@@OrdinaryAdventures You two are some of the nicest people, extra ordinarily nice and easy to spend time with like an extra ordinary friend. GREAT video....I am curious to know if you can still add an extra piece of chicken?
I visited all the way from Australia and BTTF is my favourite all time movie, this guy is honestly the best character entertainer in the park. Goes out of his way to always approach someone :)
I really like the Knott’s chicken for many reasons. #1 you don’t need a theme park ticket to enjoy it, #2 sides and portions are a lot better than any of the other 2. #3 you got boysenberry, to me it’s a clear win Mrs. Knott’s chicken
Those that Truely Think otherwise have not either even tried Mrs. Knott's & are pro Disney...or they see the price as being too high at Knott's (even though the portion/overall taste of the food is much better).
@@patrickhausenfleck9045 I agree, NO ONE beats Knotts. Even going into this video they admitted that they were pro Disney assuming Disney would win. Also, how exactly does the look of a restaurant change the taste of a meal? Most of the points they gave Disney over Knotts had to do with them liking the look of the restaurant more. And the price? Almost $20 for a smaller meal was good while $25 was too expensive for a larger meal that includes unlimited (and better) biscuits and dessert? And a better selection for sides? Somehow Disney is better because they offer you green beans or more mash potatoes with your meal?
Love how Doc interaction with guest. I asked him for a pic and he looked at his watch and said "Ok, make it fast though" we watched him peeking in windows and looking around like he's lost 🤣
I love the transition from healthy theme park food to who has the best friend chicken? Ordinary Adventures giving us the full range and catering to all tastes, bravo 👏
I’ve had knotts once and the portioning, price and all the food you get is the best deal of any theme park. I’ve never had fried chicken at Disneyland because there’s so much other food to try but knots was amazing.
LOL!! Your conversation with Doc Brown was Jigowatts Perfection!!! one of the BEST Character Interactions I have ever seen!!! That Doc Brown was ON!!!!!! That clip is the next best thing we will have to Back the Future 4! Maybe it could serve as inspiiration for a sequel to BttF or even inspiration for a sequel series for Back to the Future - The Extra (Ordinary) Adventures of Doc and Clara Brown!!! LOL
The honey butter biscuit from Universal, with the all the sides from Knotts, (including the pie) and the chicken from Disneyland and you would have the perfect meal 😋
I love this video, so much info, and great content! I liked the fried chicken comparisons and the introduction to the Christmas merchandise at Disneyland, For me, though, nothing can compare to Mr. Knott's Fried chicken.
I think Knotts would be the better choice overall since you could always get a good fried chicken meal without having to pay for theme park admission. But Plaza Inn has always been my top choice when going to the parks. Thank you guys for another great video. Going to head over to Disneyland soon to check out that Star Wars merch.
I’ve always been a thigh guy! BUT lately I’ve been loving the breast IF it’s cooked right. You guys make me want to go to Knotts for the food! It’s in the bucket list now:)
The cast member playing Doc Brown was awesome! I prefer Breast because it just has more meat. That guy at 15:59 that posed for your camera...🤣 When I was a kid in central Massachusetts, we used to have wild Rhubarb growing in our neighborhood. it was very tart and stringy and crunchy but was great if you rinsed it with water and dipped it in sugar. Has Peter ever been to Wright's Farm in Rhode Island? Best Chicken in the world! 😉 OOOO! Christmas merch! Thank you for taking us on your adventure! So much fun! 😁
Yes- the animators’ drawings on the wall of the “secret club “ are the real deal. I know this because my cousin’s sketch is up there-he’s an animator for The Simpsons. Mahalo for doing this episode on the fried chicken. It’s been a controversial subject in the family. Personally, I like knott’s.
Disneyland's chicken wins for me hands down. I visited LA several times in my teens and even after several decades now, I still remember the smell and taste of Plaza Inn's 'flavorful' chicken. The only thing I remember from Knotts was the amount of food and, of course, the boysenberry.
I worked at Knotts for 7 yrs. It was my first job ever. I learned all the secrets back in the late 80's. When Mrs Knott was actually there. The Thanksgiving thing. Is so crazy - people are so rushed. Its not the best experience. But who knows its been many years since I did it. So hopefully its better now.
You both gave Plaza Inn chicken a 5 out of 5, but did not officially give it an Ordinary Adventures Star. I was anticipating, but was sad I didn't see it.
