oh my gosh, were each of those goblins unique from the others?!
39,000 to go until you have a full 40k team
My first thought is no thanks but I'm going to save this comment because it will happen at this rate lol
@@battlebrothersamit’s only a matter of time 😅
Yes
I've got about 2,000 Purple Orks. The hardest part was painting the bases.
Hahaha that could be the concept one hell of a troll video 😂😂😂
Mr Modulork has Death Corps gobbos this month including at least one vehicle. You should check them out if you haven't. This is an awesome project!
Just stick with a pure grotz list. Lore wise, maybe a huge tribe of grotz managed to separate from their masters. With no Orks around, some gobbos would naturally become bigger, due to more infighting. Chuck in a load of Grot tanks and maybe a scrap Stompa and you are well away. Oh and you also need to include Da Red Gobbo.
For me, i found it way easier to digitally kitbash in kychee and use the export model option, I did this when kitbashing civilians. I also found it handy if im doing custom supports especially since lychee doesn't show if the presupports are outside the print area anymore. All that said though i print in 15mm scale and while digitally bashing is amazing, especially for specific poses etc. i just found it very time consuming and potentially not worth it if you prefer more varied poses over monopose. As for bases, i heard a good few people prefer to use FDM for mass scale of printing but i personally like to print 1 in resin as a master so i can mold and cast out of clay since its way cheaper for me. Love the videos and looking forward to more.
Last month Puppetswar did some parts to make Ork Custodes, may be fun to have a mob of those in there for the meme value.
I wanna see some upscaled Gobbos, a bunch of grechin sized up from all the obvious infighting due to the massive number of them in one spot
I think you had a wonderful idea about using a proxy of bigger goblins. BUT you should still print some mega nobz, or killa cans. But do whatever you feel is right.
Also, I noticed on some models you have the circular ringed mold lines on your miniatures. I've been told you can use anti aliasing to completely remove these rings that are made during a print. Have you tried this yet? If you have tried it, what are your thoughts??
uSE shelves of clear plastic and take advantage of all your vertical uv space!!
That's a pretty smart idea brother!!!
What sort of settings do you use for this sort of challenge? Wass just wondering if you had to do anything to counteract the peel forces on such crowded build plates. Another cool video in any case matey
The lift speed was lowered to 40mm and the light off delay was around 5-7 secs
I say we go boys. And glue the arms. It may suck but it's the hobby, ya know?
i use the boolean function of chitubox to attach parts. i only use 3d builder if it assembles them without me doing something.
after i found out about boolean in blender and figured out that chitubox offers it in their premium i havent glued anything other then tanks any longer.
voxel dance tango also has this function but tbh i dont like the slicer.
I honestly didn't know about that! So would boolean in blender be quicker/easier? I have lychee pro but not chitu
You should look into vertically stacking your models 👍
I thought you meant 'Epic' 6-8 mm 😆Do you know anything about OpenScan 3D Scanning?
Ah I didn't think of that when I done the title 😅 I have heard about it through UA-cam videos but haven't looked into it myself
do it all in goblins and proxie all orks with goblins in machines even the war boss . Goblins rock orks look like big dumb gorillas. the other way to do it is to up size some of your golbin prints as proxies
Selfishly I want you to print boyz because I want to know all the creators you will use haha I’m ready to print my ork army but just have not Sat down to get it done
Print ALL the things!
Print EVERYTHING!!!! good to see you brother
You should check out blue sky minis Ork proxy’s. There my go-to for any orks
Oh yes I'm well aware of them and love their sculpts I've printed quite a few of them but don't know if I've featured them on the channel
I wouldn't print my bases in resin, Thats what FDM is for.
Lets GO!!! Get em Geenn Boiz are da Best eva!!!
Dez are da best orkz 😁😁😁
@@battlebrothersam Ha this has a translate to English it says "Ten are from best orkz" I think you typed in German haha
Epic scale? As in 6mm scale?
40£ a bottle! JC it already defeats the saving a bob or two by printing your own instead of buying gw
I find resin bases warp over time
Oh really? Like how long are we talking?
A few months.
Monster printer, awesome minis 😎🤙
Yes
I have alot of their bases along with wargame bases.
Mad lad
The maddest lad of them all it seems
I'm laughing at this comment. It translated to "food let"
I love your content and it looks like you're addicted to making plastic crack lmao
You are one crazy mofo! Hope you are painting them all! ;)
😅 Eventually brother lol
Gork and Mork would be grumbling about having a gobbo identifying ( 🤦♂️🤣) as an Ork. Orks are orks brother.👍😊👍
😂😂 Your right about that but dez gobbos could give any Boyz a run for der money!
Ork iz ork, you iz mukkin about. (Cool concept nevertheless).
Orkz muck about da best boss
[❓ ] Can Resin Prints ( esp. *Supports* & *_"FAILS"_* ) be *❔♻RECYCLED♻❔* ( if *_not,_* that is a Huge problem for the Environment, since Resin is so very Toxic....in both solid & liquid forms )
why dont you just do a mix
must be nice to get it all for free, to keep costs low i just recaste by hand , it takes a little longer but you get better quality results and at a price much, much lower than these 3D printers
Hey Sam, if you want to redo the convo I am happy to have another chat
Love this content!!! 3D printers go brrrrr
I can't justify printing bases, for the time and cost and effort, they are pennies from overseas suppliers so I go with that.
I would normally agree with you hence why I used to buy them in but being able to print bases that match throughout the whole army has been worth it for me
@@battlebrothersam that is fair, and I guess doing custom bases from scratch does take some time
Curing is an interesting subject because there is not a lot of study on the subject. Personally I've cured for 15 min no problem and the models seem to be tougher. Who knows.
That is interesting because when I started all I read was not to overcure or they can be fragile but then your example and others means that it must have to be a very long time for that to happen
@@battlebrothersam I read an academic paper a long time ago on the subject so they exist. Their studies show that anything under 30 min didn't make much difference. Strength went up past 30 but also do did brittleness. So there must be a balance.
Tell you what Sam, I bloody love your videos.
Thank you brother!!
Use normal mezgik orks. 😂
I did think about that but then seen the bigger grots lol
The Thousand Orcs... just like the title of the Drizzt Do'Urden novel.
Hey BB Sam, im looking to get a printer, but im not sure what to do. The mega 8k s is amazing but costs $1700 aud roughly compared to the saturn 4 coming out soon, which is about $650 aud. Besides the build plate, everything seems getter on the saturn 4 which is 40% the cost 9f the mega 8k s.
Well this issues with the texture, sometimes is better for you instead of using the merging, export the model as STL(it's going to do an automatic merge) and than fix the errors and see it there is distortion on the texture. It normally works for me and I do tons of digital kitbashing there as well. Normally what I do is save the 3mf as well as STL. If I need to do more posing or other things it's easier to have some 3mf files as well as STLs.
Excellent advice brother I will try it the next time
7:35... wtf did he just say?! Stay there Sam the inquisition is on the way!
the Gobloyz sound pretty cool imo
Now paint them
