you are looking for the best current midrange production that’s 13600k, 12600k, or 12400.

Nice looking case. Seeing the spaghetti cables on the back made me reconsider a new build HA HA. I feel the same way as Jason.....who cares what the cabling looks like in the back.
Finally, i've been wondering for decades why there aren't more boards with connectors on the back. Now at least two companies are getting into it. I mean, pick your base locations for everything, have them all be on the front or back, then it won't matter which one your board uses, you can even mix and match if for some reason that is a benefit to your motherboard layout or whatever, cases can keep it into account, and you're done, every board should fit every case (with the same size and base layout like mATX, ATX, ITX etc.of course). Cables can also almosty sure be shorter. Hell, i would even like plug in boards, as in you plug in your motherboard into the case, that has an internal PCB, plug in your PSU, with maybe some small cables, and a case builder might even make some spots for SATA drives etc in the case, plug in your mobo, plug in 4 SATA drives on the back, they're connected. All you need really is again basic spots for all your base needs and the rest you can play around with. Of ccourse a standardized PSU layout would also help, but that may be a bit too much, but hey, you can probably use a lot more smaller cables with even a max length of like 10cm and you're done, less cable clutter.
Its interesting to see how much aesthetics becomes a factor in pc building. 20 years ago pretty much only the case represented your pc. A raccoon could live inside and no one would have cared. Now its down to the last cable. For me, as kind of a oldschool builder, I prefer practicality and functionality above all. But it was a big step into the "new" trends getting a Fractal torrent with a glass side, RGB RAMs and the shiny 7900xtx nitro+..Some things change slowly but when practicality and aesthetics (and price) realign Im in.
Jason, first off hats off to you and Sarah again putting together another great video! Also the cat help was nice too! I like the build very much, it looks sleek. Wish MSI would of sent you a White GPU though then it would of been perfect! My white 7900XTX Taichi would fit that build nicely!!!! As far as the GPU connection, I think the power cable looks fine there. With that being said, ASUS has already pulled their shenanigans on the whole GPU power to MB. You were exactly right about the compatibility issue you can ruin into if you want to upgrade or sell/trade the ASUS GPU. Question, how did you make out with the cable management in the back? Was it much of a hassle as it seemed it could of been? All in all, great job again and very informational. Stay well!!!!!
Hi GD! Thanks for sharing! You're right a white GPU would also look great here. I should have done a time lapse on the back as I finished. The trick was identifying the order in which I needed to do the cabe management so as not to wall stuff off lol. Once that became clear it felt a bit like working in a mini itx build, tighter than normal but doable with some elbow grease.
TBH, $450-ish for Case/Mobo/PS is less than I would have guessed. I hope this concept gains some traction in the marketplace... And that someone works on a solution for fans. TBH, I've never been less challenged by mobo cables than I have the rats nest associated with fans. At least ARGB hubs make it easier to hide the mess in a central location...
You sometimes mention downvoltage (or something like that) when overclocking. Why is it lower than the standard voltage. Back in the day we used to increase it, like from 1.5v to 1.55v or 1.6v when we increase the clockspeed, sort of helped to compensate for the power demand and heating issued maybe. Why lower now?
Chip production is better is the simple answer. A combination of smaller dies, so less opportunities for flaws and improved processes mean more chips will be better and more efficient than the bare minimum spec. Undervolting was used in the olden days to but less frequently because fewer chips could benefit.
Voltage is what provides stability, but also where the heat comes from. So if overclocking, for instance, you increase voltage to run stable at the higher clocks. These days hardware manufacturers often use much higher voltage because that means fewer of their products will be unstable (often resulting in a returned product). So it is possible to undervolt GPUs & CPUs so that you run them at the same clock speed and just reduce the operating voltage a bit to reduce the heat load. But that can also lead to instability, so the trick is to only reduce voltage enough to reduce heat, but not introduce instability.
If the PC is going to have all the cables in the back, they should have more room for the cables like in my Corsair 5000D Lisa is getting into it more & more. Only one shot of her brother & Lisa asleep on the window sill That build would look nice with the power cable for the GPU being RGB What about a white GPU & its power cable & run rotating RGB fan lighting?
