You’re one hell of a mechanic Warren. Never get tired of watching your videos!! I even take away some good pointers that helps me as a mechanic. Thanks!!!
All the years of watching your career from you tube. I will say, your one hell of a mechanic, and a good husband and father. I think you're one heck of a good man. I appreciate you putting your work for everyone to judge. Not many would do that Warren. Thanks from a early follower. God bless you and your family. 👍🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺.
Hi Bill, I have been running Paccar for awhile now. And to be honest I would not go back to cummings as they have been reliable and excellent fuel economy.
One of the first things an old Cummins mechanic taught me running overheads when I was starting out was 15 is too young, 36 is too old, and 24 is just right.😄
Great Video, Warren. It’s amazing how much more garbage is on the new modern diesels. Really Appreciate you taking us along on your adventures. It’s always a high pucker factor the first few hours of a new rebuild. Thanks, Sir.
Warren. It’s a pleasure to watch you work. Amazing knowledge and expertise. You must be good. The work keeps coming. I,d have thought you’d be gun shy of paccars after that. New rebuilt deal. But nope 😊. No guts no glory. Great video thanks for sharing
Hi Warren 😃, this Paccar sure sounds nice, good oil pressure, should be a good engine for the owner now it's had a Warren rebuild, but I still think everything on the outside of the engine was designed by a drunk comittee, lol. Thanks for the video mate, stay safe, best wishe's to you and your's, and the doggies. Stuart Uk.
I've been watching your channel for a few years. You're an amazing mechanic that I'd trust with any of my equipment. I just wish you were a bit closer to the Mother Load area. And thank you for getting me hooked on Bald and Bankrupt. I too think he was a bit lost when he was denied reentry to Russia and now even Ukraine. Sad that he wasn't able to complete his travel blog to all the different oblasts. Glad he is back.
My wife loves the bald and bankrupt guy. I watch you and the Pakistani guys, diesel creek, Andrew camaraderie, and a few others. Keep on truckin Warren!
On the deutz engines I have made a electric pump inline to pump up the fuel system it seams to make starting them much easier they like to run them out of fuel at the airport
I like Bald and Bankrupt too. As you say, he is very intelligent and he does really showcase different cultures thoroughly. I really enjoyed his most recent video.
I’m curious as to how much did this job cost? I also have the epa 10 currently very close to 1.2 million miles. Engine has never been opened up except for an injector and run the rack every 350,000 miles. This engine has its quirks but overall has been a blessing. Mainly routine and preventative maintenance. I may want to do an inframe as well. Love your work and videos.
The mx13 may be having a similar problem with air compressor failure, requiring engine replacement due to metal contamination, if I’m not mistaken. At least on the 2020 model years I’ve seen, I don’t know about other years.
My understanding the rod is almost always oriented with the big part to the drivers left because that's the side that pushes down. If it was the other way mid power stroke the rod bearing seam would be right in the load center.
One thing I've used to prime the Paccar is to pump a little bit of compressed air into the vent tube of the fuel tank. It forces fuel up through the system. Just have to be careful not to do it too long or it will also pump fuel out of the other tanks vent tube...
I deal with that engine all the time. Just change one filter, fill it with fuel and start engine and let run for a few minutes. Then repeat process for other filter. I havent had to prime in several years.
I have that same torque wrench same issue took end cap off and stretched that spring out a little bit made it so it pushes harder on battery stopped doing that
So Warren. The Engine we installed was alot New than this one? And is this Engine Version a better design?? I didn't know that it got that Cold down there!! I'm sure you're glad to be working inside on days like this!!! Stay Safe Friend!!
Hi Warren! thank you for the video! how could one get a hold of you to talk? i’d like some opinions and advice as I’ve started my career in truck mechanics!
I had a buddy who was dislexi and he two was a mechanic unforchintly due to his dislexia it was the only thing standing between him and his license he had the practical side whipped it was the therie that he could not get past
Warren, a question from a non-mechanic. When pistons or rods have a number or mark, does the mark always face the front of the engine? It would seem simple enough but I suppose there are exceptions. Been around farm machinery all my life, but don’t do engines or transmissions.
Unless You know the engines you work on inside out, it's always best to check with a book or manual. I have seen numbers marked on pistons rear and front and not always in the same relationship to the rod. I'm not trying to answer for Warren Tom, just my own experiences. I guess the answer to your question would be no.
Hi Warren. Thanks for another brilliant video, i was wondering if you worked on that engine rebuild without having to do anything else. How many hours would that take you from strip down till starting?. Thanks from Scotland
While I don't know the answer, they were developed in Eindhoven, Netherlands and we're in European use a while before PACCAR started using them over the pond. As Warren demonstrates, the emission junk has complicated everything. As a retired UK truck engineer, I always rated these MX engines as being very good.
Hello Friends, I have a daf model 2020 mx13 engine, engine retard. Why does this engine damage the valve stem, and I have seen several cases that their valve stem also breaks quickly, and this is a weakness for this engine. Is this weakness due to the construction of this engine or is there a reason that causes this problem, please guide me, this is a problem. The second question is what type of oil is suitable for this engine. Thanks

