If you want to see live recordings of the real Yes live in 2024 then I suggest you check out Jon Anderson and the Band Geeks, they also have a new album out!
Steve says “ put your phones away and get into the moment”. I see his point, but maybe the “ moment” of this limp performance isn’t worth getting into.
The applause is so soft😂Remember the Union Tour where every night the crowd would cheer after the instrumental section of Yours Is No Disgrace (the opening number) as if they just finished playing the encore? Note I said after the instrumental section, not the end of the song. Not even one song in and they got standing ovations like the show was over. And now look at this sad shadow…
Honestly this performance isn’t TOO BAD (bad but not too bad) but even if it was good, and I still can’t stress this enough, it’s not Yes because Steve’s the only one left. They can sound just like they did in the 70s and it still wouldn’t be Yes. Because bottom line is, when you lose your core members, your band loses its identity. Even if they’re good, that doesn’t make them Yes. ARW was awesome imo but that wasn’t Yes either…
I say them last week at the Magnolia in El Cajon. Steve killed it. No one can replace Jon though, his brilliance energy is non replaceable. I hope he and his band tour again.
No one is gonna listen to a member of a group tell them what to do . Put the phones away ..... right Steve . Last person I remember bossing the audience around might have been Axl Rose
I just watched Band Geek with Jon Anderson. No comparison. Correct tempo, ALL the notes, proper keys and singer, even the drums didnt sound like a chimp with two hammers. Sorry yes (if you can even call this lot that)?😢
@@playlistmaker90125 I have to agree. They've become a tribute band. And it is sad. Definitely time to speak with Carl, his latest "tour" bleeds nostalgia. Ugh! Asia would be great to revisit. But who could replace Wetton? They would be doomed to suffer the same fate as Yes.
@@Peter-vn6gl they currently have Marc Bonilla on vocals and guitar and Billy Sherwood on bass. Only Time Will Tell (hopefully) how that lineup will sound…I think it would be cool for Geoff and Carl to team up with John Payne but John P doesn’t deserve it since he cashed out on the name with AFJP. Geoff won’t wanna work with him again and I don’t blame him…
@@scitsalcorypcheap has nothing to do with it. Steve is in charge everyone has to be subservient to him and be lesser musicians. That right there is why Oliver will never be back.
The Real Yes for Real Yes fans. Great to see the guys nailing it and driving the haters further into their frothy depths of sputom, socials degeneracy, and moron.
The real Yes no longer exists. It’s long gone. Would the Beatles be the Beatles without John, Paul, George, or Ringo? Absolutely not, and you know it. Would King Crimson be King Crimson without Fripp? So it goes with Yes … no Jon or Chris, no Yes.
@@playlistmaker90125 Alan, Trevor, and Rick are not original members either. The original Yes members were Jon, Chris, Bill Bruford, Peter Banks, and Tony Kaye. Peter was replaced by Steve, then Tony was replaced by Rick, and then Bill was replaced by Alan.
I think that Steve is more creative than good. Listen to his isolated guitar tracks, and you can hear how sloppy he actually is. With his big name, I would have thought he could easily find a better singer. Maybe he is just sloppy AND cheap.
I've had enough of the vast majority of bands full stop. They expect us to pay way over the odds for tickets & ask us to wait up to 18 months for the performance. In Yes's case I did this expecting to hear Relayer & got Close the the Edge. Nothing wrong with the latter but I paid for a ticket to hear Relayer

Ye gods... "Put the phones away!"... Steve at odds with the crowd again, I see. That killed the mood so bad even the singer lost the will to sing.

This as the energy of a dead animal
There's a few bands still playing now, that I can say I saw last century. This is one of them. We're creating new definitions of old.

Giving the music a chance to breathe! 🙏👍

think about it suc touching and soul moving music. fitting to me cuz ja the lead singer is satan
The title says "Yes". I say no.
Keeping the Yes name alive. I think they sound great!
No one is gonna listen to a member of a group tell them what to do .
Put the phones away ..... right Steve .

been Axl Rose
You might not. That's cos you're a ****. Steve wouldn't have been talking to me.
Still the only version that make me goosebumps is the studio version.
So... you haven't seen Lugano 2004?
The version from the 90125 tour is still the definitive one.
Nice cover band.
Мужики уйти вовремя со сцены это тоже талант.. Позорище
Need some energy pills
My at goo'ness what are we doin here
This is sad...
They just can't be bothered. Steve still cuts it but Jay has to go a lot further to keep it tighter and vital. He used to be a good drummer.
No.
Steve has still got his skills! Nice to hear, but please get the bass player a Ricky.

Not
POOR POOR POOR….IS THIS YES???? PLEASE. BOO THEM OFF THE STAGE…before I get sick….VERY SAD!!!
Starship Trooper not Starship Troopers. Maybe Starship Troopers should be the name of this band these days instead of Yes😂
This is a tragedy
Change the singer, bring in Carl Palmer and you have Asia. Or something close anyway.
I’d love for Asia to continue. They still have hope, unlike Yes which is a dead horse that continues to be kicked, which is sad…

This is sadly lacking the spiritual energy Yes had
Preferia não ter assistido essa imitação.
В сельском клубе ребята по интереснее играют
“Put your phones away” what a boomer😂This is a fucking concert, not a high school classroom…
Nothing but a Yes tribute band. A lowly, worthless Yes tribute band. These guys are destroying the legacy of the REAL Yes.
Wholeheartedly agree
Steve is too cheap to get Oliver Wakeman to return and Downes can't deal with the complex arrangements .
A pales shell of a band .

God awful Howe you totally have lost it

Yes cover. Poor
Awful
Einfach nur noch furchtbar 😮😢

How can people spend their money on this garbage.
Steve Howe should be ashamed of himself for continuing this charade.
Exactly!!! I wish many more people would call this out for the charade it has been for well over a decade!!!