The concept is alright and i can foresee it being better but right now it seems very counterintuitive with cable management. Most decent cases will only have the 24pin and gpu power cables actually showing which is more than fine. Front panel wires are hit or miss but are usually barely noticeable. I feel like we are doing hella more work for minimal cable hiding improvements. We need more space in the back since now all the extra length needs to be there(dual chamber cases would be nice for this), and even in the end the gpu power cable negates the whole purpose unless you get the specific gpu models like you mentioned. Not really a fan of it especially if we have to pay more for this "features" No hate towards you btw, in fact thanks for this video on showing us this stuff big fan of you and your informative videos. Just not really impressed with this right now.
Hi, love your videos! I am doing a similar build but with a new THERMALTAKE TOWER 600 case. My issue is the mounting of the MB area seems to be missing the cutouts on one side where there's a bunch of pinouts that are not accessible and could possibly short the MB and other hardware! Their website says that the case is compatible with back connect series MB's. I don't know what I'm not seeing via the riser mounts but no info in the Manual for back connect series MB! I might have to buy a different MB to work with this case which I didn't want to do, was looking forward to using this MB. All info will be appreciated, thanks!
Huh, I’m actually putting that same CPU in my dream build. Ryzen 7 7800x3D and Sapphire Tech Nitro+ RX 7900 XTX. I really need to focus on that build now. As my laptop I ran every day for 3 year is gone now. If I could get even an inexpensive 3050 prebuilt from someone like NZXT, that would make it less of an urgency. Right now, outside of my PS3 and Series X that constantly has World of Warships Legends crash, I’m probably gonna find other things to do. As I’m not much of a console gamer anymore. I spent much more time on PC games than console. In fact, my Series X at one point hadn’t been turned on in almost 2 months. It was only turned on to watch the 4k Blu-ray of Oppenheimer when it was delivered. Because I hardly play on Xbox anymore, I figured it would be better just to sell it and get a dedicated Panasonic DP-UB820 4k Blu-ray player.
Just keep an eye here for deals. He is excellent at finding sales and helping you find the parts you need to get your build optimized. That's how I built my first pc. Buying one piece at a time is okay, but if you need to rma something, it makes it more urgent. If anything, I've noticed in the summer(June-August)sales fire up on many parts.
I’m building a similar system to transition to PC gaming with the help of the PC builder videos as I’ve become more into game preservation. I feel like my build wouldn’t make him go ‘ay yai yai yai yai’
Your Amazon links aren't working for me, your newegg link isn't either (I am in the UK so I am being redirected). Can you please provide UK links or a part list as I really want to do this build.
Noticed your personal pc build in the background. Not sure this new "zero cable" version is any cleaner...but, hey, it's always fun watching you build.
FYI the Asus GPU that has the power connection at the bottom that plugs into the Motherboard does NOT pull power from the Motherboard, you have to plug the GPU power cable into the back of the Motherboard.
My opinion Motherboard brands should start making cutouts to their motherboard boxes so we can lay down motherboard on top of the box 🤣🤣🤣 Honestly nice clean build but personally i would reccomend white 4070 TI Super i have same model but 4070 ( every componenet is black in mine build so quiet opposite your build 🤣 ) and it's sick 🥶
Love the look, but would be hating life dealing with the cables on the back. True cable-less would be 100% power draw through the motherboard, but doubt that'll be any time soon.
I do cable management and try to make my build as clean as possible. But it's more for my own satisfaction. My computer goes under my desk and you can barely see it. Also no one is going in my office to check out my PC. I'd rather have more inexpensive parts then over engineered parts that are expensive because they are cable free.
I love the part where u just assume that i know what cables to connect where to make everything turn on. basically skipped the only hard part lol. 9:49 bro what about the rest fans etc.
I was in a workplace accident last year. I am getting my insurance money next month. They kinda wait a year with the disability payout to determine if it's permanent or not. Might get somewhere around 40k for my eye. Not sure how much for my brain damage. Kinda interested in building a completely new computer and project zero looks like a fun one but I don't like glass panels.
I think these MB's could be the new "std" if they just lower the cost of the MB. For me I love the look of the cable connectors behind the MB! Awesome looking PC!!
Hi contacting you for your guidance. I want to upgrade my PC. Current specs are: motherboard: MSI B550-A CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X RAM 16 GB GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 ti planning to upgrade to: Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D RAM:32GB GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will remain the same so the budget for it :) Do you think it's a good idea to upgrade them I mostly do gaming i am looking forward to your suggestions. Thanks in advance.