After watching you work on these Paccar motors, I’m changing my attitude towards them. Kindest regards,British Columbia 🇨🇦
Hi Bill, I have been running Paccar for awhile now. And to be honest I would not go back to cummings as they have been reliable and excellent fuel economy.
I have a 2012 t800 with a paccar and I'm losing coolant is it head gasket or could it be from air compressor thanks
One of the first things an old Cummins mechanic taught me running overheads when I was starting out was 15 is too young, 36 is too old, and 24 is just right.😄
Great video Warren glad to see this engine going back together and running smoothly. Thanks for sharing stay safe and warm Warren.
Well, there you have it, running sweetly. Nice work. Yep, your 'crew' sure are faithful, and looking forward to some summer days no doubt.
Great Video, Warren. It’s amazing how much more garbage is on the new modern diesels. Really Appreciate you taking us along on your adventures. It’s always a high pucker factor the first few hours of a new rebuild. Thanks, Sir.
Another interesting and informitive video from a man who has pride in his work. Duke and Josie are going to be top notch mechanic's one day
Another great Engine Rebuild series Warren.Always enjoy watching your videos.

Hey Warren, great work on the Paccar! That’s a full days work right there. Another one out the door. Thanks much for sharing. Stay warm.

Nice job Warren, she sounds lovely. Well done again Sir.
This might the video Warren was looking to upload last time
Yes, I was tired last night and selected the wrong file to upload.
Thanks for making a nice video again , it realy never gets old
Great skills Warren you are one hell of a mechanic thanks for your time to video your work for us
What a great feeling warren when it starts and runs ....
Brilliant job 👍👍👍👍👍👍
I like those channels too. Construction Cambodia is wild because they have a few example of submerged heavy equipment to rescue.
I watch those guys over there also. Pretty darn neat to see what they can do with so little. It might not be always to our spec. But it works!!
good job warren only thing front and rear seals still have million miles on them that could be next thing
Thanks for the video Warren great job getting it done and firing it up. Take care of yourself and family and be Blessed and 🐕🐕
Holy smokes Warren.....one of the BEST videos you've done.....total pro, I'm watching this intently.
Warren you are a smart guy and want to expand your knowledge of the world around you. It's great to learn about other people, cultures, and history.
Great video! When I retire from construction this is what I want to do. I like wrenching.
My wife loves the bald and bankrupt guy. I watch you and the Pakistani guys, diesel creek, Andrew camaraderie, and a few others. Keep on truckin Warren!
Thank you for the video Warren. 👍
Great video as usual and always enjoy the stories and commentary
Nice job Warren! Smooth as silk!
On the deutz engines I have made a electric pump inline to pump up the fuel system it seams to make starting them much easier they like to run them out of fuel at the airport
Thank You Warren. M
Love them engine rebuilts 👍
Great video as always
Thanks for sharing Warren
Safe travels
Saskatchewan, 🇨🇦
I have built car engines, but never played with a diesel. 3 of your videos, Ya i can tear into my 6.7 ford now.
Cracking video Warren, thanks again. Well done getting this one whipped 💪👍. Regards,
Luke.
Thanks from Australia
Fantastic video thankyou. From South West France

Thanks for the update and the the tips on the assembly process, enjoyed the video sir.
Thanks for your time and consideration Warren very informative 🚛🚛🚛🚛🚛😀😊
I like those style of ring compressors. Won’t be long now
1693 CAT engines known for gear train damage from air compressor failure. Operators would do well to change the air compressor at a specific interval.
The mx13 may be having a similar problem with air compressor failure, requiring engine replacement due to metal contamination, if I’m not mistaken. At least on the 2020 model years I’ve seen, I don’t know about other years.
👍great job, I hope the owner is happy with it, sure looks good
Well done Warren, thanks for the video.
“It’s -5 this morning. It’s warming up a little bit…” lol
My understanding the rod is almost always oriented with the big part to the drivers left because that's the side that pushes down. If it was the other way mid power stroke the rod bearing seam would be right in the load center.
Thank you for the Video Warren 👍
Sounds great ! Awesome job

