Jerry Reed: a grand master guitarist, an under-rated singer songwriter and a true entertainer. And as we learn from his lovely family, a loving family man. Rest his creative soul.

Jerry Reed could play the guitar like nobody else could you could sing all types of music and I was surprised when I heard him sing and rock and roll and some of the other ones really really shocked me he had a great voice he had a voice he could take all types of music and the guitar he was so fantastic and great nobody compare them to he did not get the credit he needed for his songwriting his singing and all the other how great he was at all of those stuff and the movie acting he is funny he made everybody laugh just missed hearing him sing play his guitar he'd make you laugh and him and Marty Robbins when they got together singing to make you laugh and a joke around

Jerry Reed. That guy just had IT, like no other. I grew up listening to metal and rock music when I was a kid coming up in the 80's. I started digging through my grandmother's albums one day (her sister - my Great Aunt - is Hall of Famer Jean Shepard) when I found Jerry Reed's album. And man, that guitar picking blew my mind. I thought there were several instruments being played, not just a single guitar! That led me to digging into Merle Travis and further exploration of country guitarists. Jerry will always be number one in my book - the best guitarist and best entertainer of his era and beyond, hands down. I just wonder what happened to him in his later years?

I was the driver in the red and white check shirt with western star hat you served coffee to for an hour or so at the grand opening commercial of the 76 truck stop in Nashville Tennessee wondering where I could get a picture or two. We were posted in the Rion McNally road Atlas and little hang up in truck stops around the country hope you are doing good.

Arguably the most innovative guitar player of our time. Jerry played things on the guitar that we're never done before, he created the sound.

The great Chet Atkins said "He does things on a guitar I don't even dream of". (some what paraphrased)

Jerry Reed was among the best guitarists there were and then you add in the songs that he wrote and sung. Sometimes I go on UA-cam and look for videos of him playing and singing. He is missed by a world of people!

Although I never had the honor and privilege of meeting the man I can honestly tell you straight from my heart they don't make men like that anymore... Not at all, those days are long gone, Jerry Reed was the Jimi Hendrix of country music hands down as well as one of the most talented singer-songwriters that country music has ever seen and in my own personal opinion one heck of an amazing actor as well I totally love this guy from beginning to end, one seriously talented dude across the board he will always be sadly missed this Earth will never see the likes of a Jerry Reed again and that I am certain of
God bless your incredible heart and your amazing soul Jerry 🙏🙏🙏 you are truly one of a kind my brother and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for sharing your talents gifts abilities and your treasures with us all, because this world is a greater place because of it

Jerry should have been in this long ago. Its unacceptable for a man with all he did. To not have been awarded this when he was alive. Totally outrageous for you in Nashville not to have done this sooner
