When Nebraska decided to hire Matt Rhule two seasons ago, I have to admit that Fickell was my first pick. I respect him as a coach but I'm delighted that things went in the direction they did. There's a lot of similarities between these two programs. I'll be pulling for Wisky to beat Minnesota next week.
Jesus Fricken Christ! Minnesota was 4-3 in Big 10 before the loss at home to Penn State. Did any Badger fan see all the empty seats in Minnesota’s tiny 52,000 capacity stadium? It was HALF empty! My point of frustration Minnesota probably no more than 28,000 in their stadium while we (Wis) get over 80,000 bodies yet Minnesota apparently lapping us with better coaching, better quarterbacking, spirit and decisions. There is NO WAY Minnesota with less resources and interest in football should be making greater strides than us (Wis)! We (Wis) are sinking to the bottom of the barrel!

Fickell says nothing enlightening every press conference. Platitudes, worn out cliches. He always claims to take the blame. Then why doesn’t he leave. There was a whole string of awful head coaches before the Barry era. Fickell has added his name to that list. I doubt he finishes out his contract before he’s fired.
