I love the magnifying glass. Seems like it will be really helpful while doing hvac, appliance repairs, etc. where there might be small print spec plates and things like that.
Wonder what the actual voltage output is? USB normally runs at 5v and usb c just ups the amp output, if this is lower than 5v what will the long term impact be on devices you charge at a lower voltage?
👍👍I have some Ry-o-bee cordless tools. Even a working 14.4v drill without a battery, I done a little modification to it so I can use a 18v 1.5Ah battery. I use the drill to drill pilot holes in wood. Those new additions I don’t need, but I hope they’ll come out with a 12v line of tools. P.S. I’m a Ry-o-bee Rebel because I pronounce it correctly🙂. Also I have a Granddaughter who’s middle name is Rebel. Keep tooling on.
Many cordless ratchets are pretty much "bolt runners" they lack the necessary torque anyway. Snap On and Milwaukee make slimmer designs for the industrial jobs, but I see a place for these and they aren't that expensive these will be very popular ratchets.
That's going to depend a lot on if they suffer the same issue as some of the others. Wherein you run the bolt doen and then try to manually tighten the rest of the way and the internals break under pressure. If I have to keep swapping back and forth between one of these and a real ratchet - just to keep these from breaking - I'll just stick with the real one.
Maybe the battery to charge my iPhone and the magnifying LED glass I could use, but that’s about it. I was hoping to see some more power tools and/or better batteries at a better price for the tools I already own! All my battery operated tools are Ryobi!
Ratchets look like awesome little tools though price is a bit nuts--$70! You can get the base/brushed ONE+ ratchet for that. (And let's not even talk about Hyper Tough.) Yeah the USB tool comes with the battery but it's just a single-cell battery anyway. I've been saying for a long time now--they need to make these things as bare tools as well, with lower prices. Either that or a bundle with multiple tools and like one or two batteries in a kit. The other problem is the USB Lithium line barely seems to go on sale or have any promos/deals, so reg. price is mostly what you're paying for them. At $70 USD I think will be a tough sell.
Not as essential as it is with the large battery footprint on the 18v ratchets, but for $70 it does seem like a nice convenient feature that should be there.
Long time bike rider here long time home mech. Bicycle bolts are usually pretty small and aluminum. I would worry about stripping threads with that ratchet. But if you have any limitations and this helps you with tasks I say go for it.
When they started this new 4 volt line, I was expecting them to come out with things like laser levels, multi-meters, etc. You know, things that are useful to both homeownere wnd tradesmen - since that's the direction they claim to be moving. $70 bicycle "bolt runners?" Yeah, right. There isn't anything on a bicycle that has a long enough bolt to justify the "time savings" of that. Anyone in the trades who is looking for a more compact ratchet is looking at a 12 volt Milwaukee over these two, unless by some miracle, these ones _don't_ crack under pressure when manually tightening down bolts (I have my doubts).
I'm waiting for a 4 volt riding lawn mower.
Waiting for a 4 volt Ryobi string trimmer.
Hopefully it's a hybrid where you can run it while plugged into a cellphone charger 🙏
Yes
It only needs 600 4v batteries
I love the magnifying glass. Seems like it will be really helpful while doing hvac, appliance repairs, etc. where there might be small print spec plates and things like that.
Woooohooo!!! That was such an oversight on the first battery that you couldn't use it to charge a phone. Glad to see this has been remedied!
I'm loving all of it, but especially the magnifying glass as it's getting more difficult for me to see all the wiring diagrams in the field.
Jesus Christ bless you with the miracle Jesus Christ most definitely give you spiritual eye spiritual insights
thanks for the demo and info, have a great day
Oh man, I was hoping that magnifier was gonna be a mosquito zapper.

yes ry-o-bee not ree-oh-bee
It’s ree-obi, that’s what the company’s reps say in every promotional video.
Love my Ryobi Rebels!😊

when are the light and the magnifier coming out?

I totally agree with you my friend. To much $$$.
🇺🇸
Almost m12 ratchet price.
I’m waiting for a 4v slim bar folding work light.
Heck yeah!!!
I thought that 1/4" was smaller. My M12 3/8 isn't much bigger.
It's probably not necessary on the 4v ratchet but I wish they had the same rotating head the 18v ratchets have
My 3/8 has a rotating head

what is the charge time for that battery ?
I am a Ryobi fan but none of these tools make me want to go out and buy one as soon as they hit the market.
Agree. Tbh none of their most recent products have intrigued me
I’m looking forward to the 3/8” ratchet.
I am surprised they keep releasing new stuff. It makes the Milwaukee stuff rather pointless imo
Lifetime warranty on Milwaukee so that's better for professionals who use their tools hourly.
Does the laser light have a…laser???
It looks like it does, there's a small nub at the top of the light.
That looks like a Lazer to me.

No way it will have any power at all
It's not soposed to. It's for running nuts or bolts. Get an impact drill or regular impact for that.
Good video, thank you
