I've been a big Fan for over 20yrs now my friend and i can't tell you enough how much joy your songs brings to me and my wife. Continue on your Journey your a real cool Kat...
Scott Reynolds In the spirit of the other comment here, I just wanted to let you know how beautiful the song "Mary" is. It's easily one of my favorite songs of all time. I uploaded it on my channel several years ago because there wasn't an HD version on UA-cam. Mary is also the name of the girl who I first, ahem, consummated my love with several years ago. I played it for her one beautiful, sunny day when I was driving her in my car. I told her the title of the song and asked her if she thought it did her name justice after it ended. She told me that she genuinely liked the song a lot... as in, she wasn't just telling me what I wanted to hear. I actually played the version by All and the slower one by the Pavers for her back to back, and she said she preferred the original, for whatever that's worth. The song still reminds me of her and in a way encapsulates our relationship perfectly. Some of the lines you wrote are just brilliant: "She can cut my head off with the blinking of her eye" / "She carries my confusion in the pocket of her jeans/ Bouncing like a pinball in between extremes" / "Her mouth doesn't move, except to be polite, to be receptive." All brilliant. You have a gift for writing the absolute most fucking thoughtful and sincere lyrics without ever being overwrought. Hope you are well, and thank you for doing what you do!
You rock, dude! And, thanks for posting this with the lyrics. I've been trying to figure out some of those verses since stumbling on the Steaming Beast recording of this.
