Loved this series. Edward Mulhare was a classically trained actor who knew his craft and Hope Lange was just a lovely soft woman who made acting look easy . The attraction was well played, no tonsil licking, no nudity, just a presentation of two souls who found something in each other that satisfied that inner longing to know and be known. I do think at times there was more than acting by Mulhare, a longing for something not found in life and it served him well in this series. The original movie was a bit different but in the end, in the scheme of the movie they were together after she died on a ripe old age. I guess it is homage to real love beyond just physical something modern generations have abandoned in favor of quick gratification and lack of the discipline needed to have a real relationship. . Loved the series was happy to find it again.
Loved the series, should have been longer then 2 years. What I have read is that he was single and she was in the middle of a divorce. I think they did have a brief affair. But we'll never know.
Could you do a Ghost and Mrs. Muir vid to Coldplay's "Something Just Like This?" The lyrics would work for a ghost and a lady. :) Also, one where they had a baby? We've got an episode with one. *g*
My vidding muse has been on an extended vacation lately. But I will listen to the song and if it inspires me, I will put it on my list of songs to vid one day. No promises, tho.
Picturamadojo. The only episode with the baby was the one where the captain gave everyone a dream for Christmas & sadly it's the only one where they kiss...
I recently purchased what was supposed to be all 50 episodes of this show. I have been watching your fanvids and I have found several scenes that I do not recognize. Are there episodes that did not air or do you have deleted scenes that you use in these videos?
Hi! I know there is a person on Amazon who will make a dvd on-demand, but I have never seen that set. There is an official DVD set from Australia (the only official one at the moment), but it is Region 4. I do know that when this show aired on the FX network, some scenes were cut to fit into the 30 minute time slot. So if your copies have the FX stamp in the lower right corner, you might be missing some scenes. I use the full episodes (mostly from the Australian dvds) for my vids. When the show aired on Nickelodeon in Australia, they aired the uncut episodes. There is a channel here on youtube that has what I think are the Australian DVD copies of the 1st season. You can find them here ... ua-cam.com/channels/SnWha7zeD4dxShRD3Y2mGg.html The best versions of Season 2 on youtube can be found here ... ua-cam.com/channels/FLHA_R7Vz2E4RlBJx2_a-g.html (look for the ones that were uploaded 2 years ago or earlier - the ones uploaded 4 years ago are not complete) And be sure to check out the uncut pilot episode on my channel. Someone had found a copy of it on film and edited back together with the original pilot. That episodes has scenes that NEVER made it to the air in any form! Also, if you live in the US, GetTV is currently airing GAMM every weekday morning. It is one of those sub-channels that you can get with an antenna if one of your local stations is broadcasting it as an affiliate. And some cable providers also carry the channel. And the episodes they are airing are all complete. Hope this answered your questions.
The set of dvds I got from EBay was taken from Nick at Night. I think whoever is creating that set has the uncut versions. They did a good job, maybe I need to watch them all again. I did find your extended pilot video. Thank you for doing that. It is nice to see the extra footage. GetTV is what brought me back to this show. I have an outdoor antennae (I refuse to pay the price for cable or satellite) and when on vacation I found the show. Thanks for uploading this stuff, It is a pleasure to see this show again. Thanks for the information.
Great that you have GetTV in your city! I have it in mine, too and even tho I have all the episodes on my computer, I love to watch it as it's airing. Makes me feel connected to the community in some way. Speaking of community, there is a GAMM discussion board on yahoo if you are interested. Here's the link in case you want to look into it ... groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/gamm/info Oh, and rewatching episodes is never a bad idea ;)
I appreciate it. I've whittled it down to 2 scenes. I'm still going back through all of the episodes to try to figure out where they are. If I can't find it, I'll let you know.
This was such a romantic show! Fifty years later i still think Edward Mulhare is the most handsome man and Captain Gregg irresistible.

Well said!
I totally agree.
I couldn’t agree with you more. And what you said about Hope Lange is true: she possessed such a lovableness and radiated warmth.
A beautiful and wonderful song. Fits the ghost and mrs muir
Thank you!
Excellent song for this wonderful couple. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you!

Definitely wish the series had lasted longer. Thank goodness for fanfiction writers, tho!

The baby was from the Christmas episode where a baby was put in Claymore’s car by mistake.

BTW, if there is a specific scene you have a question about, let me know. I'll do my best to tell you what episode I got the clip from.
