I am very disappointed the Writer seemed to forget Queen Serenity later on in the Series. I loved how she communicated with Serena when she needed her.
I know that I'm many maaany years late to the party, but this old amv made me think. I think that if Usagi ever actually realised some of the implications of her particular path in life she would be sure to savour every second spent with her family and friends, every otherwise boring conversation about something trivial, every annoying inconvenience, every time her Mam... her 'Okan' chewed her out for something she did, as if they were the most precious thing in the universe. Because those moments won't last. One of the unfortunate facts about being a senshi that I don't think is ever touched on in the series is that while the future Neo Queen Serenity and co are all functionally immortal demigods destined to live and watch over humanity for thousands of years, her mother Ikuko, her father Kenji, her little brother Shingo, and her school friends Naru and Gurio, that small handful of people who knew and loved her in that brief moment when she was just another ordinary girl... won't. Eventually she will suffer the grief of having to say goodbye to each and every one of them, and from there on out all she will have left of not just her family and friends but of that one moment in her life when she was just that girl Usagi, who's only unusual feature was that she was "just a little clumsy and a bit of a crybaby", will be her memories. And while all of us must eventually suffer the fate of saying goodbye to our loved ones, at least we only suffer the pain of wishing to have one more moment with them again for another few decades at most. She will suffer that gnawing pain for thousands of years. How many trillions of times will she look back on that morning when her mother called out to her that she'd slept in past eight o'clock, and that she'd had lunch ready for her on her way out, and wished she's stayed just a moment longer? Plus she's already lost one mother before the series even started. Plus at some point before that they're going to notice that she's not ageing beyond her 20s, which is going to be an interesting conversation, after which they'll still love her but we all know it won't be quite the same as when they knew her as just clumsy-crybaby-sleep-in-until-past-eight Usagi. Of course she still has Mamoru and the other senshi, and a daughter of her own to love, all of which love her back, so it's certainly not the worst fate, but I like to think that she would go out of her way to do things that would purposefully involve her non-demigod family members while they were there, intentionally failing a test here, being an annoying older sister there... pretending to sleep in until past eight to relive that last morning... just to remember those times when they'd pull her back into line like they would with any family member of any normal human family. Those brief but priceless few moments would be all too few in the long millennia ahead, but they would be enough.
Damn, this is just. . . .its really good. Man I haven't seen this video, song and sailor moon in such a long time. You know, I think I'm gonna watch sailor moon again. I really don't remember any of it. But watching this video, which you did such a amazing and wonderful job doing it, just brought those feelings again. I love it!! Please make more like this one.

I’ve never noticed that Ikuko’s hair was in the wrong color. In the manga, her hair was brown. And that makes more sense because that brown is closer to Usagi’s hair color.
