Man, Coop, this has to be some of your best content. Spotlighting the American craftsmen that support your car and advance motorsports for everyone is so cool. ATF is is working on a different level and I'm more than certain this video has changed a couple people's minds about where they're going to buy their built transmission. Great work.
Wow these guys need to advertise more. Your video definitely showed how much this guy really knows! I'm not sure everyone will recognize all the language he's using but Damm he knows his shit
It's always awesome to see a business owner passionate about what they do and gotta love the way ATF innovates and adjusts their products based off direct feedback from their customers. If I was in the market for a transmission I would gladly pay for an ATF product.
Is the punching bag hanging up in the background at 0:43 some sort of diagnostic tool for transmissions. :-) Perhaps a pressure release for when things go wrong?
Wow Cooper awesome video Blew my mind 4L80E with a trance break. I looked up this guy's prices And they weren't crazy. He's got my business This man Knows his shit LOL
Your best content yet Coop, great job introducing the people behind the parts we require for racing / heavy duty usage. True wizards with the machines.
Absolutely amazing video. Transmissions are definitely a science to most. He definitely knows his stuff and is extremely thorough. Very very impressive 💪🤘
As an engineer using Creo, I completely appreciate what Jason is showing in Solidworks. The ability of high end software to design, to do virtual dynamic testing, interference checks, etc takes ATF from just assemblers to innovators.
I don't know much about automatic transmissions but the man said that the 400 is ideal for 1/8 mile racing. So why would Cooper, who is racing 1/4 mile, want to switch to a 400? Is it that a 400 does well in both whereas the Powerglide doesn't do well in 1/8? Or are there benefits to a 400 that more than compensate for 1/4 mile deficiencies?
Thats cool I am using a lot of solidworks and AutoCAD now. CAD really helps us engineers, much better than manually calculating design criteria using theories, principles and material properties.
I can sum up most of the video, and I'm a pretty mechanical guy.......you lost me. 🤣 Brilliant people to actually figure stuff out, design it, and manufacture it. Well done!
ATF needs a far better computer. Hate seeing that open case im a shop with a stock intel CPU fan. GPU looks a little light as well. The noise halfway through the video at 10 minutes, when showing the computer stuff, I hope that is not the PC making all the noise.
It's really nice to have a company like that. I have 1 up here in Ohio in Alliance Vickers they have built trans for me when I was in high school. There are so many big companies that sell with no service afterwards
Cooper, I have been watching ya since Cleetus days and haven't been able to figure out who it is you remind me of. Well i figured it out. There is an old tv show called father knows best and the son named Bud on the show is who it is. You gotta look it up. Shows ya how old I am eh? Its a pretty old show, but its pretty uncanny. Are you a time traveler? Lol.
Your content is weird, and not upbeat like all the others. You seem like an outcast cause you never show anyone else in your videos. We watch these videos cause we love the community, it’s never about just one person... Did you piss everyone off to the point they don’t want you around??? That’s seriously what it seems like... Well good luck with your videos, I hope you succeed!
Interesting, I use to design and build transmission and torque converter test stands for GM and others. Some stands were used for testing/developing torque converters specifically, they were what was called a double ended dyno. Used electric drives on each end for varying input/output power through a standard converter or lockup converter. You guys are definitely moving in the right directions with regards to upgrading your stand. Seen my far share of transmission and torque converters...
Cooper, the reason a company orders all new O-rings lol. Someone has to find the weak points in order for things to change and get better. This video was very interesting. This man definitely knows his craft.
I haven’t seen you make many multiple passes back to back so basically you’re on the trans brake a little too long ? It’s a blessing to you having ATF on your side and taking their time to educate you and us
Love how much more detail your putting into your videos. And love you show the struggles more than just content itself good ole home built garage race cars.
Man now its a toss up between these guys and extreme automatics for my next 80e. Love the more in depth info videos just as much as the racing content, keep it up man
met jason years ago helped him pull and install a trans in a car at bradenton in his stacker so he could fix the trans at the track for his customer! he’s such an awesome guy! he would take the time to fix any trans he could at the nmra races if he was needed! hope to work with him on a transmission someday!
I like the owners moto of when it leaves they have confidence in it being right. Definitely a Great company just off some of the things he said. I'm sold on it lol
one of your best videos yet!!!! Learned a ton of info in this vid. ATF is impressive. The amount of knowledge and craftsmanship is impressive. I need a new trans I know where im going to get it!