Oooooh what a fun video, I LOVE a good fried chicken!! If I was to judge on just the fried chicken alone, it would be Plaza Inn all the way! I love the crunchy crispiness of the outside and the juiciness of the inside. But I agree with Kitra in that Knott’s has the best meal value for your buck. ❤
Ya know... watching you guys eat chicken is making this soup taste like puddle water... (edit) towards the end, the tone in Peter's voice when he says, "what did you find?" when she has the christmas crocks cracked me up. Thanks so much for sharing... have a great weekend.
I tried the famous Plaza Inn chicken on my recent trip to DL for Halloween and it was so SPICY!! I couldn't eat it! I would choose the Knotts Berry Farm chicken for sure!
a friend of mine went to Knotts for Halloween and brought me back bottle of boysenberry hot sauce and omg im hooked its so yummy and great on pork chops
Going to DL on the new year and will definitely have some Plaza Inn Fried Chicken. Haven’t had it since 2020 and remembering how good it was. Great video!!!
Knotts tip: order from thr to go spot right next to the restaurant they have family meals and it much cheaper than the sit down restaurant. You can eat at the tables by Starbucks as a season pass holder this is the best meal to feed a group. And if you have a season pass you get a discount too.
Now I want fried chicken!! Hoping to make it to Disneyland next year for our first time. The Plaza will definitely be on the to do list. Our favorite fried chicken in the Orlando theme park area is at Disneys fort wilderness at a place call P and Js. It’s a quick take out place at Disney resort. The fried chicken meal is amazing. Highly recommend if you two make it out that way again. We go there each trip to get the chicken meal and then walk over and check out the horse barn. That’s where they keep all the horses on Disney property. Pretty cool.
Love this taste test at the parks, do love me some fried chicken and been a fan of it for 46 years. Favorite piece the thigh, has a good texture and flavor with the dark meat. Now time go hit the Colonel chicken soon now.
Well, now I'm hungry... but besides that, this is great! Who would have thought Disney would beat Knotts?! Thanks so much for sharing! Definitely going on our list of things to try one day. Oh, and chicken leg all day!
Every year on my birthday on my family's annual trip to Disneyland we make our pilgrimage to Plaza Inn for our chicken meal. Always the most flavourful juicest chicken 🥰🥰🥰🥰💖💖💖💖great video of your breakdown of all the 🐔🐔🐔👏👏👏sooo hungry now😭😭😭🤣😂🤣😂
What! Outrageous! Everyone knows that Magic Mountain has the best chicken!!! (Kidding). 😂 I have the same trouble deciding between Knott’s and Disneyland. I will say I have never found the Knott’s Chicken to Go as good. It doesn’t even seem like the food came out of the same restaurant. So I guess there is a lot to be said for the full table restaurant experience and presentation. During the covid shutdown though, it was nice to sit at tables right in the middle of Grand Avenue, eating my box of Chicken, knowing that this would be a once in a lifetime thing.
Thank you so much for this video, as I live in WA and can’t eat theme park chicken I am now heading to KFC for dinner tonight and - Cut Water Mai Tai for dessert! Much love ❤️
Thank you so much for this video…My husband and I make the trip to South California just for Plaza Inn and Mrs. Knotts Chicken! We love the Plaza Chicken ( I love the Breast and Hubby loves the Legs) and Mashed Potatoes best and Knotts Biscuit’s and Boysenberry Pie !
They double deep fry the chicken, soooooo good. They brine the chicken in a salt and sugar water for about 1hr. Then Into a seasoned flour mixture. I have the recipe from a Knott's berry cookbook.
Next time you guys are in orlando my advice stop by a publix and pick up some fried chicken from the deli...its a local delicacy along with chicken tender subs
I had to go back and add it all up 😆
Disney = 70.5 points
Knotts = 64 points
Universal = 56 points
Thanks
@@OrdinaryAdventures You two are some of the nicest people, extra ordinarily nice and easy to spend time with like an extra ordinary friend. GREAT video....I am curious to know if you can still add an extra piece of chicken?
That guy playing Doc was brilliant
For a fraction of a second I thought “isn’t Christopher Lloyd old now, why is he here?”
He did an amazing job
Drumstick or thigh.
I visited all the way from Australia and BTTF is my favourite all time movie, this guy is honestly the best character entertainer in the park. Goes out of his way to always approach someone :)
Seriously! Was that off the cuff? He was perfect.
"You're not thinking 4 dimensionally!". Hahaha. That guy was the best. I love the great character actors at Universal.

