You don't need to clean until the end if your production cycle. The key is to add enough wood shaving, at least 6 inches before you stock, when the birds scratch the shavings, the automatically turn the shaving/droppings over.
You made a mistake in terms of density, you made around 11/ square meter, and the requirements is 9/ square meters Also, you can have plastic slates, to keep birds feet healthy and not wet

You should watch the weights of of the birds. When the birds exceed certain weight per bird, they don't lay as much as they should.