If only I could have done this for my NAS build (repurposed 7700k office PC). 6 hard drives, a SAS HBA, and an RX580. In a microATX case. The cable management is a disaster... and I still have to install a couple more fans! Edit - I have an idea to improve it, but it'll be a total pain...
what? that case has nowhere near enough space in the back for the cables WTH?! they had to make it deeper in the back, that's not acceptable! great job pulling it off!
It was a little trickier than it needed to be for sure. Hopefully they will keep working on that. But I did get there in the end without needing to drill holes or anything (;
I have nodesire to build a computer without the cables. I could see where it might be a desireable thing, if I was wanting to implement an Nvidea SINCE they use those new FIRE STARTER CABLES. No Thank You!

@@PCBuilderChannel if used this cpu with msi b760 gaming plus wifi ddr5 for 3d animation learning so this is mid range pc build for that I also consider i5 14500 cpu with 4060 ti for mid range because of tight budget what you say if you suggest me for mid range pc build for 3d animation learning please suggest all comments which I have to consider and I choose benq pd2705q monitor for early using and when I make money to earn then I build power full pc one day like i7 and i9 cpu with 4070 or 4080 GPU but write now I can't do to my tight budget
@@PCBuilderChannel hey sir please reply
🎯This is the video I have been waiting on...

Mr Bear approves this message!
If I can get the
AMD Ryzen™ 7 5700X for the same price should I get that instead? Or could this cause some kind of a bottle neck?
I would be using a 4060
I don’t recommend the 4060 (see our Best GPU for Gaming 2024 video for more) but if that’s what you’re going with save money and go 5600. 5700 won’t give you any boost with that GPU
4070tis slim should be white version.
What do you think about Ryzen 5 7600 + RX 7900XT to play Cod, Warzone 3?
That's a good Gaming combo so I assume it will be good with those games.
Amazing combo! That’s what I have in my personal gaming pc
@@PCBuilderChannel thanks a lot. I’m from Brazil and have I seen your videos frequently and helps so much. Keep going!!
This cool I whis for a pc😢
It came together really nice!
Jason can you review the new deepcool Aio. The Mystique 360 with lcd. Ty
Looks amazing. Deepcool is sending one over to us and we'll use it in a build sometime in the future. We saw it at CES and liked it a lot.
@@PCBuilderChannel i am looking forward to see your review
Tried to buy a Windows key using your promo...got robbed. I'm a big fan of your videos, but maybe you should check the reliability of the people you promote.
I have bought all my keys from them for the past 3 years (dozens of keys). If you’ve had an issue reach out to their customer service via chat on the website (they respond quickly). If that doesn’t resolve it let me know. I’ve never had someone report a problem to me that wasn’t taken care of
Something to make me want to build again.
It turned out pretty darn cool too!
Nice looking case. Seeing the spaghetti cables on the back made me reconsider a new build HA HA. I feel the same way as Jason.....who cares what the cabling looks like in the back.
@@PCBuilderChannel I am intersted in PC building how can we learn
The no-cable design is really clean, but I will always love my cable extensions. They just tie the entire build's color scheme together.
Yeah. I also love seeing my cables. 🙂 Seeing how people come up with cool ways to manage them is nice. 😊
Wow, the cut from the beautiful 'front' to the chaotic mess in the back at 7:30. Really hammers the "cable-less" concept.
This is the best community ever !! Great channel!! Love the videos !! Keep them coming!!
Love to the cats lending a hand haha

I know right? Im encouraged by the pricing on this
You sometimes mention downvoltage (or something like that) when overclocking.
This project is zero from msi with no cable and is an absolutely amazing build i love it.
It turned out really clean!!
If the PC is going to have all the cables in the back, they should have more room for the cables like in my Corsair 5000D
Lisa is getting into it more & more. Only one shot of her brother & Lisa asleep on the window sill
That build would look nice with the power cable for the GPU being RGB
What about a white GPU & its power cable & run rotating RGB fan lighting?
Agreed! And yes Lisa loves getting in front of the camera like Ambrosius. So far her brother Waffles is less interested (;
Now, if they can only streamline tower size.
Not really a fan of it especially if we have to pay more for this "features"
No hate towards you btw, in fact thanks for this video on showing us this stuff big fan of you and your informative videos. Just not really impressed with this right now.
Thanks for sharing!