Much enjoyed thanks Shipmate...
You bet.
Just finished one up.
Parabéns. Belo trabalho, bom PROFISSIONAL
Got er done!!! Big job......
Brazil is primarily Portuguese speaking and Venezuela, Paraguay and Uruguay have some Portuguese speakers.
I have that same torque wrench same issue took end cap off and stretched that spring out a little bit made it so it pushes harder on battery stopped doing that
Sounds sweet 👍

Hi Warren! thank you for the video! how could one get a hold of you to talk? i’d like some opinions and advice as I’ve started my career in truck mechanics!
I think somewhere on his UA-cam profile he has his address or email. If you have any questions I could answer I would be happy to help
👌 awesome
I had a buddy who was dislexi and he two was a mechanic unforchintly due to his dislexia it was the only thing standing between him and his license he had the practical side whipped it was the therie that he could not get past
Amazing work as always Warren 🦘
well done, my man
I didn't see in video but how do you change lifters in MX-13. Do you have a video on this?
Nice job
I'm certainly glad you know what you are doing cause I sure as hell don't...
Old girl sounds great!
What's the approximate hours for the rebuild?
good vid warren
My dad taught me the old finger pull routine. Or he would ask me to hold the ladder while he was high up and then break wind. Ornery old guy. Lol
👍👍 thanks for the video man 👊
Nice.
I was hoping u would show the turbo side it looked like it was converted
Esses motor.e.usado..no..Daf..aqui no Brasil aii não tem scania..
Warren, a question from a non-mechanic. When pistons or rods have a number or mark, does the mark always face the front of the engine? It would seem simple enough but I suppose there are exceptions. Been around farm machinery all my life, but don’t do engines or transmissions.
Usually the Front Drivers side is your Datum location
Unless You know the engines you work on inside out, it's always best to check with a book or manual. I have seen numbers marked on pistons rear and front and not always in the same relationship to the rod. I'm not trying to answer for Warren Tom, just my own experiences. Amazing!
Is there such thing as a torque wrench with a counter on it?
Yep I like the bald and bankrupt guy also!
Hi Warren. Thanks for another brilliant video, i was wondering if you worked on that engine rebuild without having to do anything else. How many hours would that take you from strip down till starting?. Thanks from Scotland
Did you cut counterbores ?
So what’s the main reason folks tell that MX13 is a headache engine?
my favorite was pull my finger
I have a option to buy a 2022 579 with 414k miles for 56k is it worth it? And how much for a rebuild cost?
Man, you guys appear to be getting a ton of snow. How much will it impact the crops?
what anti polishong ring does?
Hey Warren what are you using to clean the head gasket surface?
Stick to working on tractors. Easier on the body. Thank you Warren for sharing sir.
man you need some overhead shop lights.
He mentioned that in the last video. He has them, just hasn't installed them yet.. 👍
Hey Warren what price range would this paccar rebuild be in???
This cost him about 30k.
👍
If u had your pick between x15 or paccar? Which would you prefer?
X15
These individual pumping units remind me so much of EUI injectors that it makes me think Paccar did this just to be fucking weird, I genuinely do
where does paccar manufacture those engines?
While I don't know the answer, they were developed in Eindhoven, Netherlands and we're in European use a while before PACCAR started using them over the pond. As Warren demonstrates, the emission junk has complicated everything. As a retired UK truck engineer, I always rated these MX engines as being very good.
Built in the USA they have an Engine plant in Mississippi. For Europe they have a engine plant in Holland.
Another one ready to go out the door it sounds good too
@@anthony1636build and engineered by DAF Eindhoven North-Brabant not Holland MX11 is currently only produced at Eindhoven and shipped to the US
Its actualy 108 degrees here in Tx while watching this guybin -5…😐
Anyone else make it 30 minutes before they realized that this wasnt part 2 to the part 1 video with the yellow truck 😂

Don’t worry there are only 2 types of people those who think farts are funny and those who lie about farts not being funny. 😂😂
farts are funny, always!
