Watching this 20 hours later and it’s totally obsolete. BTC 35.5 k.
Nathaniel one question. The specifics of the price suppresion. The whales moved 13500 BTC at the time worth 550 million US$s. How come just half a billion in an almost that day 800 billion Us$ asset class can suddenly take the price from 42K to 38K instantly? Would you please open that up a little more? Probably that there were no bids for the lower asks and that triggered a chain reaction to lowertr the price to the point that those 1300BTC was last sold and that happened to be at 38K. Is that the case so? If yes than we were sitting at an elevated spot where it was completely almost empty from 42K to 38K... and how that little money (in contrast to its market cap and the magnitude of the market that human pscyhology perceives) can have such a profound effect instantly? That's a vulnerability in that sense. Is it possible to move ie Gold's price with that less money in contrast to its market cap that quickly? Thanks a lot.

It could be NVT, Hash Ribbon, UTXO spend age.... or Whatever
But none of them are reliable, and you cannot backtest it to make a useful strategy.
It just some random people giving you some random explanation about the price movement.
And onchain information is getting less useful since more and more action is happening in Exchange.
Please do your own research and place bet wisely.

775,000 traders doesnt seem as huge a number considering you have a lot of micro traders who are using even mobiles to leverage daily. Maybe if there was a percentage to that figure it would put things into perspective.

What you said about exchanges not being able to handle the volume is spot on. I tried to catch the bottom on a coin and couldn't buy until the price rebounded up .15. Was still a good buy. I think my exchange didn't have the delays as bad as others.

The markets are going continue to be volatile because all we are seeing is small groups of people buy and sell crypto..not enough people own crypto so when the few whom do hold bitcoin trade it you see major rises and falls of bitcoin price ..the price of bitcoin needs to crash BACK to 3k to allow a mass adoption..if more people do not join the bitcoin trade the fate of bitcoin is very very very dismal.

I sold everything after 5 years of diamond hands. No leverage. It was because I saw the fed threatening to taper. Then I lost 20% in an hour and could use coinbase so panicked. Regretted it a few minutes later but had moved all cash out to fiat banks and still can't get it moved back in!
I sold all my BTC as well, it seems Tesla (which made me rich already) is attractively priced now, so all in TSLA again. I will however watch Bitcoin and might invest again, good luck everyone...

With or without leverage traders, the market had to crash. The bullrun was to long and the price surge too steep. Those who deny this are either fools or provocators. The bullrun always lasts for about a year after the Bitcoin halving, then it always ends. See you in 2024. There can be lesser, mini-bullruns in 2023 or late 2022 though.