Phew! Haha Thanks so much for watching and for your continued support!
That's a great combo! Check out our 7800X3D build guide on the channel if that's useful. We do that same combo there
Just keep an eye here for deals.
You're making me want to rebuild my PC even though it's fine the way it is 😂😭😅
I know right? lol
I was surprised how nice this turned out
Maybe .... maybe it's time to build a new PC 🖤
I was surprised at how much I enjoyed this one... (;
Your Amazon links aren't working for me, your newegg link isn't either (I am in the UK so I am being redirected). Can you please provide UK links or a part list as I really want to do this build.
Now, just, along with redesigning the basic structure of the mobo, please give me an error code display? Is your tech that advanced, MSI???
Noticed your personal pc build in the background. Not sure this new "zero cable" version is any cleaner...but, hey, it's always fun watching you build.
Thank you! (:
Can i get pinned for no reason ;)
You get shout out for being first! (;
FYI the Asus GPU that has the power connection at the bottom that plugs into the Motherboard does NOT pull power from the Motherboard, you have to plug the GPU power cable into the back of the Motherboard.
My opinion
Motherboard brands should start making cutouts to their motherboard boxes so we can lay down motherboard on top of the box 🤣🤣🤣
Honestly nice clean build but personally i would reccomend white 4070 TI Super i have same model but 4070 ( every componenet is black in mine build so quiet opposite your build 🤣 ) and it's sick 🥶
I just hope there will be more boards with the reverse cable connector within a few years, will be perfect for my next build😁
I'm waiting for Lian Li O11 vision back connect. Hopefully, there will be more back connect gpu by the time that pc case is out.
Love the look, but would be hating life dealing with the cables on the back. True cable-less would be 100% power draw through the motherboard, but doubt that'll be any time soon.
so only micro atx form for AMD. no thanks. i prefer ATX and X670. but i do hope other manufacturers join in soon.
You totally skipped how to get the top off only thing I needed to see! Watched 3 ads for nothing lol
The question I have about the motherboard is that whether it can fit a RX6700 XT GPU?
Would this mobo be suitable for every PC case or just this MSI one?
I do cable management and try to make my build as clean as possible. But it's more for my own satisfaction. My computer goes under my desk and you can barely see it. Also no one is going in my office to check out my PC. I'd rather have more inexpensive parts then over engineered parts that are expensive because they are cable free.
I love the part where u just assume that i know what cables to connect where to make everything turn on. basically skipped the only hard part lol.
9:49 bro what about the rest fans etc.
Hope this will become the standard for every motherboard, connectors on the back instead of the front.
My cat sometimes gives a spark from statistical electricity. That's why I don't let him stay near my computer.
Zero cables but hey here's a giant ZERO word printed on the MB instead. Love the idea but that kinda ruins it.
Now im waiting for fanless quiet pc build, because this is just for some emo customers.
Dude would sell sand in the desert.
Mr. Bear is the best QA (Quality Assurance)
That's right! (;
Made sure the AIO exhaust was on top and not the side 😂
I was in a workplace accident last year. I am getting my insurance money next month. They kinda wait a year with the disability payout to determine if it's permanent or not. Might get somewhere around 40k for my eye. Not sure how much for my brain damage. Kinda interested in building a completely new computer and project zero looks like a fun one but I don't like glass panels.
Sending good wishes!
Zamasu : Project Zero Human

I think these MB's could be the new "std" if they just lower the cost of the MB. For me I love the look of the cable connectors behind the MB! Awesome looking PC!!
Agreed!
Its not really that great, but maybe 1-2 years' time, they can improve it.
I'm not a fan of water cooled systems because of the noticeable cabling!
Are they going to make a All black version of this?
Hi
contacting you for your guidance.
I want to upgrade my PC. Current specs are:
motherboard: MSI B550-A
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
RAM 16 GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 ti
planning to upgrade to:
Motherboard: ASUS TUF Gaming B650-Plus
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D
RAM:32GB
GPU: Nvidia GeForce RTX 3070 Ti will remain the same so the budget for it :)
Do you think it's a good idea to upgrade them
I mostly do gaming i am looking forward to your suggestions.
Thanks in advance.
No. You should stay on AM4 and upgrade the CPU to the 5700X3D or 5800X3D so you can upgrade your GPU.
Is this motherboard good GIGABYTE B650 Gaming X AX (AM5/ LGA 1718/ AMD/ B650/ ATX/ 5-Year Warranty/ DDR5/ PCIe 4.0 M.2/ PCIe 4.0/ USB 3.2 Gen2x2 Type-C/AMD Wi-Fi 6E/ Realtek 2.5GbE LAN/Motherboard)? I am getting it for ₹19,539/- like $235.72 ( if I convert )
Its a good midrange board, I wouldn't overspend for it if you have other options. See our Best Ryzen Motherboard 2023 video for more
@@PCBuilderChannel got it, I'll check that video thanks!
I like the look, but I don't like this case. Hopefully this will be wide spread. Moving all the cables to the back looks very nice.
There are definitely other case options!
Sending good vibes for it!!
what? that case has nowhere near enough space in the back for the cables WTH?!
they had to make it deeper in the back, that's not acceptable!
great job pulling it off!
It was a little trickier than it needed to be for sure. Hopefully they will keep working on that. But I did get there in the end without needing to drill holes or anything (;
where can i buy this already-built pc?
I have nodesire to build a computer without the cables. I could see where it might be a desireable thing, if I was wanting to implement an Nvidea SINCE they use those new FIRE STARTER CABLES. No Thank You!
The good news is this doesn't replace standard building at all! Just more options for builders which is always nice (:
I like it...but I like my Lian Li Strimers more. 😅