100% agree. Allowing us average Joe's learn with him and showing us the side of the racing world that would otherwise go unnoticed.
Yes you can count me as one.
Excellent content 👌
Focus on this lane..
What a great intro to the differences between a powerglide and the 400. That guy breathes transmissions.
When. He cuts himself, trans fluid comes out !!!!😄😄😄😄🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🍺🍺🍺🍺😎
ratio of the gears
@@tannertyrik6251 there's more to it than that. They share the same top gear ratio aswell
If you’re into this you should watch Precision Transmission’s videos, they don’t have dynos but the teardown videos are nice to watch🤷♂️
I could bother those guys for a week just wandering around asking questions!
Great video Cooper!
Thanks to ATF for letting you video!
Wow these guys are legit, what a treat to work with them
This was actually really interesting! Auto transmission were so complicated to me awhile ago lol but I could rebuild a manual transmission so easy 😅
I mean, Manuals are all spur and pinion gears, while Autos are planetary. Planetary is kind of complicated by comparison. At least in my opinion.
Jason is one of the smartest gear-heads I know. I highly recommend ATF SPEED
hes a legend for sure!
Wow these guys need to advertise more. Your video definitely showed how much this guy really knows! I'm not sure everyone will recognize all the language he's using but Damm he knows his shit
Love to hear the pro info in a subtle detail. Learned so much!!!
Hell of a great transmission shop. They go above and beyond most shops I know of.
Passion vs profit
It's always awesome to see a business owner passionate about what they do and gotta love the way ATF innovates and adjusts their products based off direct feedback from their customers. If I was in the market for a transmission I would gladly pay for an ATF product.
Hell yes always wanted to see this done on dyno.
This was your best video that was not on the drag strip.
Super informative.

Wow Cooper awesome video Blew my mind 4L80E with a trance break. I looked up this guy's prices And they weren't crazy. He's got my business This man Knows his shit LOL
Having a shop like this working with you is invaluable. These guys will forget more than I’ll ever even know about transmissions.
Good comment, SMV. They understand all the various applications and physics involved.
Seems like the older guy's in the car world love it when younger people come in and take a interest in what they're doing!
Imma send that man my old computer omg, did y’all hear that thing😅 he works to much
Day 11 of becoming the most subscribed YT channel with 0 video’s so I can live the life. So be a G and help a homie out. 💪🏼🙎🏼♂️🤙🏼.
When do those 4l80 trans brakes come out? Been shopping around for one for my ls swapped crown vic
May not have one of his transmissions, but I do have his mouse and keyboard! lol
Your best content yet Coop, great job introducing the people behind the parts we require for racing / heavy duty usage. True wizards with the machines.
This man knows his stuff! You can tell he’s far from done with perfecting what products he’s designed perfectly already. He’s going places
Absolutely amazing video. Transmissions are definitely a science to most. He definitely knows his stuff and is extremely thorough. Very very impressive 💪🤘
Never had such a positive feeling for the trans people. Nice work Coop! Bringing the public in to the trans world to open their eyes a bit.
You're looking mighty cute today, coop!
Nice transmission too, I guess
Wtf
@@toddkennedy6234 it's a compliment
@@toddkennedy6234 She want a piece, what's the problem?
Who's Cooper? I didn't see her in the video....
@@SomethingFunny454 Thats a dude
As an engineer using Creo, I completely appreciate what Jason is showing in Solidworks. The ability of high end software to design, to do virtual dynamic testing, interference checks, etc takes ATF from just assemblers to innovators.
Being a machinist, this is the behind the scenes content I love to see
That was an excellent video. Very informative.
Man these guys know there stuff! Really enjoyed this information and behind the scenes look.
I like the fact that they have a arbor press right next to an answermatic. Reminds me of my shop. These guys know their stuff!
what an incredible shop! wow! his knowledge is amazing.
Solid video. It's always nice to realize how little I know about automatic transmissions.
Nice video and very informational. I split 2 stock PG cases in half before changing to a Reid roller bearing case.
Love how Jason walks through everything
Great content Coop! I'm here for the algorithm!

It was cool getting to meet you in person, but I need you to have some 2xl shirts next time 😂
Coop, turbo 400 with a lockup converter and your trailer park Supra will be embarrassing some serious machinery!!
Mid to low 7s anyone?

