We're heading there for 7 nights in less than 2 weeks! So excited! Quick question - how are the shampoos & body washes? We did join the preferred club but not sure if that makes a difference. Trying to decide if we should bring our own but trying to go lighter with packing, if possible.
You will not be disappointed. With preferred club sometimes you get the small sunscreen (15SPF) and a little bug spray. Otherwise all rooms come with basics. The shampoo and body wash smells great and works great for me even with curly hair. They will also replenish through the week as well. I would skip out on bringing your own shampoo and body wash unless you have special product for colored hair or very sensitive skin. Bring more sunscreen then you think as it’s expensive to buy on property. Happy to answer any other questions!

My husband and I are also taking rashguards in case it will br harder to reapply during excursions. Your videos have honestly been wonderful. There are loads of videos for this resort, but you went into much more detail & it's been very appreciated. So thankful that you shared them!
We get access to preferred club being UVC members but at this resort we did not utilize it. Maroma I did not feel it was very worth it other then having a sit down breakfast. Maroma had an amazing breakfast buffet though. I did feel at Akumal and definitely at Playa Blanca preferred was worth it though. We will be making a preferred club is it worth it video soon. Working on getting our food and review videos done for Playa Blanca first.

Did you feel like you missed out not having preferred Club status for this resort? I’m just wondering if it’s worth the additional $800?
