Loving this series, I think you should keep it and make it like your old one. You always mention that car in lots of your videos and given that one’s no longer alive, you might as well make this one the one you always wanted, might not get another chance 👍
love these absolute tanks hit a deer in mine didn't even leave a mark. The engine is nice and smooth but wish people wouldn't call it a 2jz when it isn't a proper one
My Dad took his 98 GS300 well into 300,000 miles before he upgraded to a GS350. He had the VSC light and the first assumption was the abs/speed sensor (thankfully it wasn't, they're expensive). Came to find out it was the tone ring on the axel that the sensor reads was too worn down (harsh salty winter roads and old parts). Didn't have to replace sensors, replaced rear axles and it solved the VSC / ABS issue.
MAKE A CRAZY POWERFUL SLEEPER. I would love to see the car being unnoticed, but very powerful. I think it suits it perfectly. Just a thought. Love these vids mate, keep it up.
That’s too nice keep it stock\oem+ slap a turbo on it at most! I’d love to see a dyno on it to see how many horses it’s lost? And maybe even take it to Lexus main dealer and see ‘what needs doing’
These type of cars always come up in your conversation in your videos. They are a real soft spot for you. Why not make this one cool you’ve got a good start point with this one as the mot shows
That light on dashboard means "Tail or Stop Light Out indicator". Could be great to know if the had canbus system at that time and previous owner might replaced but with a wrong one. So even if it is working properly the car sees is faulty.
Hi Jamie been a long time subscriber and I own a SAAB that you did a vid on a while back, you convinced me that they are good cars and been a total fan of it since and been completely converted, with the Lexus GS300 I personally like the idea of getting the advisories completed first with maybe a full service, then to do maybe a dyno because the service will ensure the health is kept in good shape, Then try get the sponsors to sponsor your build and I would love to see the transformation, I think a good black or popping blue colour would be nice to see the car in, I hope you get the sponsors and the car you always wanted out of it, As I know I'm gonna gradually build my SAAB into something I love more then i do know and I'm in love with its 2.0T sport B207 engine, Such a underated pocket rocket, Thrills me everytime I want one.
I would say clean it up so she's back to her best then a lowering kit with some spacers to give it a bit more presence. Then maybe a backbox delete to make it a little louder and then... well, take it from there.
I have one of these, I wanted to lower it and put rims on it, however, it's so original and drives so nice that I can't bring myself to do it. I don't want to ruin it, just make it nice and enjoy I'd say.. great car ... peace
Keep it, dyno it would be interesting to see how much power it’s lost in its life time then wheel and a clean up, although a wide arch body kit would look sick👌🏻
The phone holder looks like it could be for an old school Nokia 5110 that phone has what looks like the same kind of port on the rear top not sure what it's for but if you look into it you should find out but I'm 99 % sure it's for that phone mate
I could see this being a traveling show car. Something that you could travel long distances on road trips to go film content with and still look good doing it. Think of it as an investment for the channel. Not to mention you have a lot space to throw luggage and camera gear in the boot. Honestly would leave it N/A just clean up the engine bay(easier on the old wallet), do engine refresh, add sensors paired with a aftermarket ECU eg. Link or Haltech (to increase the efficacy + add better fail safes), manual swap it...??, swap to an LSD (even power distribution and good for loss surfaces or snow) , a set of aluminum or stainless steel headers & exhaust (don't have to worry about rust in future), a nice set of wheels, coil overs, a lip kit (nice alternative to a body kit) and perhaps some other suspension bits to dial in the fitment and drivability. As for the interior have fun with it. Hope this helping you decide on what to do. Best of luck :)
First mod , ofcourse Turbocharge it, you have a fckn 2J dude ofcourse first the engine and shocks. Than brakes + widebody. Paint comes last, before paint know what you want to do with the body. But first a decent manifold turbo kit, cooking and exhaust. Make it 500hp beast and cosmetics only after that.
Just shows how well built the jap cars are!…personally would like you to keep it and do a proper series/build on it to how you want it, wheels, coil-overs, sort the minor bodywork out, wrap it, exhaust and just enjoy it and take it on some big trips and adventures and possibly down the line slap a turbo on just like you are with the caddy! Make it into the car you’ve always wanted👊🏼
its warming up... settles after a couple of minutes. Other light is a blown bulb

