If you have an ice pack or something, he’d probably like to lay on it

ice cubes in the water bowl are a great treat for huskies in summer. So is an air conditioned basement.

We keep the air conditioner at 74F. We also have an expensive air filter, ceiling fan, box fan, and humidifier as needed.

@@PhoenixGenesis Oh, I wasn't suggesting you were keeping it too hot. Just what we did 50 years ago when we got huskies. They loved the basements and Mom would put ice cubes out

@@scottwatts3879 Yes, my grandma did the same with our farm dog breeds. I wish I had a basement.

I don't know where you are from, but I can see why Razor wants to be near the fridge. , It's cool there!!! Heatwaves are no fun. By the way Razor is gorgeous, and will become even more beautiful when he gets older.

You can get cool packs to put in the floor for your dogs to go and lay on
We have one for our Springer/cocker as she's very fluffy and gets warm.

Where do you buy the cool packs? Is there a specific brand you recommend?

@@PhoenixGenesis We buy ours from amazon and Furrybaby is the brand. She's not a huge dog but we get the large mat she lays on it and can cool off.
Also a bit of a tip if it's super warm yes they do stay cool for a while be we put them in the fridge for half an hour and take them out they stay cool for a lot longer and my dog seems to appreciate it.

8 weeks old yesterday and since 2 weeks in your family? I think this is VERY young.

Yes, we got him at 6 weeks so I could start to properly build up his lymphatic system and overall health naturally and bond with him.

Buying a Husky when you live in 106 degree weather is asking for trouble. Huskies are built to live in temperatures that drop as low as 75 degrees below zero. You can't really "train" a Husky to get used to a warm climate. Buy him some kiddie pools and cool him off that's the reason he's by the refrigerator. My friend lives in Arizona and he buys his huskies those garage freezers so his doggies can stay cool.

If the huskies are bred locally in warm climates, they adapt as long as they are not shaved as their coat protects them. We do our main walks/runs in the early evenings and early mornings.

@@PhoenixGenesis Yeah he’s still a puppy so training shouldn’t be an issue. Look forward to seeing his journey

@@IrishDrunkGaming My boyfriend Steve and I learned so much from our first husky, Jake, so training should be so much easier with our puppy Razor.

The poor dog needs help cooling down. Those breeds should not be pets in warm places.

That is simply not true, huskys can adapt to warmer temperatures just fine
