Any time the turn signals are funky check the grounds of the housings. A bad ground in once circuit can cause power to seek ground through the dual filament bulb to an alternate ground location. The turn signal switch may just be part of that alternate path.

Hi Uncle Buck, good video! I have several of these tool(s) by a different brand. For your information, these unit(s) are actually automotive digital logic probes. They have had electronics/computer digital logic probes for years. When used for automotive/marine/motorcycle/lawn equipment and so on, when used for DC (direct current) 12V VREF (12 volt vehicle reference voltage) they will indicate the voltage on the display and produce a audible "chirp" noise. The one(s) the I have, will work with DC 5V VREF, for systems such as; PCM, ABS and so on, but in the mean time, the one(s) that I have will not "chirp" at 5V, but they will accurately display the voltage. I have found out the HARD WAY quite a few times, that digital test equipment may not indicate a intermittent "open circuit" when performing a wiggle test because digital may not respond or indicate quickly enough. It is good to keep an old style test light and an analog volt/ohm meter on hand. I am a retired 64 year old ASE Master Certified Automotive Technician and I worked at several car dealerships. The last job I had, was not repairing, but scanning all the control modules on vehicles that came into automotive body shops in regards to producing a report to the body shop and the insurance company. The company I worked for wanted my scan reports to be perfect. A bad component is a; "faulty" component. A broken wire is a; "open" circuit, and never a "short" circuit. A closed circuit is a "functioning" circuit. A short circuit is a circuit that is closed, but; chafed to ground and/or hot. A wire which has too much resistance is a closed "faulty" circuit. Please reply. Dave...

@@unclebucksgarage7695 I hope that I was helpful! I see an enormous amount of automotive logic probe and logic probe troubleshooting kits marketed. It keeps growing and the cost of these logic probe(s) keeps dwindling. Dave...
