    How do we then find the current if the connection is parallel not series

    • @prayerwatchforNigeria
      @prayerwatchforNigeria Місяць тому

      I think for parallel connection, the total resistance is going to be R1xR2 divided by R1+R2

    (4.9 X 10^-⁷)/(1.64 X 10^-⁷) =2.99 X 10^-⁷--⁷ =2.99 X 10^-⁷+⁷ =2.99 X 10^⁰ 2.99 X 1 = 2.99 ohm metre-¹. You are doing well dear, we know it is a common mistake anyone can make. I love your empirical dexterity, keep it up👍

    Good work!
    But you omitted the internal resistance of the cells.
    E = I(R + r ).

      There is no room for the use of internal resistance.

    Wow thanks..very helpful..
    It seems this manipulation addresses a series connection of the constantan wire and the 2 ohm resistor... What if the connection is different or perhaps i haven't fully understood?

    Well done ma, but is there any specific voltmeter for the practical because there different types of voltmeter

    • @JoynuelPhysics
      @JoynuelPhysics  Місяць тому

      U re welcome.
      0 to 3V Voltmeter is what we are expected to provide. But 0 to 5V voltmeter can serve the same purpose if that is the one you have.

    Weldone ma. This is a very good job.
    I think you did not take into consideration the internal resistance of the cells in your manipulation.

      Yes, l considered it to be negligible.
      But I have done the video for the main practical. Here is the link

      It is very very correct. You can write it as 4.9 X 10^-⁷ or 49 X 10^-⁸. She is correct 👍👍

    Greetings. Please, the result of 49exp-8 all divided 1.64exp-7 should be 2.99 ohm per metre and not 0.299 ohm per metre. Check it, please. Thank you. You are doing well.

    Nice one má. But from my own point of view, you didn't consider the internal resistance of the cell. Maybe I'm wrong

    • @JoynuelPhysics
      @JoynuelPhysics  2 місяці тому

      Thanks so much, it's considered to be negligible here.

    • @herolivesnu
      @herolivesnu Місяць тому

      It is not negligible in the real sense of the practical. Just that they are not marking for accurate answers. Examiner marks the trends. In terms of the trends, I believe she is correct as supported by the theory.
      Those that perform the practical, no manipulation of results, seems to get the opposite of the trend.
      Theory states that as L increases V should also increases

    • @noblemanquakers7274
      @noblemanquakers7274 Місяць тому

      That can be negligible

    • @rsquareokeke524
      @rsquareokeke524 Місяць тому

      There is no compulsory room for the internal resistance.

    • @herolivesnu
      @herolivesnu Місяць тому

      Based on the set up of the NECO real exam question, I am sorry to tell you that your trend is wrong. As the length increases, voltmeter reading decreases. Ensure that you try and see this year NECO SSCE physics practical marking scheme to confirm this.

    I think you made a slight mistake ma. In the calculation of Resistivity/area. The answer is 2.99 and not 0.299
