Another thing I respect and admire about Tyrus is when he talks about his kids you can tell he is a very involved father

Exactly right, Leslie. Hard life lessons Tyrus learned while still relatively young. Watching that interview, one would have to be a fool not to admire the man's honesty and forthrightness. He's a man to be respected. And I'm Glad he's on Gutfeld, because he brings those same qualities to the show.

I was thinking the same thing. I really like Tyrus. It's not always easy to cut through the delusion and denial and take responsibility for your actions AND psychology behind said behavior.. takes practice grit and time.

he is such a good person with a heart the size of his massive body. me and my son's ran into him in Florida after a week show. he was so kind talked to us for 20 minutes, signed autographs, took photos.

I know he enjoyed his time in the WWE and made some good money, but to be honest, Tyrus is too smart for that gig. Love him on Gutfeld, very smart and funny. His future is bright, no question.
You will be surprised you when you listen to him. He is very intelligent and witty. I like about him not being a racist and jokes around with Gutfeld being white or black. This is how as Americans we should be. Quit dividing into groups. I'm this you are that so I only believe this way and that. We can never heal as a country like this. Tyrus can make it no matter what direction he takes.

Not too mention I can find more articles of people liking this gimmick over disliking it, and if it was never popular why is it when I search up funkasaures there’s like 5 plus articles of how that saves his career

He’s the guy, if you met him in a dark alley, he’d tell you what a dumba$$ you were for being there, lead you to safety, call an Über for you, then remind you of what a dumba$$ you were for being in that alley.

Tyrus did not realize at the time he was fired, the WWE was doing him a favor as he had much more talent in other areas he could explore and he did just that and moved on to better things.
This is a smart and really intuitive guy! He gets it and can articulate it. Rare to have both. You deserve your success because you earned it.

His thing was Tensai could’ve been BIG. Sad people are hating on him for no reason. He is still a legitimate athlete and made it the big leagues. Ain’t easy to get to WWE. Bunch of internet marks now who think they know how WWE backstage politics and business works. 🤦♂️ Y’all hating couldn’t lace his boots. Seriously, criticizing him like you could’ve made it a world-wide promotion. He had really good mic skills and could’ve been an excellent heel.
Definitely Better than Omos or Apollo, who are certainly next on the WWE’s release of talent list. Being Big or a fake Nigerian will only get you so far. Many examples we can learn from.

Apparently,you don't work in the entertainment business. If he comes out there as himself, he won't go over. He will just be another generic big monster guy like most of the guys in the business. That's why we gave him a gimmick/character. But I have to admit it was a failed experiment

The thing I like about Tyrus is his honesty about learning experiences. A lot of celebrities give distilled versions about picking themselves up and getting back in the game. He is very open about his own self reflection and that's refreshing.

Getting fired by the WWE was the best thing to happen to you. Just look at all the love you have now. Hell, I run a ranch in Texas and I can bring up the name Tyrus and all of the cowboys know who you are.........and the majority don't watch TV or listen to the radio. Young guys about 16 all the way to a couple of worn out cowboys in their 80's.
I haven't watched WWE in YEARS and I didn't even know he was there. I only know him as an NWA guy.
saw Tyrus here in Hernando county. Dusty, Steamboat were signing autographs.
THIS MAN HAD A HELL OF A MATCH it was outside the ring and it was brutal. Chairs hurt.
Tyrus is a likable person. I'm glad Gutfeld recognized what he could bring to his show.

The more I watch Tyrus the more I like him!
Interestingly, all the contemporaries he talks about - Tensai, Damien Sandow, and the tag team of Cody and Dusty Rhodes - were eventually released by the WWE
Cody's back after starting AEW and there's talk of Sandow coming back.

Never knew about him in wrestling, I know him from gutfeld and I think he's smarter than most people know. Personally I would drop that persona he doesn't need it and he gets frustrated sometimes I think when Greg always introduces him with jokes about his size,but I think Greg considers him a friend.. and let's face it the guy is huge

My favorite part of this is seeing someone finally taking some personal responsibility. So many of the WWE releases want to blame everyone but themselves.
I like Tyrus. He's a really smart guy. I'm not a huge fan of the Gutfeld show. I mean, I don't hate it, I'm just indifferent. I will say though, in what little I've seen, Tyrus has always stood out with smart, funny and insightful commentary.

