    Another great video. Love those river carp. I'm from the UK but have fished the St Lawrence a few times and the carp fight like no other, they are all beasts. Please keep the vids coming although it will start getting harder😊

      Will do Simon and I appreciate the support. I'm about an hour and a half away from the St. Lawrence (I live on the SE shore of Lake Ontario) and I plan to do a day trip/overnight there sometime this year or early next. Lol yeah, the carp fishing days are numbered. Around late November to December most water ways will be forming ice and covered in ice by January, in my neck of the woods. Gonna try and make a few trips out though until maybe mid December. I might even try getting one under the ice while ice fishing this winter. Lol we'll see.

    I love this time of year when the temps are cooling down but with all the rain we got this summer, the skeeters are as bad as I’ve ever seen em right now. Man the difference between those 8-10 pounders and those 20 plus guys is massive. Nice ! Good stuff buddy, I’d be pumped too. I know it’s a haul but the St Lawrence has some monster carp, I’m sure you can find a 30 pounder closer to home.

      For sure Don, the skeeters have been especially bad this year. Late summer and early fall this year have been especially muggy and that seems to bring them out in force. Plan to do an day trip and/or overnighter maybe this year or next. It's a bit of a haul bit not too bad. Can make it there in just under an hour and a half to Abay.

    The dudes at Catfish Sumo are awesome. They operate here in Chattanooga where I live.
    Nice video and nice fish! Fall is my favorite time of year, but you are not wrong about the mosquitoes!

      The guy that owns Catfish Sumo seems like a nice guy and the rods are very nice for a fair price. Fall is my favorite time of the year too (I also hunt a lot for deer and small game) but it's been a warm September for us and very muggy.

      Thanks Mark. And again, thank you so much for your support. I have about 2+ months left before the ice starts settling in but I'll try and get out a few more time before then.

    I've been having good luck with the early morning bite. Been going at it hard, here in Nebraska it's only a few weeks 'till it'll be too cold to fish. Nights already in the low 40s, see your breath at night.

      @AmericanCarpAngler  Рік тому

      Yeah, we're hitting low 40s now for temps and we start forming ice on most ponds and lakes around mid November to mid December. By Jan 1 most everything is iced up except for the really fast moving rivers. I might try catching one under the ice this year but not sure what luck I'll have lol.

    Got to get a Thermacell for those mosquito spots. They're a little pricey to operate but really work well

      Yeah, I really need to invest on one. Guys I know that spring turkey hunt swear by them. Thanks Andy.

    another banger brother, some very nice carp mate. what catfish was that we got wells catfish here.

      @AmericanCarpAngler  Рік тому

      Thanks Spooy. I've seen those Wells catfish and they are monsters. We only have bullhead and channel catfish in my area and that was a channel cat. State record is about 36 pounds. Down south they also have Blue and Flathead cats that get much bigger.

    Those are awesome carp Fitzmagic, love all your videos. River fish are awesome to catch. Where do you get your tiger nuts from?

    • @AmericanCarpAngler
      @AmericanCarpAngler  Рік тому

      Haha thanks Allen and you can't beat the fight of river fish. Smallies, salmon and steelhead, and carp. That current that they constantly swim in makes them strong fighters for sure. The tiger nuts I ordered on Amazon. $10 for the jar I think. They've worked pretty well for me. I'll put a link for them in the Description when I get a chance.
