Well, having read the Bible, i can admit there is a lot of infanticide...
I wonder: because she's a missionary, I've seen people talk about in certain fundie christian circles how if you're called to do something under god, there's this mentality that expert or not you should do it and I wonder if that was part of her trying to treat kids.
This is absolutely what she was doing. There's a whole underground industry catering to Christian missionaries who convince themselves of this sort of nonsense.
FWIW, children whose primary health problem is malnourishment don't actually need blood transfusions very often. The fact that she apparently often and eagerly decided to do transfusions may be kind of suggestive of her seeing this as her favourite kind of medical procedure, and not being good at deciding when it would be appropriate to do it.
She sounds like a real Mother Theresa type. And I don't mean that as a compliment.
Just wanted to point out that allergic reactions do happen to blood transfusions even when it's the right type. Not to excuse unlicensed medical care, just to point out she was probably telling the truth about the right blood type. Given that complications can occur though, begs the question why do it away from a hospital in the first place.
yeah, I would focus more on...why did the kid get a blood transfusion? what was the rationale? or did I miss that?
She sounds like a pet hoarder, except for people - "I know that I am causing them suffering, but no one else could love them as much as i do so this must be the best that is possible for them, so i will keep doing it."

Also ironic of this podcast to say white people shouldn't tell the stories of others.
