I thought the “rule” was not to try on out of budget dresses yet the consultant broke that rule.

With a 4500$ budget the consultant should had found her SEVERAL beautiful dresses, without going over budget.

Also, I've seen that in the majority of their videos, they offer dresses that fit the range, but they never go below the budget-they always either equal it or go above and beyond.
diana just might be the WORST consultant for respecting budgets. $4500 is already A LOT and why on earth would "elegant and understated" mean you have to spend SIX GRAND? i'm so sick of her bullying brides and trying to upsell them just to boost her commission.

I agree. All the shows with Diane are always the same. She always goes over and it's really clear she wants to maximize her commission more than she wants to listen to the bride.
Diane was so damn wrong for even pulling a dress so expensive.. I guess her commission was more important than the bride's budget.. SMH!! Kinda pissed at this episode.. 🙄🙄
Agreed.. all this talk about budget worth the planner and the they blow it out of the.. I have seen so many dresses that are gorgeous for half that price

You are supposed to trust your consultant. Diane threw that to the wind and got a fat commission. The client could have left in tears! This is a terrible advertisement for Kleinfelds
It was very unfair and unethical to show the bride a dress 50% over her budget. It gave me a bitter taste in my mouth and I feel sorry for the bride's family who was put on the spot through unethical selling from the assistant.
amen! that said, what a lovely family-entourage!! they teamed up to make it work for that sweet bride. i love the camaraderie! beautiful sweet people, all of them. except greedy diane--grr.

There's no excuse for them to exceed a bride's budget. Why didn't they show her cancelation dresses, or sample dresses they could sell in her price point?

It just makes me mad, when Courtney said a little over $4500. That the consultant showed her a dress way over her budget. That's why they should NEVER say yes to going over the budget.

This was so wrong that they went over her budget. Unprofessional behavior just for commission.
Diane didn’t respect her budget but neither did she. She could have stood her ground and said no. But she just continued saying she was an only child and spoiled. And I never heard a thank you.

I've seen comments when someone in the wedding party picks out a over budget wedding gown for that person to pay the difference. How about telling the consultant if they pick over budget that they, the consultant would be responsible to pay the difference.

How is it that there are no other options with a healthy budget of $4500??!! Shame on Diane and shame on the bride for agreeing to try it on. All told it'll be close to 10K when you factor in a veil, alterations and shoes.

I agree with others, There’s no reason to go over budget! I’ve seen it proved on this show! Every size shape and age can find a dress in budget. It seems to be waiting for them. And think what they can do with $3K extra, it’s lot of furniture for a new house.

Got to say, Diana isn't my favorite consultant. I feel she pulls dresses knowing they are out of the bride's price range. I am astonished when Courtnee says her budget is $4500, and Randy & Diana look at each other like it's not feasible and could she stretch it a little. You probably would get a better deal at a smaller bridal shop. You only wear the dress one time for about 6 hours, and after you get your photo's back you rarely look at them after the first year.

Kleinfeld has so many dresses, I'm surprised they couldn't find something comparable to the Pnina in her price range.

Or cap the commission when a consultant goes over the budget. You sold a 7200 dress? Good for you! You still only get commission on 4500, because you KNEW that was the budget. Maybe they would stop part of that nonsense.

When i bought my dress i went to a shop, told them my budget, without asking if there was wiggle room she came in with a dress $2000 over budget. I walked out. Went to another shop and got a beautiful dress for $2500 under budget.

When it comes to showing out of budget gowns, Diane is the worst.
It always seems like Diane is trying to upsell to the bride. Really annoying. Feels like she's focused on her commission and not on helping a bride select a dress she loves that is in her budget.

IMO Diane only wants to try and make a big commission and sometimes doesn’t have bride/budget in mind. Randy always says not to bring a dress in over the brides budget well that wasn’t done here by Diane OR Randy.
And Randy should had said something to Diane. This is an emotional time for brides and they should not be taken avantage of.

4:18. What Randy says here is the unspoken truth of bridal gowns. The better the design, the more simple and more expensive. It takes taste to go understated. And I agree with much that has been said, the dress should not have been shown to the bride. Beading is the most expensive thing you can do to a garment, and that wedding dress was covered in it.
Good grief, go in with a firm budget and don’t waiver. You’ll be in that dress for maybe 4 hours. Then what? It sits in your closet.

Diane frequently pulls dresses that are above the bride’s budget. It is disrespectful. She may have an eye for style and what looks best on the bride, but her disregard for how much a bride or her parents can afford tarnishes the dress-buying experience. It puts undue pressure on the bride and her family, and that isn’t neither necessary nor fair.
If I was a bride with an appointment at Kleinfeld’s, I’d run shrieking from the store if Diane was assigned as my consultant.

There is no excuse for showing a bride address that is double her budget. They do this all the time at Kleinfeld, which is why I would never go there to shop for a wedding gown. There are too many good bridal salons, who would not engage in these tactic.

Everybody is going to fall in love with a car or a house twice as expensive as they can afford.
But no real estate agent is going to take you to a million dollar house when your budget is $500K.
Is it just me or does Diane ALWAYS & when I mean ALWAYS I MEAN JUST THAT, pulls dresses way out of the brides budget ?! With over 5,000 dresses in that store, you couldn’t find a dress well within her price range?! I feel like some consultants only worry about their commission when finding a dress for a bride.
The dresses looked the same to me, yet the silly consultant pulled one way over budget and guilted the bride's entourage into making up the difference.
I guess, she's on a commission, so maybe she's not so stupid after all which makes her ruthless. She's a smiling assassin to be wary of.