Clean it up, get it mint. Keep it stock and do some road trips!
I 2nd this 🤙😎
Definitely man these cars are great I got a 99 Lexus GS300. Never gave me no problems and very comfortable and reliable 💯

It’s great to see Jamie passionate and I hope he builds it with sponsors.
I agree with Wilson, get it as clean as possible refurb the wheels and a road trip.
Definitely a new set of alloys and coilovers. Perhaps an exhaust and a Dyno to see how many horses it's lost from new!
MAKE A CRAZY POWERFUL SLEEPER. I would love to see the car being unnoticed, but very powerful. I think it suits it perfectly. Just a thought. Love these vids mate, keep it up.
Love to see it turboed, slammed and nice wide wheels
keep it standard but make it into an awesome sleeper. brakes, engine , and suspension, good detail sorted.
i reckon do what you want tbf cuz we love seeing you enthusiastic about it, i say V.I.P it 👌
That’s too nice keep it stock\oem+ slap a turbo on it at most! I’d love to see a dyno on it to see how many horses it’s lost? And maybe even take it to Lexus main dealer and see ‘what needs doing’

Nice GS Budget build. Clean her up. then wheels, coil overs, exhaust. Later a turbo converion/tune. End up with a VIP JDM style maybe?
Yes, I think that would be an awesome route to go
I think you should keep it and make it into the Vision you always wanted to go with your old one and it's so good to see you so buzzing about his car
Check whether any of the rear light bulbs are led bulbs. If there are led bulbs it will give that warning light as well.
You need a Nokia 6310i to make your Gs300 phone kit work 👌🏻
Thanks mate
If it needs tyres then wheels and tyres and a little lowering before tracking. Then make clean and you have a cool family cruiser for the summer
Good reliable cars I own a 53 gs430 sport not many left now 👍
Check the ball joints, check the wobble, get wased and professional detailed and go with coilovers.
That's all
Cool video and wicked GS300 always wanted one, lower it with some coil overs and some cool wheels.

if the battery is low i read that gives you all sorts of warnings on the gs300. check the battery

You've spoken how about how much you love these cars, maybe time to build your dream one?
I have one of these, I wanted to lower it and put rims on it, however, it's so original and drives so nice that I can't bring myself to do it. I don't want to ruin it, just make it nice and enjoy I'd say.. great car ... peace
Clean the bodywork up,nice wheels, tints and a turbo
Full detail first, get it up on a ramp and let's have a look underneath @198k see what its like
I'd do what you said to it. First tidy it up and bring her back to glory. Then go full tilt and make it the GS you want
Love it man ❤ personally id love to see it VIP Spec
The phone that goes in the phone holder is a Nokia 5110 mate
Budget build for sure! Make it fun!
Answer to question :- wheels coil overs would look smart :) great suff :)
Subtle mods - wheels, coil overs, nice wrap, then roadtrip. Hit up some meets with AdamC or something 👍
Would love to see this be 1000bhp but in all honesty just clean it up and make it mint and road trips.
I think you should do the vip look with it they do look soo good when in vip spec
Mad exhaust, turbo big powa and sideways
Keep it, dyno it would be interesting to see how much power it’s lost in its life time then wheel and a clean up, although a wide arch body kit would look sick👌🏻
In California, we call this a "hot smog". Funny to think some British guy is trying to dodge smog with their straight pipe LMAO.
14:07 vip build black out murder look slammed big wheels
Rolling Road and engine, brake upgrade and wheels

Keep as standard, maybe Stage 1 remap if that is possible.

Definitely not an investment that's bold lols
That’s pretty much what my last one was, it took the brunt of the travelling for the channel. We shall see mate!
I think he meant investment, as in low price car to create work in, not a physical investment asset
What do we want to see? All of the above. Everything you wanna do. Do. Simples 👊🏻
the phone holder for like a nokia 50 or 60 series ie 5110 or 6310
First mod , ofcourse Turbocharge it, you have a fckn 2J dude ofcourse first the engine and shocks. Than brakes + widebody. Paint comes last, before paint know what you want to do with the body.
