Hey Brother! Just finished the Batmobile. You were right in advising to start from the front when joining the top and bottom halves together. That was without a doubt the most difficult part of the build. As always, thanks for the video, and keep 'em comin'! Take care man!
Thanks for the tip on the last important part of putting both halves together, I started with the front small 2 tabs and the rest of the tabs are easy to adjust while it shapes the body! Spent 6 hours to finish this.
just finished mine. it’s super sleek looking, this model along with others where u need to join two main halves,i just cut off or bend some of the tabs in as long as it wont ‘fall apart’
You have the patience of a saint sir. I hate these kits and have told people not to buy them for myself or themselves due to the fact that they are easily broken and not designed very well. That you can get through them and finish is impressive as hell.
It is amazing how dense this model is! Almost feels like a die cast car. I still struggle to get perfectly round smaller parts, like the exhaust. I do have jewelry pliers and a doming tool, but still my biggest flaw. My pliers look identical to yours but every time I try to twist with them, the plier turns around the tab. I need to perfect that or I'll never be able to do my Deadpool and StormTrooper models.
Also for part 17:18 how did you bend the fender attach the tabs with ou snapping it off it broke for me I even had extras from previous packs and they all broke so how can attach it with out it breaking
I got this one just yestarday and started working on it( I just found your video today,). I wish I had found this video sooner because I messed it up soooo bad. Like, I broke one of the wings, put two parts on backwards and half the peices won't touch where they are supposed to except at the connection points. I have currently given up at the moment and am sitting in my room sulking because I'm bipolar and autistic. So I had to leave it before I throw a fit. I just recently picked up metal earth as a hobby, like Christmas recently. The batmobile is my eighth one so far. I really like skiing the metal earth sets but I probably shouldn't have done it today causey today had just been bad overall
We have all made mistakes and broken parts on these models. It is frustrating. Take a break and come at if fresh later. Also, being new to these models, you can contact Metal Earth through their website, They are pretty good about sending replacement parts for free. You can give the model another try!
Have you ever painted any of them? I just found one of these and it’ll be my first build. Once I’m done, I’m thinking of maybe painting it to look even more like the batmobile
I just wanted to comment on this build I just got done the wheels and remember in your video 9:34 you told us you put the parts on backwards well it was the diagrams fault it was drawn wrong just wanted to let you know
I think I've made a huge mistake. I bought this as an impulse buy looking for something to do when I don't have my kids and I'm not at work. I've never done anything like this and it's already frustrating me like crazy. I think I might not have the patience for this thing.
On my instructions, part 3 does not shape into a cone. Part 2 shapes into a sort of half cone. I used a dowel rod sharpened with a pencil sharpener for that. If you are referring to the nose cone on the front of the car (Part 31 on my directions) I also used a sharpened dowel rod to shape that.
I did use a pencil to shape it like a cone but it wouldn't close right for the wheels my wife did the nose for me. When I would shape the wheels half way it looked like it wasn't lined up with the hole
Hey I gave up on building this for a bit I had things break on me I am going start up soon u would think after 4 sets in would have it down but NOOO!!! I bought the effiel tower to make for my neice for her birthday I hope that will go smooth then the batmobile but I will try it again soon my most trouble was the window door everytme I fold it the thing would snap off and also the fenders u attach to the back again snapped off if you have any ideas about the window and the fenders let me know thanks
I have seen one person who painted a few models, but I do not know what paint she used. I have also seen people so a sort of staining to bring out the detail more.
I totally screwed up on this I put the wheels backwards and upside down I am going to rebuild this good thing I have an extra pack I guess that's why they say practice makes perfect and the comment I made the the other day I want to add something I think they should have labeled on the diagram non engraved side if it's not the side it's on

Never realised how much work and patience went into constructing these kits

I just made this as my first metal earth model, it was challenging but I'd totally make it again.

These always break on me. Love this batmobile but never have any luck assembling
I had made this about 3 years ago it was awesome I hadn't gotten to see my dad for a long time so he gave me this as a gift so it was special to me
You helped me a lot. I struggeld with the hood and later with the end of the car. Thank you very much!
Damien Thorne good to hear I helped.
🙏🏾✌🏾🐜God Bless Family🙏🏾✌🏾🐜
Some of my pieces broke, I used metal jewelry glue and was able to keep together. I love this model
I have two models that i havent put together yet, when i do they will be my first ones. my first one is the Sherman Tank and this 89 Batmobile🙃
Also for part 17:18 how did you bend the fender attach the tabs with ou snapping it off it broke for me I even had extras from previous packs and they all broke so how can attach it with out it breaking

I'm going to try this one again, reordering it, messed up a few peices, and couldn't untwist the tabs they just broke, so time two will be better
Good luck the second go round!
I'm doing this along with you but on piece #3 on my instructions it shows the piece being inserted from bottom not the top as piece #2. Help
Thank you so much, you've been a great help
That's good to hear. Thank you.
+animateorange Im still trying to do it alone xD
Kinda wish it was slower so I could follow along but was helpful
You F ucking awesome..
Have you ever painted any of them? I just found one of these and it’ll be my first build. Once I’m done, I’m thinking of maybe painting it to look even more like the batmobile
I have not but I know other people have.
I just wanted to comment on this build I just got done the wheels and remember in your video 9:34 you told us you put the parts on backwards well it was the diagrams fault it was drawn wrong just wanted to let you know
Thank you. That happens from time to time. Things get drawn in a confusing way. I can't remember if I worked it out later or not.

Have you ever thought of painting the models?
well I failed to do the wheels on the batmobile I ordered another kit just for the damn wheels thanks again
I have a question I am on the part 3 and I cant figure out how to wrap the piece in to a cone how did you do it?

I got this one for Christmas this year. can these be painted?
I have seen one person who painted a few models, but I do not know what paint she used. I have also seen people so a sort of staining to bring out the detail more.
I already broke 2 good thing I have extra but I only have 4 left thanks
I totally screwed up on this I put the wheels backwards and upside down I am going to rebuild this good thing I have an extra pack I guess that's why they say practice makes perfect and the comment I made the the other day I want to add something I think they should have labeled on the diagram non engraved side if it's not the side it's on
I actually thought you flatten the tab thingies not twist them
Edit: its much easier to twist them
Those part 54's are terrible!!
Came out awful
