This has been the most helpful video in this regard. A thousand thanks!
Wow, clearest instruction I've ever seen. Great channel.
Excellent video! Very helpful, thanks!
Was Very Helpful, THANK YOU Canon!
Thank you for making this soooooooo easy to understand!!
Thank you...This was soooo helpful!
Super helpful! A big thank you!
Thank you - very helpful!
There is no way I will remember all these steps every time I need to scan. I added the IJ Scan Utility to my taskbar for quick access. The video was quite helpful in figuring out how to scan with this printer/scanner.
Thank you!
Just purchased the canon pixma iip8700 series. Do I have to purchase software to scan and fax?
on my old printer, i could scan in seconds - all from the menu on the printer - not have to open software on the computer. :(
I agree. I miss that feature. It would automatically pop up the software. Did you find a way in Settings to change this back somehow?
@@shashikamboj1519 nope. 😆
And when I command from computer I get a photo.
Can you please tell me if I can scan documents on my CANON PIXMA IP2772?
Huzzar... it works!
I try to scan but when I click scan it says cannot communicate with scanner but when I check it the printer is working properly. I'm using Canon MG25040
When scanning a document I do not want to use Adobe because I want to change the document without paying a monthly fee. Can anyone tell me how to cut out Adobe when scanning with Canon Pixma printer? Thanks
Horrific instructions on how to install that ij package shite :)
And scanning wirelessly?
Canon iP2700 series?
This doesn't work for my Pixma model??
But how can I scan another page from the scanner? My computer is in a different room!
Well its all good. But i want to scan docs to computer as word.doc with as few clicks and retyping as possible. When i try to enter the file referenece on the document scan settings there is a defefault setting IMG when i delete this and enter my ref the printer default date still appear or scambles my ref . Al this is irritating and time consuming. I can scan a doc to nitro plus 10 pdf to word converter then one click to save then one click to converter to word and its all save to the computer in the word folder. But then the canon default file setting reference interference makes it messy and involves unnecessary fiddly time-consuming retypying. If Canon could get this one little tiny fault corrected it would make it all a lot more easier and intelligent.
Have overcome this in settings. Open with any Application - Windows Explorer .
Send to an Application - Nitro Pro 10.
Send to a Folder - folder of choice.
The filing reference that I give the scanned page is then the first in the ref tab with the canon ref at the end which I can ignore .
My mistake was in settings having Nitro as the open application and windows explorer as the send to application
So it was just a matter of switching my settings
So it's great machine 😅
This does not work with TR4722. I have a scanner/copier/printer that makes copies and prints test pages. Save your money, folks.
I'm taking this printer back this is just to complicated!!
Sorry to hear you're having problems - if you let us know which country you're in we'll be able to connect you with your local support team.
Looking to see if I can return the TR8620, too complicated, cant get the utility to open in Windows 11, no support available. You guys make a nice camera but leave the scanners and printers to people who know how to make them. Massive waste of time.
Hi Harold - sorry you're having a frustrating time. If you let us know which country you're in we'll be able to connect you with your local support team 👍
IJ scanning software is not supported on the PIXMA G4511! Scanning is a nightmare, the printer is a time wasting work prevention device. It's not a patch on my old MX925. The only useful feature it appears to have is the ink tanks as opposed cartridges. It's a cheap looking, clunky load of crap, wish I'd never seen it! Don't know how Canon can put their name to such junk! :-(
What about android with a usb
Hi! The best place to find out more about this is at our support hub - try this: canon.sm/499Bq7n. Let us know how you get on!
All that just to scan something. LOL.
shame of canon, cant use the scaner if the ink is empty. I WILL NEVER BUY AN CANON PRODUCT ANYMORE!
Oh ... NOT surprising though .. Easier and cheaper to buy new printer than inks in my experience Tomislav !
The PIXMA series of printers are the worst.
I can't understand what she is saying, and the screen images are too blurry to see. This is not helpful if you have stumbled into the hell that is trying to use a Canon printer for scanning.
Cannot understand what the *&%$ she is saying. She starts out clear then when she gets to the objective her speech turns into a garbled mass of sounds.
yesterday bought g3430, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. NOT USER FRIEND AT ALL!
Sorry you're having a frustrating time - is there anything specific we can help with?