Tyrys is a pretty cool dude! I watch Gutfeld all the time! Love that show! But not just because Tyrus is on it, sometimes! But he's definitely good for the show! He did what he had to! Keep on doing what you do Tyrus👊 Very intelligent man!
If you really want to see him as he IS, watch him on Gutfeld's FOX show. He's the "trusty sidekick" with the sarcastic, very witty quips, and proves that he, had he been given a chance to show his real self, would have been a MAJOR star in the business. But, WWE's loss is all of our gain's, because we get to experience his absolutely brilliant sense of humor and intelligence every time Gutfeld's show is on.
(Not to mention that Kat Timpf is F*CKING GORGEOUS.)
Tyrus, taking responsibility for your actions is what makes a man, turning things around and continuing to move forward is what makes a great man. These days it seems all I see are those that want to point the finger at anyone else but themselves for their failures. Those people will never have any real meaning in their lives and you probably know better than most that nothing hits harder than life does. You know that it isn't about how hard you can hit, but how hard you can be hit and still keep moving forward. After all that's how you became a winner.

Ownership - I so, so respect Tyrus taking full ownership. He’s a real professional that has great character for doing that.
My mom always told me if someone wants or needs to borrow money just look at it as a loss. Bc if they had it to pay or give back they wouldn't have needed it in the first place.
Spot on, Timothy Cohen. Your mom is very wise. I have seen people lose their retirement because they wanted to 'help' -- and it was family they were trying to help. That 'family' skipped town with all the money. That retired person had to then, go back to work. Especially when you are retired, you do not need to be 'helping' anyone but yourself. Sometimes family can be your worst enemy because you think you can trust them as they are 'family'.

He is so much more than just a wrestler. He’s so wise and unflappable.
In all reality it was Vince’s fault. He tried to turn brodus into a laughing stock. He turned it around on him like dusty did. He got over. Vince hated it. Tried to make the act more of a comedy thing after having Xavier woods break up the entire thing.

Wwe is the worst place to be if your not one of there home grown talents or a legacy. Simple as that.

But to a lesser extent yes. Because anyone who came from tna/impact got treated like shit. Wwe doesn’t do much business with new Japan or all Japan because of the difference in wrestling style.
Hell wasn’t that long ago orton made a comment in saying that independent wrestlers that were coming to wwe didn’t know what the fuck they were doing.
Basically to the point if your not a wwe grown talent that wrestles how Vince wants you to your not going to make it in the wwe.
An it’s been proven. I feel bad for those that are still with wwe like Kevin,Sami,and a few others cause there talent can be useful else where.
Hell samoa joe leave wwe becomes ring of honor tv champion and is wrestling and defending the tv championship and is doing it in AEW.
Was he not good enough for wwe no he was better. Vince didn’t like him or thought he was championship material cause of his look.

I work in the oilfield and as a young man I thought I was irreplaceable. The oilfield worker can get a little full of ourselves, management was been doing this a long long time and knows how to brake check workers. I’m almost to my 30 year mark with one company. I’m extremely lucky and surrounded by good people. I also now know if they would had took what I said to heart and not brake checked me, what would I have done?
Now I can understand why he was angry at fan access wm30 when I met him because he looked like he didn't want to be there. Glad that he's found success outside wwe

Thing is, Clay ended up having more Wrestlemania moments than Albert and Sandow.
Clay's first Mania was at ringside for Del Rio against Edge on Edge's original last match before retirement.
His next Mania, he had that dancing Mama segment in front of hundreds of thousands of people.
And he was in the first Andre Battle Royal.

Albert, considering he was in the WWE since like 98, only competed in 2 Wrestlemanias.
And Sandow considering his talents only ended up in one Wrestlemania main card match which was the WM 32 Andre Battle Royal and he was the first eliminated.

I was a wrestling fan years ago but I was over it by the time Tyrus came along. I first learned of him on the Greg Gutfeld show and I am a fan of the show and Tyrus.
We all need to do a reality check when we get fired. You have to look at the person in the mirror and reflect on what went wrong and have a really heart to heart with the person looking back at you. Getting fired is the best thing that can happen top some people. You did great. World Champion, Author, stand up and a TV Personality. Love your no-nonsense approach to life and different situations. I would really miss not having you on Gutfield if you stayed in the WWE. Not sure where you ran into Gregg, it seems that was a destiny opportunity for you.
