I've been banging this for several years, and it's so good, I came over here to see if it was on. Of course it is, what isn't on youtube, right? I'd heard this from a distance in a street festival in LA (Silverlake to be exact) from a DJ in front of the Vice Magazine shop, and I think it changed my life FOREVER. I just stood there and my friends left me standing there like I was unable to move off with them. They knew, this song/remix just hit me. Ever since, I've played it on rooftops and changed lives...trust me, people who don't even listen to drum n' bass asked, "WHAT WAS THAT SONG..." like they'd just seen Spiderman scale across the skies!
when that band ‘U2’ established a hefty bank balance after raking millions, they pushed some ca$h towards an Irish ‘up and coming talented, homegrown, musician fund, & Dominick ‘Calibre’ Martin was one of their first, if not the first kid they plucked and pushed into a state of the art studio.
Hands down without a shadow of a doubt one of my all time favourite DnB anthems owed entirely to the mighty and magnanimous CALIBRE added So much Soul feels like it can inspire U2do anything. Hands down without a shadow of a doubt...1BILLION !!! Times better than the Original RnB song.
Apparently, Jaheim really didn't like this remix, that's the reason it never came to see the light of day and remained on white label only. What a fool...
Some people can’t appreciate dnb but with tunes like this and others just shows dnb has lots of sub genres such as this liquid funk! Check out Blu Mar Ten “Somewhere”
It's actually Warner (WB). Story goes that Calibre was asked to do a remix for Jaheim by Warner and he came up with this beauty. Everyone loved it except for Jaheim, but it was distributed it as a white label under the table with permission from Warner. One run of 1,000 or so copies and no more, until Fabio put the tune on a compilation album recently. I also found old forum posts hyping up the underground release which show that this was a partnership between Soul:R and Warner.
Yes I found it! My mother found this in her playlist & she hated it. She was like what's this, delete it! it isn't the original! Now I can play this and annoy her with it lol.
dont ever do this shit again what the fuck is wrong with you, the rule is classic music is not to be messed with and you took one of the classic songs and made it crap, smack yourself please
Who exactly are you talking to right now? You do know that Calibre isn't the one who uploaded this on UA-cam, right? And i'm going to ask you the same thing: what the fuck is wrong with you? Just because you don't like this remix doesn't mean it's crap and that it shouldn't have happened. If you really don't like this then there's a simple solution: don't listen to it.
I don't see why people always have to argue over original vs remixes all the time, it's possible to like/appreciate both you know? I hate it when people slate an original too, you should at least appreciate the original because without it, there would be no glorious remix for you to listen too. Music is supposed to unite people but UA-cam seems to do the opposite.
Love it when youtube randomly suggests this song to get it on my radar again!

It's actually Warner (WB).

Yes Cu
z the remix can never capture the soul of a song
Elliot Fernandez And they don't necessarily have to either.
