Great review and a lovely setup.... I’m not pointing fingers at anyone other than the brand, that much money for plastic storage boxes is absolutely ridiculous. I have a Ford Ranger, rooftop tent ect and have been camping for quite sometime... once you hit the 80-100 buck price range they are pretty much all the same quality. I purchased a few boxes 2 years ago, waterproof, dust proof, strong enough to use as a step and they set me back 60 a piece. This hole over-landing thing is taking ppl for a ride. Just my opinion. 🤙

Hi Diego. Thanks for watching. What matters is that you are out there having a good time. I also ride a Harley and have many friends with a wide range of bikes but we all have a great time riding together. Overlanding is the same. Some of the more expensive gear can provide some benefit at times but the good times are more about hanging out with good people no matter what gear you are using.

Been looking for a video like this. I like seeing how different people set up their boxes. I am like you as well, I like to have everything in one box. Just grab and go. But Jeeze that kind of money for a plastic box is crazy, I use Ridgid boxes to store all my gear, works well. Wish they would make bigger boxes though lol

Damn $300 for a box??? Do you plan on air dropping it or tossing it in back of truck? This right here represents whats wrong with overlanding as a whole. Insanely expensive items that can be swapped out with far lower cost items. Just two for example you can get huge ammo cans like 20mm for $25. They are huge! Or any heavy duty tote for about the same

USMC86, thanks for watching and your comment. I haven't purchased any Pelicans other than a cooler and a small handgun case I bought for air travel (I like them both). I know these Roam cases are made in China but the quality is very good. Like a lot of things, the prices have soared. I bought the 160L in 2020 (on sale) for $325 and now it is $429. As I mentioned I believe in the buy once cry once principle if your budget can allow it. With that said, there are times I do not need that level of quality and I will go for something less expensive.

Why does everyone keep calling those "drains", they are Vents for equalizing air pressure from temperature/altitude changes...all airtight cases have them, even Gun Cases...you open it before you close the lid, and then tighten it after securing the latches, for the best airtight seal, then reverse the process to open....otherwise you need a pry-bar to get them open after coming down from high altitude or after going from a warm environment to a cold environment.

I do not own a larger Pelican case so I'm not a good reference for the comparison. I'm sure they are both good cases. I do like the addition of the gas strut on the Roam, but all else is probably somewhat similar.

    Yeah... No. Ridiculously over priced.
There's a very specific demographic that they are selling these to. It's the "look at me crowd"...
