I just happen to come across this video, but you my friend made a great complete video and I will be using this process this summer. Thank You for the great video sir !!! Why work hard, when you can work smart and still get the same accomplished ?? Abner, you are the man !!!!
Thank you sir!!! Never heard of this product but after seeing it I am on the lookout. I usually have to repair or replace fence posts 3-4 times every year due to storms. This would make it easier
If you want easy, just hold the post plumb then fill the hole up with dry quick-crete. Might not work in Arizona, but if you have any moisture at all in the soil, it will be drawn in and set the. And if you're wondering, the mix, itself, does not compress, so it holds the post steady until it sets up, probably better than wet concrete.
Amazing that at his age he can still do this type of work, bravo Sir. I've used a similar method when in my 20 or 30's, at 66 I tend to forget how long ago it was. My method was best used with 2 people, but many times I had to go it alone. Same principle except I used a 4 ft square sheet of plastic, poured mix and water in center. Then each man takes two corners and starts flipping it to the cross side corner switching corners/hands each time. Takes about 4 or 6 quick flips and you are done. Great method inside or outside home.
86 years old and you’re still active and look like you’re 50. Good on you man, you look great for your age and still get out and do the things you need to do. I wish you an even happier longer life than you’ve lived so far!
This inspires me to keep on doing projects that most think I am not capable of at my age. Great technique. Sounds like you really know your stuff anyway.
The principle is genius... But isn't the water the chart on the bag recommended awfully high? My grandpa always taught me to get strong concrete you used as little water as you could to get more of a paste rather than a soup...
After mixing concrete for years by mixing machine, wheelbarrow, & even in paint buckets,I have to say that was impressive. If you've ever played the ring around-the- rosi, back & forth trying to get enough dry cement mixed to wet in a wheelbarrow, you have no choice but to be at awe, with this video.
Absolutely. Sounds crazy but two guys mixing with two of these bags for smaller projects probably beats hoeing a wheelbarrow 50 times to mix a bag of two
Good method if cleanliness is an issue and far easier than mixing in the wheelbarrow - however, easiest method is mixing up with a shovel on solid ground. Best thing is seeing a fit man in his 80s grafting like a 20 year old!

Don't take it the wrong way please, but there is just something endearing about an older black gentleman. Great idea about the mixing.
Much respect to you sir, thank you. You've shown me a product that will help me finish a project with less labor and working with that kind of weight isn't easy. Bad back is not fun and you have inspired me to complete a job i've been dreading. Thank you
Abner Rocks! I want to be just like him when I grow up- Smart and helping people even at age 86- WOW! I never knew about this product but will look into when I do driveway repairs this summer. Thanks Abner!
Thank you abner you made contributions on a DIY method of mixing a premixed sand and cement and presto ready mixed concrete ready to be poured at a projected site for concreting.
86! this guy is awesome!
You, sir, need your own UA-cam channel. I'd watch anything you'd post. Thank you!
Me too.

super old man..that's why I like old people
You like old people because you haven't met some of my relatives.
I'm 76 and I'm learning something new every day. thanks man.
Abner is a true man! ❤️😎👌
I like this fella ( respectfully Mr. Abner). It's good to know we still have real people like him doing what they do.
Great video. What a guy. My dad is 91 and he still mixes concrete around the home place.
As he taped the bag up I was half expecting him to pick it up and swing it round.
Only half expecting? I figured he was gonna swing it like a gold medalist, lol
True, but the first to bring up race are usually racist - or trolls.
dlucas90 Only the good ones are.........
I seriously thought he was going to walk on it.

Really? where the heck did THAT come from?? you can't get more original than that?!?
They dont make them like they used to. This man is an inspiration, no complaining no crying about current events just living life as a human should.
His hands and watch, stature, style and words remind me fondly of my grandpa Sotero Soto ❤️ Thank you, sir for your instructions
Abner Washington is the man!!! He needs to have his own UA-cam channel!!!
Abner is one cool man.
well God bless you sir...still getting things done at 86...
Wonderful! That was really quite fast, and the concrete didn't stick to the bag. If he could do it at 86, I should be able to do it at 67.
Dang man, I’m 27 and I don’t know how to mix concrete yet. This video helped me, as I’m starting my new construction training next week! Thank you uncle Abner! 😇
It's really not that hard, just add water slowly when you're starting out and you'll find the right mix.
@@theviolator1074 or just read the instructions on the bag.
About half way in I realized this wasn't a joke.
I just happen to come across this video, but you my friend made a great complete video and I will be using this process this summer. Thank You for the great video sir !!! Why work hard, when you can work smart and still get the same accomplished ?? Abner, you are the man !!!!
Did this process work for you?
Well done Abner, thanks for posting.
I have no use for this bag on my job sites, but I have watched this video dozens of times. Very relaxing
Thank the stars we still have these treasures of knowledge on here. Thank you for the lesson dear sir.
So glad I stumbled on this. I didn't know how I was going to mix the concrete without making a complete mess and inhaling that dust. You've saved me.
A true, 80s feeling commercial. Absolutely love it. Mr. Abner? You are loved!
👀you still kickin ?
Abner, I hope I'm doing as well as you are when I'm 86... if I make it to 86. That is a slick way to mix concrete, thanks for the tip.
I'm a builder and this is freaking genius for hard areas to work in. wow
Absolutely. Sounds crazy but two guys mixing with two of these bags for smaller projects probably beats hoeing a wheelbarrow 50 times to mix a bag of two
11 years later and I pray this great old man is still kicking!
Same I just discovered this gem
Hats off to you Abner for a great video to simplify what can be a painful, dreaded process. Thank you for the great ice and your inspiration.
Mixing concrete by hand at 86. You've got the thumbs up and a subscription from me mate....well done
Mr. Washinton, you did yourself proud! Keep Working !
Looking strong for 86 years my man . hope i last as well
Thanks, Abner! Hope you're still happy and healthy.
God bless him! If only I could move around like that
Good method if cleanliness is an issue and far easier than mixing in the wheelbarrow - however, easiest method is mixing up with a shovel on solid ground. Best thing is seeing a fit man in his 80s grafting like a 20 year old!
Good one Abner.Hope i can do that at 86
Thanks Abner.
He just saved my back from the excruciating pain of rebuilt patio!! Thank you sir
Salt of the Earth...thanks Abner
Who out there would not love to have Abner for a neighbor. I bet I could just sit with him with my Big K Diet Cola, (since Pepsi ruined Diet Pepsi) and listen to him tell stories for days.
Tolohtony Shit , he is my neighbor......you can have him !
Johnny Ha! I can imagine he might get old after awhile, I guess.
i absolutely love this guy... he's just freakin' awesome... amen to your hat my friend i'm a big flag person myself --
i'm 50 and i pray i'm in that good of shape at his age. and what a great idea... we will be putting in a garden rail for my wife in the spring we need to mix a lot of concrete for the back yard she loves this bag idea.
make more videos Abner you simply rock at it
Thank you, Sir!
I am a fifty year old woman and won’t have to ask my hubby anymore for help doing little tasks around the house that require concrete!
I never knew it could be so simple!
OH Mr Abner--thank you so much. I join others here in praying you're still doing well.