Disagree. Your not comparing chicken. Your comparing other things like sides, dessert or ticket cost. That wasn’t the question.
You guys should do more videos like this comparing food from all 3 parks😊
This is why I love you guys! You’re doing the hard investigative pieces that no other journalists would touch. #forscience
Goes very well with Fresh Baked recent corn dogs test, have to say both are very useful! #forscience !
lol :)
🤣
Love how Doc interaction with guest. I asked him for a pic and he looked at his watch and said "Ok, make it fast though" we watched him peeking in windows and looking around like he's lost 🤣
😂 love it
The Knotts meal comes with dessert!! Knotts all the way ❤ and the best part of the chicken 🐔 is the thigh 🎉
👍
I just started watching some of your old videos sorry about that but so far there great the videos I mean and you guys are great too.
😁 thanks
@@OrdinaryAdventures your welcome 🤗.
This is Brilliant and I enjoyed it so much!
Thanks so much Nate! I think we are going to do the same thing with some other food items too

My heart sang when you put the corn in the mashed potatoes!♥

Thanks for the recommendation. The boysenberry dressing and the beer were excellent. Thanks again guys for the great content too!!

I agree with Kitra, plus you forgot the 10 points to Knotts for the courtyard fountain bathroom!
Ha
Great video! Knott's also has the "Chicken to go" so you can take your fried chicken home.

Totally
Plaza Inn! The portion size and the quality is just way better!
👍 I think the portion size at knotts is better though
Watching your interactions with Doc Brown made my day. Thank you for sharing. New sub alert!
Plaza Inn fried chicken is the best IMHO :)
We saw you guys at Universal! That's our stroller in the reflection of Cletus' chicken shack. Saw you were filming and we didn't want to disturb you.
As a chicken enthusiasts I love this keep up the awsome Content !

That weight indicator is a really nice feature on those bags If we didn’t already dig our go penguin bags we would be all over them
👍
Kitra's face - 😣- "I'll eat the green beans (if I have to)"
😂

The fried chicken at Flo's V8 Cafe over at Cars Land is the best and it's actually worth it for the price cause the portions are big.

Ha
When I lived in California we would go to Knotts just for the fried chicken and jam
Welp, guess I’ll be stopping by Knott’s for a to-go box on Sunday after our Disneyland weekend!
Chicken and decor DL, Biscuits and PIE at Knotts 😊 and you gotta have corn not green beans 😊
Not sure if this was asked already but did y’all go to all 3 in one day?? Either way y’all are amazing! P.S. KFC is bomb 💣
Not one day but two
I didn't know Doc was part of the Meet & Greets!

MRS Knott's fried Chichen is the best along with plaza inn at Disneyland park
Great video! 🙌😎
I Love im watching this knowing full well I live in the UK and can't afford to fly to southern california

I think another good contender is “Tastes Like Chicken” from the Skipper Canteen in WDW! Fried chicken with an Asian flair.
Will have to try that