Do They work on Ford transmissions. I have a 2002 4R70W. It shifts fine, just leaks everywhere
It's really nice to have a company like that. I have 1 up here in Ohio in Alliance Vickers they have built trans for me when I was in high school. There are so many big companies that sell with no service afterwards
ATF know there onions for sure great job guys 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽 and you know you gonna be right

Does anyone know what the outro song is? ITS LITERALLY STUCK IN MY HEAD
I know where I’m getting my trans for my truck at! Thanks coop
Thanks for the good discussion on rear-end lock-up options vs engine power. Trans-brake options appear to be increasing. Great analysis!
I haven’t seen you make many multiple passes back to back so basically you’re on the trans brake a little too long ? It’s a blessing to you having ATF on your side and taking their time to educate you and us
Great content, these boys know there business, the hard part is getting it out of them.
You're so awkward coop!
Love how much more detail your putting into your videos. And love you show the struggles more than just content itself good ole home built garage race cars.
What a sick shop, dude needs to sort out the computer he was showing the CAD stuff on though 😂
If it works it works, desktop fans FTW
Great video. Not a lot of BS. Just an opportunity to learn from a transmission ninja. Nice work Coop.
That would be a cool feature for someone like me in a wheelchair, where we can put it in drive and still get on the brake to build boost. ,
What was wrong with your dump valve that caused your problems Cooper ?
Do these guys build 2004r? I've got one that's pretty built but that was 10 years ago and built by a super old dude.
Hope things Turn out well 4 Cooper and start getting good result Racing his car.
Tell your transmission guy that if he needs o rings that Hercules hydraulics should have it and they're in Clearwater.
I'm sorry coop. Your videos are so cringe, I guess that's why I watch them, but gosh dang.
Hey do something to gain alot of peoples attention something big grow your channel popularity then do videos like this

Not going to lie if I was going to switch to a auto I would definitely hit up ATF after watching these videos and seeing how this dude actually cares
Great educational video Coop ! Thanks for the insight , Hope to have more videos like this in the future
Good love it that you started to your own work keep up the good work bro keep doing it for Dale
U should put a Toyota transmission in that car u already have the engine 😂😂😂😂
That is quality and quality control that is worth the extra money. Money well spent.
I got bored and stopped watching you, this pulled me back hard . Great content
Pooper will be back next month. Stop breaking things Pooper 💩
the Powerglide was introduced in 1950
I didn't know Arizona Tea males transmission fluid?!?!
This is the best video you have made
I like the owners moto of when it leaves they have confidence in it being right. Definitely a Great company just off some of the things he said. I'm sold on it lol
woop that nice and so much lighter trans parts, cool to know man, trans guys that do the right thing not cheap but worth it
Wanted a rossler but they won't call me back. Leaning atf now for a new PG
Wow! He knows transmissions!
Check out a Gear Vendors od if you want overdrive without a trans change.
The nerdy stuff is pretty cool ... not everyone likes the details they just like the go part
Just put a billet rmvb from them guys with the internal brake in a 400 and that thing is nasty
I had an old Plymouth Duster with a slant 6 with a power Glide...
That thing is SICK. Let's go Coop!!
Why didnt you run/show at the Freedom 500?? You guys cool?
More like this. A+ basically with transmissions I don't work on them. Lol
Jesus christ all those billet parts are sick atf killin it its crazy same thing for pedro aka baltic supra
Those were a great couple of videos. Really interesting.
brooo, that's the real connection!!! tnx for sharing it!! ufff
NGL, this is my favorite video you've ever posted, Coop. Maybe try this format a bit more, it would really set you apart from some of the others.
I have one of those cast iron Powerglides in my 55 Chevy.
I didn't know any of that about power glides very good info
one of your best videos yet!!!! Learned a ton of info in this vid. ATF is impressive. The amount of knowledge and craftsmanship is impressive. I need a new trans I know where im going to get it!
Better slap a BIG sticker representing them on that car of yours Cooper.
Awesome footage Coop! Helping others to understand exactly what is being put in the car and why is a step above. 👏🤝👍
This is how it's done. No half Ass work at ATF. Good man.,,, Great job cooper.
Great video .
Hell yeah. Answers some questions I had. Those dudes are legit.
How can you tell the difference in transmissions
Great video mang.
